Arivid paces in Atemu's room. "Pharaoh, please be gentle tonight," he whispers in prayer. "Please Atemu."

Atemu bursts through the door with a wicked smile. "Are you ready to take your punishment, General?"

Arivid genuflects, bowing deeply. "Yes Pharaoh, I am."

Atemu shoves Arivid onto his back. "On the bed then, you know the way I want you."

Arivid scampers to his feet and runs to the bed. He pulls off his clothes and lies on his stomach, hips in the air. "May I please you and the Gods, Pharaoh."

Atemu smirks. "You will if you know what's good for you." He advances to the vulnerable man. He pulls up his kilt and presses the tip of his erection at Arivid's entrance. "Don't scream Arivid. You won't like the consequences of disobeying me."

Arivid nods "Yes, Pharaoh-oh!" his voice becomes breathy as Atemu forces himself through Arivid's tight, clamping anal canal. He clenches his jaw shut to keep from making noise.

Atemu moans Arivid's name, delighting in the sheer tightness he did not always get with Seth. He rests his hips on the other man's read. "Always tight for me, General. Don't you let your little whore top you? Or does he simply not have the capability to?"

Arivid tenses, hands twitching slightly at the rage which consumes him. He rears up, knocking Atemu backwards off the bed. He turns to the confused man with a glare. "Seth may be a whore to you, Pharaoh, but to me, he is much more. He is my lover, friend and someone I can tell anything. I don't think you will ever understand what he means to me.

My [lover's] eyes are nothing like the son

Coral is far more red than [his] lips red.

If snow be white, then [his breast be] dun,

If hairs be wires, [brown] wires grow on [his] head.

I have seen roses damasked, red and white,

But no roses see I in [his] cheeks.

And in some perfumes there is more delight

Than in the breath that from my [lover] reeks,

I love to hear [him] speak, yet well I know

That music hath a far more pleasing sound.

I grant I never saw a God go,

My [lover], when [he] walks, treads on the ground.

And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare

As any [he] belied with false compare.

I'm sorry you can't understand this, Pharaoh, but please forgive me for thinking this way. Perhaps I should retire to my room…"

Atemu stands and nods "Yes, General, perhaps you should. You are going to war tomorrow. Ask yourself this while you are away, if Seth is such a wonderful lover, why does he run to the Thief King when you are away? The entire city can hear him scream on those nights. Sometimes it sounds like he's getting it from two people at once. Who is your little tiger sleeping with when you're not around?"

Arivid listens; swallowing the tears that burn at his eyes. How can I be so stupid? I thought Seth loved me with all his heart… Why does he go to Baki and Jhefre? Haven't I been good to him? Arivid calmly walks to the exit of the room after bowing to Atemu. "Good night Pharaoh. Sleep well."

"Good night, General. Give your tiger a good night kiss for me."

Arivid stops and turns to see Atemu's head bowed tears sliding down his face. Arivid goes over to him and leans down, bringing Atemu into a tight embrace as he used to "Thank you, Pharaoh." He releases the man and trots back to his room pondering the questions that had been raised.
