Chapter 2

Questions Arise

Malik wakes up to find that Tris is slapping him awake. Malik shields his eyes from the glare of Tris' glasses and Tris stands up looking concerned as do Sketch and Nyriana.

" What happened?? And why am I here?"

" No clue." Tris spoke her eyes searching Malik curiously. " I thought you would have known."

Malik stood up and looked around. According to an alarm clock it was 3 in the morning. He rubbed his head and looked up. Tris, Sketch but Nyriana the most had dark circles under their eyes and looks of concern on their faces.

Sketch was fiddling with something on the inside of his robes.

Sketch noticed Malik was watching him and stopped.

" Well I guess taking you back to.....wherever though it is out of the question at this time in the morning." Nyriana said. Everyone jumped at the sound of her voice. She had been standing in a corner almost completley unnoticed.

" Well your all suprised at me stating the obvious right?" Nyriana snapped.

' What's up with Nyriana?' Sketch thought, then the power which was so hard to control hit.

Sketch doubled over and fell as if feeling he was being pulled from this realm; the pain, it was unbearable.

" Sketch!!!!!!" Tris screams. She couldn't lose her little brother. Not again. " Sketch hang in there!!!!"

Nyriana froze. ' Did I cause this?' Nyriana thought tears welling up in her eyes. ' No I would never do this. Amon Ra what is the meaning of this???' / It is not me/ ' Then why is one of my best freinds in such agony????!!!' / He was never allowed to stay in this realm. Thoth wanted him to stay in the Underworld./ ' Thoth??? Him??? What do you mean Amon Ra??' / Thoth the god of wisdom saved Osiris for Isis but he had been in the afterlife for too long. He was forced to become Lord of the Underworld and never set foot in the physical land again. Whenever ' Sketch' becomes his Yami self he struggles to remain here/ ' What can I do?' / Let me take over./

Nyriana was enveloped in red and gold light. Once more her Yami self was present.

" Thoth!!!!!! Show yourself!!!!"

Beautiful white light enveloped everyone. Malik who had been crouched with Tris by Sketch stared in amazement.

A being of Wisdom appeared; Thoth the god who had kept Osiris to the underworld.

" Amon Ra, you called?"

" I demand you set this child free of your curse."

" Curse?? The people of the world cannot know of the afterlife- My purpose is to protect. I use my wisdom for good Amon Ra. You know that."

" This child is only a descendant of Osiris he knows no secrets!!!!!!! The child is in agony and you stand unable to see what your ressurection of Osiris has done to him!!!!! Yet you stand here claiming to be a god of wisdom. Then see the truth!!!! Damn you Thoth free this child!!!! Now!!!!!!"

Thoth glared but placed his hand in front of him.

The Rune around Sketches twisting neck flew into Thoths hand and shone green untill it returned to the twisting form of Sketch.

Sketch relaxed and felt air rush into his lungs. He looked up at his older sister, Tris who had tears streaming down her cheeks.

Tris hugged her brother tightly feeling him hug her back. 'It had been to close. She would have lost him........ She couldn't think like that. She had to defend Sketch from the spirit which inhabited him. Even if it killed herself.'

Malik smiled sincerely as Tris and Sketch hugged then he turned his attention to " Amon Ra" and " Thoth"

Yami Nyriana stared intently at Thoth and nodded. Thoth left in a shower of light. She switched back to Nyriana then fainted.

Malik was the first to reach Nyriana after she fainted.

" Are you alright Nyriana???"

I think I might have gotten the thing about how Osiris became a god, you know how he died Thoth, i think, ressurected him for Isis but he knew secrets of the Underworld and couldn't share them with the world so he was forced to stay in the underworld. anyway I'm not sure if it's accurate cuz I'm stupid.]
