“Hey Ariadna.” Ariadne looked up from her text book. “It's him again.” There was Alex eyeing Aisten, the student who had come from Greece two and a half months ago. Aisten, the albino to some of the students. He wasn't a true albino but he was pale and had short white hair. His eyes were a very dark blue however and stood out like gems. His face had a feminine look to it, but after a moment of looking you could tell he was a man by the shoulders. The rest of his body was lean. To the female population of the school he was known as Prince. Currently he was walking through the library three of his fans walking beside him.
“Stupid.” Ariadna thought returning to her book. “Those girls.” She recalled when Aisten had first approached her
Two months ago…………..

~*Ariadnas point of view in the Past~*
I walked through town glancing at the few window displays on Main street. I stopped to look at one in particular. The velvet box was an expensive jewelry store. There, in the front window, was what had caught my eye. A pure black stone , maybe obsidian on a silver chain. The stone in set on a white stone I didn't recognize. It was if they were opals but they were too clear to have been.
My eyes felt like they were being blurred after a moment of observing it. It seemed as though black liquid tinted by silver was swirling inside the stone. I shook my head and the illusion was gone. My breath fogged the store window while I waited for it to clear I saw a reflection. The reflection was Aisten's, the strange white haired boy. I turned to face him
“Interesting isn't it?” He asked. His voice was like silk, much like the expensive shirt he wore to school every day. He was wearing a gray jacket hands in the pocket.
“Yes.” He stepped next to me and looked down at the necklace.
“Ariadne.” He looked at me. “Your name right?”
“Yes.” He had gotten it wrong but then again people had gotten it wrong so many times and my parents said it in various ways all the time I didn't even know the right way to say my own name.
“I like it. Greek isn't it?” I nodded. He turned back to the window of the shop. “I've always like to look at that. It's captivating. It,” He looked at me and I stepped back a moment in a bit of surprise. That was my first real look at his eyes. They were cold and afire at the same time and there was something else there that perplexed me, an emotion I couldn't identify. “Draws you in.”
“Hm.” I nodded. “Excuse me. I need to go now.” I stepped around him and continued on my way to the library.
“Ariadne.” I turned over my shoulder. He smiled. I shivered from the cold, and not the winter cold. This cold the seeped from his eyes. “I'll see you at school.” He turned and walked away.
~End flash back~
That was my first encounter. There were a few more ones but they were nothing like the second one.
~*Second Flashback*~
That was my first encounter. Soon Aisten had begun to look at me during school smiling with that sly smile I knew would be scary if I allowed myself to see it that way.
“You know Ariadne you're quite smart. The smartest person here actually.” He was walking next to me . I looked at him what the hell. “Oh come on everyone here is half-witted. Stupid humans.” He snickered. “But not you. There's something about you that makes you stick out.” His voice was cool unwavering. “You must feel detached from all of these people. They just can't keep up with you.”
“No way. I was 8th on the test. Hannah and Teresa are much smarter than me.” I told him.
He snickered. Shivers flew up my spine and through my head. I remember how my entire body had tensed.
“I didn't mean that kind of smart. Those girls probably wouldn't catch a ball is it was thrown to them. Or dodge a punch if it was aimed straight at their face.” He was about 6'1 only an inch taller than myself. As he looked down at me still chuckling, I felt much smaller. Even so I maintained my normal cool and looked at him.
“And you think I could?” A gleam came to his eye. I only had a split second to react. I threw myself to the right and his fist collided with the locker that I had previously been leaning against.
“Yep.” He smiled and then laughed. The cool I had just had even while and after dodging the punch was broken. First I felt scared then angry.
“What the hell is wrong with you?!”
“It's funny!” He continued to laugh.
~*End flashback*~
“Oh my god!” I looked up at Rachel someone you could consider my friend.
“What's up?” She, Alex, and the other girl she had been talking to turned to me.
“Guess what?!” She didn't me a chance to ask. “Aisten , the prince, he's been convicted for murder!” I jumped up from my chair so I could whisper to them.
“What? Who?” I asked hurridly.
“Not recently! A few years ago, in Greece! The police decided to tell the parents today so we could be aware!” Alex said
“But who?” I asked again. Rachel answered
“I don't know…..Oh gotta go!” The teacher was dismissing us from the library. I felt Aistens presence and whirled around
“His name was Acario.” He whispered in my ear as he walked past me.
Soon after that I started to cough up blood. Only a little at a time but enough to worry myself. I went to a doctor a family friend without my parents knowledge. He said there was nothing wrong with me. I'd soon find out how wrong that was.
