*Back at the Backdraft Base*

"Fifi I have a job for you."

"Yes sugar plum?"

"This Blitz team, I want you to you know get it on with the guy Bit Cloud."

"Why is it so important?"

"Our future depends on it all. MONEY!"

"Ooooo! You have me convinced!"

She was transported to the area with a guy that was to look like he was beating her and she hoped Bit would see her and rescue her. Later she would take him and get the money girl to go back. It was such a good plan!

"Somebody help me please!"

"Shut up bitch!" smack, slap, whap!

"Hey buddy get off the girl." Bit ran and punched the guy in the face.

"Ok OK OK! SORRY!" The man scurried off and Bit help the woman up. He took her back to the hover cargo and had her sit on the couch. He left and went to check on Chase who was still asleep from last night. He wrapped the blanket around her and went back to help the other girl.

"I need to get to town and get me some change of clothes, will you come to make sure he doesn't come again."

"I guess I could."

"You are so nice!"

"Hey Brad tell Chase I went into town to help someone when she wakes up, ok?"

"Ok Bit."

Fifi dragged him all over and then to a nice restaurant where they ate. He felt a little uncomfortable without Chase but the food was good. The girl kept looking at him and asking questions. He had later in the day bought a nice ring for Chase, hoping to give it to her when he got back.

*Back at Blitz Team Base*

"Hey Brad where did Bit go?"

"Oh yeah he went into town to help some girl who was here."

"Thanks!"

Chase thought, *A girl? Hmm I trust him, probably a friend.*

She went back into her room and dressed in a blue dress and went out for a walk with Leena. They didn't return until late and Bit and THE girl weren't back. Chase was exhausted and went into Bits' room to rest until she heard a door open.

She crept up and opened the door a crack and peeked out to see Bit standing with a very beautiful blonde girl. She wore very skimpy clothes and it showed more then necessary. They were talking then the girl reached up and kissed him passionately and grabbed his butt. She tried to pull him on to the couch but he kept fighting until the girl struck him in the stomach. From Chase's view it looked like he was kissing her chest and she thought, *How could he do this? After what they did.* She ran back into the room threw on her pilot suit and ran out to Striker Cat. Bit heard sobs and turned in time to see Chase run down to the garage. He hit the girl and ran after her, but he was too late she had left. The girl it was her fault and he knew where she was going, to the Backdraft group and the girl was part of it.

"Everyone up! Chase is gone she going back to the Backdraft!" Bit yelled as he ran to each room.

"Settle down Bit were up were up!" said Brad

"What are we going to do?" asked Leena

"Storm the Backdraft base."

"Were going to need some serious help."

"Brad call Naomi and the Fluegal team. Leena call Harry. And I'll get team lightning."

*Call to the Fluegal Team*

"Hey Naomi I need you to help us with something."

"Sure what is it?"

"Chase, Backdraft, storm their base."

"What! Sure Leon and I will be over there soon. Bye"

*Call to the Lightning Team*

"Hello I need to talk.."

"Bit! What are you calling us for!?"

"Jack put Chris or Kelly on."

"What do you want with them?"

"JACK GIVE THEM THE PHONE!!!!"

"Hello Bit its Kelly what's up?"

"I need you and the lightning team to help me storm the Backdraft base."

"Why?"

"Chase left and went back."

"Sure we'll help, Chase is our friend."

*Call to Harry*

"Hello Harry I need a favor."

"Anything for you my love anything at all will be yours."

"I need you to help storm the Backdraft base."

"I will do it but not for Chase but for you my love of-"

Leena hung up the phone.

*Backdraft Base*

"Mother!"

"Catherine!"

"You came back. Why?

He…he...he never mind I'm just back."

"Derek is in his room, I'll take you there.

We walked down the halls to the guest room and I walked in and Derek had this huge smile on his face like he planned it. I sat down next to him and he asked if he cheated on me. I told him the story but I left out one part. He then asked if I was still a virgin which personally I find very personal. I didn't answer and he must have thought not.

"We will marry today and you will be completely mine and you get everything you want."

"Yeah. Sure."

"You are not very happy. Isn't this what you want?"

"Yeah. Whatever."

I left him in his room to return to my room to get ready for the wedding but why wasn't I happy? Not because of him. But I felt something missing…

"Are we all ready?"

"Ok Bit, lead on."

The Zoids rushed on in the direction Chase had left and when they saw where she stopped there was a cliff then a large base behind it. Chase could be anywhere in there and it would take a lot to get her back. Bit was to go in and get her while the others fought and held off the guards. Bit hid Liger and ran in with Kelly and Chris behind him. They held off the guards. Bit could not get threw so he punched his way to where her room was. An alarm went off in the base but inside the church it could not be heard.

When Bit had gotten to her room he found it completely empty. A paper lay on the dresser and it said that a wedding was being held now. He ran from the room down many halls looking for the church area when he slammed through a door into the very room he was looking for. All heads turned and stared at Bit and Chase turned as well dressed in a beautiful white gown. She looked at him with a surprised look on her and Derek seemed surprised as well.

"Chase don't do this!"

"Why shouldn't I Bit?"

"Because…Because I love you. And deep down you know this isn't what you want."

"How do you know? I saw you with that girl."

"It was a set up by Derek, you have to believe me."

"Catherine don't listen were one step away from being married."

*Chase's POV*

I looked at Bit, he had come all this way to tell me. I can believe about Derek doing such things as trickery, but what am suppose to do. Am I Chase or Catherine? I thought about everything and a tear rolled down my face as I ran to Bit and hugged him so tight.

"Bit I love you."

"Catherine what are you doing?" Derek yelled in fury.

"I AM NOT CATHERINE! MY NAME IS CHASE AND YOU ARE BELOW MY LEVEL OF CARE!"

"So be it. If I can't have you no one will!"

Derek pulled out a gun and aimed it at Bit just as the trigger went off Chase jumped in front of him and took the bullet to the chest, right in her heart.

"Chase no why did you do that?!"

"I love you Bit and I would do anything for you."

"Chase you can't go I…I can't live without you!"

"I will always be with you Bit."

As her last words came out she laid still as the blood ran through her dress and her skin went cold. Bit held Chase close to him and wept so hard everyone thought he might die with her, but he stood up with her in his arms and walked out of the room.

"You can't go." Yelled Derek

Bit looked back him with a glare as people took him away for the death of Catherine `Chase' Holyt.

*Years Later, after the Royal Cup*

A young man stood in front of a grave and let a red rose fall from his hand onto the ground. Tears fell with it and he spoke, "You were with me my love through it all you helped me win the cup against your brother. Be in peace." And he left and upon the stone read, `Catherine `Chase' Hoylt Zoid pilot loyal to all to the end. May she rest in peace in heaven and wait for her love.'

Author Note: Sorry I needed to put at least something sad but of course I keep with the happy and work on that part now.

"You are Catherine and you are MINE!"

"I am no ones property but mine and you can just go to hell!"

Chase punched Derek in the face and he fell with a broken nose. He felt his nose and saw the blood on his hand, he was really shocked. He leapt forward and put his hands around her neck but Bit got a hold of him and jerked him off as Chase kicked him.

"Let me at him!" she screamed but Bit held her back and walked her to her room where she could change and pack to leave. She held his hand and walked right out of the base and what she thought was that this would not be the last she would see of the Backdraft group.

As the battle ended a message was sent to the team to inform them of the Royal Cup tournament and it would be in two weeks. Chase was really excited because it would be the most exciting thing to ever happen to her besides Bit.

He seemed very antsy lately and kept hiding something from me. It was a small blue box but I never got a hold of it to see inside. Maybe it was something good. OOOOO just thinking about it makes me blush. I wonder if it will happen after the cup or before it is just something to think about.
