I do not own anything that is related to Zoids. I would like it though so if you've got any connections..*wriggles eyebrows*

There is swearing and the rating may change for chapters to come….no pun intended.

Thunder

There was a house in the distance. She could see it sillohuted from the silent lightning dancing through the clouds. Faint thunder echoed through the river valley. Valet didn't know why a person would want to live in this place but then again she didn't even know why she was where she was. Her hands were cold. They needed to be warmed or there would be dangerous consequences she didn't want to think about at this moment in time. All her thoughts were now focused on that one beacon of light, the house. Valet really didn't mind if it was dirty. So long as it blocked the wind that so easily stabbed at her constantly. As she drew closer she felt herself growing fainter, her head now throbbed, eyes, bloodshot, look longingly at the close figure.

'Am I still breathing? Head hurts, body aches. Must reach destination……' Open scars spilled out blood though she did not know it. Isn't it funny that one does not realize pain until they see their wound?

Valet threw herself against the wall of the house finding it sturdy and stiff. Feeling around for an opening, she moved her fingers around looking for some kind of opening. Her fingers connected with a hing of some kind and traveled a short distance away from it finding a makeshift door. Using her strength to open it against the accelerating winds she fell into the more-cozy-than-it-should-be hut. No fire was needed, she had fainted on impact with the hard ground.

'A sensation on my back….So warm..'

Valets eyes opened and with it so did her head. Quickly closing her eyes from the orange light she drew closer to the warth, knowing it was fire. A voice struck out with no hesitance and friendly emotion.

"Don't get too close."

Opening her eyes again she hastily searched the room focusing in on a dark, wait two dark figures. She began to realize it was a boy and his……..organoid? An organoid...

why did it look so familiar? They sat staring at eachother for quite some time until she croaked "Valet…"

"I don't need introductions."

Valet looked down. Her fingers were scratched up and there were bandages around her arms, legs, and, well, everywhere. She lifted her arms up and pointed at him rather meakly.

"……You did this?"

He squinted his eyes at her and curtly nodded; cuddling into the blanket to cover herself up. "Well thanks I guess.." Just the she realized that the bandages were everywhere…Mouth agape she poisonously looked at him. Unaffected, he continued fiddling with whatever it was in his hands.

Valet would have never guessed that a guy could be ao antisocial. She got the point of him not liking to talk but why? she didn't know and feared the fact of being shot by him if she asked.

"You know it's kind of odd not even knowing your name!"

"……."

Valet, fuming, strode over to the door but stopped as she heard water pounding to the ground. Letting out a groan of frustration and pain. She plopped down on the ground again and scooted over towards her designated spot by the fire.

"Raven."

Cocking an eyebrow Valet looked at him warily, "That's a total of 5 words," laughing now, "So you can talk."

She thought she saw the corners of his mouth turn up.
