Chapter 2

With You

Raven was always bumping into Fiona somehow. The constant image of

her beauty was burned into his mind. Occasionally it was a hello to each

other, other times they might actually discuss something. She was always

there. Everywhere he turned he saw her. Normally, he would get

annoyed of a person who he constantly saw. She was different though.

Her presence wasn't an annoyance. He enjoyed it. It finally hit him; he

actually had feelings for someone. There was only one big problem, how

could he express his love for her? This was all knew to him.

Raven and Shadow were walking down a street. Fiona popped out of

nowhere. "Hello, Raven," she said with an ear to ear smile on her face.

Raven looked at her with no facial expression and, in a lifeless tone,

said, "Hi."

Fiona walked away a second after his responce.

I woke up in a dream today

to the cold of the static, put my cold feet on the floor

forgot all about yesterday

remembering I'm pretending to be where I'm not anymore

Raven woke up in a large hotel. He reluctantly pulled himself out of his

bed. He looked in the mirror and remembered what happened the day

before. After he had finished his little flashback. He dug his face into the

palms of his hands and muttered a "God Damn it".

A little taste of hypocrisy

and I'm left in the wake of the mistake slow to react

Van woke up in the same hotel. He walked in front of a mirror and

remembered what he did the day before.

"Hey Van, what's up?" asked Fiona.

"Nothin' much?" replied Van. "What'd you do today?"

"Nothin', I just ran into Raven today," replied Fiona.

"What, he didn't try to kill you?" asked Van.

"You know he isn't like that anymore," said Fiona.

"I know," He replied. "What did he say? What did you say?"

"Nothing. I said hi, he said hi back, then I left. Thats it," said Fiona.

"I see," Van replied. "Fiona likes Raven. Fiona is in Love with Raven.

Fiona loves Raven."

"I do not," said Fiona blushing. (a/n: it's kinda obvious isn't it) "I do--"

Her defensive yells were cut short when Van planted a small kiss on

her lips.

Van smiled to himself.

Raven was walking down one of the halls in the hotel. Fiona walked

pass him as if she didn't even acknowlege his presence. A couple

seconds later, she turned around to find Raven staring at her. She turned

away and continued to walk, smiling to herself the whole time.

Fiona and Van were walking down the street. Suddenly, Fiona stopped

walking and began staring at Raven, who was walking across the street.

Van noticed that Fiona was missing. He turned around to find Fiona

staring at Raven who was buying a soda at a vendor across the street.

Van walked over to her and tapped on her shoulder. She leveled him to

the ground with one mightly blow to his stomach.

"No, Shadow," said Raven,"I'm not goin' soft. It's just that, well, no one

else has ever been my friend before."

"ROAR," replied Shadow.

"I know yer my friend, but shes much more than a friend to me. I think, I

think I love her," said Raven.

"Roar? Roar, Roar Roar Roar (translation *really? Maybe you should

tell her*)," replied Shadow.

"But how???" asked Raven.

Raven walked up to Fiona. He had called earlier and told her to meet

him in front of the elevator on his floor (which happened to be her (and

Van's) floor).

"Hey Raven," she said. "What's this all about?"

"I wanted to tell you something," he said.

"What'd you wanna tell me?"she asked.

"Um...----" He didn't know what to say or do. His brain was telling him

to bail, while his heart was telling him to tell her. He finally thought of

something to do. He leaned over. He actually found himself kissing

Fiona. She moved back in shock of what he had just did.

"I'm sorry," said Raven quickly. "My--"

To Raven's surprise, Fiona hugged him and said, "I love you Raven."

Van got out of his hotel room. Fiona had left 15 minutes earlier to go

meet someone. He began to wonder who. As he rounded the corner that

lead to the elevators, he saw Fiona and Raven kissing. Raven??? He

turned around and ran around the corner. As soon as he turned the

corner. He stuck his head out just in time to see them break the kiss and

go off in the other direction. Van ran towards his room, slammed the

door, and broke down into tears.

NO!

A couple minutes later, Van was still crying silently. Fiona walked in the

room to find him sitting in the far right corner in the darkness. She turned

on the lights. She found that he was crying. "What's wrong?" she asked.

He managed to say one work clearly. "You."

"Me what??" she asked.

"You and --- You and Raven," he stuttered.

"Oh, my God," she said. "You saw me and Raven?"

He managed a nod. The room became silent. He stopped crying a minute

later. "You know how I felt," said Van, his voice cracking all the while.

"Yes, I knew how you felt, but I didn't feel the same way about you. You

are my best friend. You are like a brother to me," said Fiona.

"But why Raven???" he asked.

"I can't answer that," said Fiona. "I love him, he loves me."

"I see," he said. Van stood up and walked out of the room.

He walked to Raven's room and knocked on the door.

"Door is open," yelled Raven.

Van walked in.

"What do you want, Van?" asked Raven.

"I saw you and Fiona," said Van.

"You mad?" asked Raven.

"No. Well, not anymore at least," replied Van.

"Then why did you come over here?" asked Raven.

"To congratulate you, to wish you a good luck, and to give you my

blessing," said Van.

"Thanks, Thanks, and Thanks," said Raven, putting his hand on Van's

shoulder.

Fiona walked into the room. Van got up, grabbed Fiona's hand, dragged

(not literally) her over next to Raven, and placed her hand in Raven's

palm. He, then, walked out of the room. Raven hugged Fiona and gave

her a short, but loving kiss on her forehead.

And I thought guys (especially me!) couldn't write romance fanfics as

well as women (or girls) could. We probably can't, but I'm making the

effort and it's turning out better than I thought. I won't do any hentai in

this story.
