" For a jumi you can sure sleep in late"
Miki opened her eyes at the voice. Standing in the doorway was her knight, Tsuki. Groaning she through a pillow at him.
"Tsuki what did I do to deserve such an early greeting this day?"
Tsuki smirked.
" To day we leave for the white forest. To visit Vadise and Hikaru."
Miki glared at her knight. Standing she began to undress.
"That is not for another three hours. Had me the black dress and armor."
Tsuki picked up the dress, staring at Miki he slowly handed it to her.
" Your core is cracked" Tsuki noticed.
Miki glanced at her core; there was a small crack, barely noticeable.
" When I healed Ruben my power was to weak. No need to worry as long as I don't have to heal some one not of Jumi blood."
Miki slipped into her dress and armor. Tsuki only shook his head.
"My light you must be more careful."
"It's my job to help heal until Florina is revived. Even when she is revived I will never turn down Ruben."
Tsuki began to reach for his guardian but stopped. His hand dropped to his side. Quickly he turned and left. Miki sighed as she stared into the empty doorway. She clasped her last anklet on before turning to a caged bird.
"Mei do you think I was …."
Mei gave Miki a hard look.
"Miki, he cares for you and you ignore his heart. He tries to help but you throw it down. He's your knight; you're his guardian. He'll die for you."
Miki opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. Mei kept on going.
"Love for a Jumi….I'm a siren and may never feel love, only cause pain….. Tsuki may …..is …." Mei trailed off hoping Miki got the point.
" I know what you mean, Mei."
Miki leaned in to pick up the cage, then left.
'Two hours later'
Miki sat patiently waiting with Mei. The siren was currently cleaning her feathers, while Miki read a book, glancing up every time a sound was made. Footsteps brought her out of her thoughts. Looking up she found Tsuki staring down at her. Miki opened her mouth to speak but Tsuki quieted her with a wave of a hand.
"Kia has changed our schedule. We leave now."
Miki stared at him.
"Is something wrong? Is the Bejeweled City in danger?" Is Vadise? "
Tsuki quieted his guardian.
" Nothing is wrong. Kia just wants us to leave early."
Miki sighed, revived nothing was wrong. She turned to Mei.
" Mei are you ready to go?"
The siren gave her a funny look.
" Okay, Okay, stupid question." Miki muttered.
Tsuki chuckled at the two of them. Then received a set of death glares. Smiling he pushed back his green hair.
"Don't look at me like that."
Miki thoughtfully stuck out her tongue.
" Than keep you nose out of our business."
"Come on Miki it's nearly time to leave."
Tsuki leaned down and picked up Mei's cage. Sighing Miki grabbed her book and quickly followed.
Soon they reached the end of the forest and the beginning of a field. In the middle of the field stood three griffins, their red wings spread wide and their heads held high. Reaching the nearest one Miki mounted it. Leaning over she whispered their destination in its ear.
The griffin reeled its head back and began to take off. Looking behind her Miki saw Tsuki and the third griffin following.
It took them only a few hours to reach the white forest. Standing in the middle of a clearing was a girl with long purple hair.
"Good morn, Hikaru." Miki yelled.
"Good morn, Miki. Good morn, Tsuki." Hikaru yelled back.
Tsuki only waved a hand. Rearing the griffins back Tsuki and Miki landed in the clearing. Jumping off the griffin Miki ran to greet Hikaru.
"Hika, do you know why we where summoned so early? Tsuki knows but will not tell me. I fear it may be of the worst."
Hikaru shook her head.
" I'm afraid not. I'm as confused as you, if your knight will not tell you then…."
Miki nodded. "It may be worst than what we believe."
Hikaru's eyes drifted toward a path in the forest.
"Miki, Daena is here and I am afraid to inform you that Elazul has also arrived."
Miki stared at her.
"What is that fairy doing here? Does he wish to lose his life?"
Hikaru slowly backed away, fearing the wrath of the jumi.
"I believe the dragons have formed an alliance, in order to defeat the red dragon and the dead army."
"They had better not pair me up with that fairy."
Hikaru took another step back.
"They most likely will, with you a dragoon of the golden dragon and him a dragoon of the white dragon, you two together would be unstopable."
Sighing Miki turned and began to follow Tsuki as he disappeared into the white forest.
