I felt my head and blooded body hit a patch of sand. I groaned and opened my eyes a bit.

An island I thought and lost myself to darkness a second time.

A few minutes later I heard voices and a boy yelling," somebody's hurt!"

Hurt? Oh yeah… my home…my family I thought to myself.

My eyes were still closed when a person rolled me over onto my back. My eyes opened to slits to stare into a young boy's eyes. I groaned a little in pain as my shoulder and side seared in pain.

" Don't move, I have my friends coming to help you," he said with a grin, " and my name's Sora."

" Megan," was my only reply as another wave of pain hit me.

I heard footsteps again as a girl and boy around my age ran up to me and the kid named Sora.

" Can you sit up," a girl said kneeling next to me.

Trying to sit up, I did, but the pain was unbearable in my shoulder. I gasped in pain as my shoulder felt as if it was on fire. I almost fell back on the sand but two strong arms caught me. I looked up and looked into a pair of cerulean colored eyes.

" Thank you," I muttered crackly.

Sora set to work on my shoulder and the girl took to my side.

" Where did you get these," Sora asked looking at the three gashes in my shoulder blade.

" Dark creatures," muttered in pain as Kairi washed my wound.

He didn't say anything after that.

" By the way, my name's Kairi and the guy holding you is Riku," the girl said finishing up my side.

" Sora, Kairi, and Riku. Where have I heard these names before," I muttered thinking hard.

The trio looked at me confused.

" Oh shit," I yelled with my eyes going wide.

" What," they all asked at the same time.

" This cannot be happening, this cannot be happening," I muttered getting up quickly, forgetting my wounds.

" What can't be happening," Riku asked giving me a look.

" If I told you, you wouldn't even believe me," I replied looking at them and crossing my arms, wincing as my shoulder protested the movement.

" Try us," Riku replied as the trio got up.

I sighed and said," I can't. Not yet."

" Well in the mean time you want to go swimming," Sora asked giving his trademark grin.

" Sounds great actually," Kairi replied smiling.

" You want to come," Sora asked.

" Sure, but I can't go in the water yet," I replied smiling slightly.

" Let's go," Kairi said," I'll race you."

" Naw it's ok," I said shaking my head.

" What, no way," Riku added sitting on the white sand.

Knowing that Riku and Sora were going to race I moved off to the side.

" Ready, go," Kairi yelled.

Sora and Riku got up and ran to the door to the other side of the island. Kairi followed suit. I came last.

The others were in the water having a grand old time. I sat at the edge of a ledge above them smiling.

" So, let me get this straight. You were attacked by these shadow creatures and fell unconscious. And when you woke up you were here," Sora asked me.

" Yup," I replied nodding my head.

He shrugged, "oh well" and jumped in the water.

I looked ahead into the blazing sun thinking where my family was and if I was going to see them again.

I didn't notice that Riku had left until a whole bucket of water splashed on top of me.

I looked like a wet rag doll with my hair plastered to my face. Riku laughed at the scene.

" Riku," I yelled and got up to run after him.

He ran off as I bounded after him. Sora and Kairi smiled knowingly and laughed as I pushed Riku off the edge and into the water again.

" That is what you get for pouring water on me," I stated crossing my arms at the now really wet Riku.

" Well I got you to stop thinking and have fun," Riku replied before going under the water again.

I looked around stepping into the seawater a bit further. I was about in waist-deep water when Riku slowly came up behind me.

" Riku," I warned looking around.

Being a dumb blond I didn't look behind me. I squeaked in surprise as Riku grabbed me from behind and swam towards Sora and Kairi with me held to his side.

I could go in the water but couldn't swim without help from somebody to stay above the water. Plus the water cleaned my wounds.

" See, now you can go in the water," Riku said looking at me.

I rolled my eyes, " Well I am now."

~*~*~*~*~*~ Later that night~*~*~*~*~*~*~

We all had dried off and were sitting on the tree by the ledge on the small island next to the main land. They discussed the raft project that they were to begin tomorrow. I readily said that I would help build it if they wanted. All of them were happy of that. We had also decided that I would stay at Kairi's at one night. Then go to Sora's and Riku's. That way all of their parents could meet me.

" Megan," Sora asked.

" Yeah," I replied with my eyes closed.

" Would you tell us about your world," he asked.

I smiled at little and began," Well it's a lot different from here. There are a lot more trees and businesses. Everybody in your family helps support one another in the household. Getting jobs, bringing in money, etc. You can go to different countries and visit relatives any time you want. Kids during the day go to school to learn how to live in real life. But during the night they help around the house and spend time with their family."

" Wow," Sora muttered.

" Must be hard not being able to see your family," Kairi added.

" It's not that bad. Me and my parents weren't on the best of terms when my world was attacked anyway," I replied softly.

" It's getting late," Riku said and got up from leaning on the tree.

Me, Kairi, and Sora jumped off the tree and headed to the boats. I was to stay with Kairi tonight. We got into the boats and rowed to the other side of the island where their families were.

" Mom. I'm home," Kairi yelled," Come on in Megan."

" Hi dear," Kairi's mother greeted coming into the room," oh who is this?"

" This is Megan, she washed up on the beach today. Can she stay for the night," Kairi explained and asked.

" Sure. It's good to have company," he mother replied smiling at me.

I smiled back and said," thank you."

I felt right at home there already.
