Fan Fiction ❯ A Question ❯ Prologue

[ A - All Readers ]

I walk upon the white snow and ponder the meaning of this nature.

To this world the snow is the skin, the ground the blood,

And the roots of trees are its veins.

This world is like a human being in many different ways.

Like a human being it is oblivious to many of its surroundings.

Whether it doesn't know when it will die or when it shall have to subdue pain and anger.

Worlds are like humans, ignorant of their true existence, un-prepared and unprotected.

Though, through all this thought I ponder my own meaning.

To this world I am like an ant,

Like peasants to a noble king.

Yet everyone has a meaning, either to be famous or infamous.

Many do not understand this because of their ignorance and stupidity.

How am I sure my name is my name,

If my parents or guardians have no proof presented?

How can I say my name is this if my parents are gone and my birth records don't exist?

Does that mean I do not exist to anybody?

Yet even if my parents are alive… how can I be sure that my name was given to me by

my parents and not the doctor?

It is easy; there is almost no proof to identify the truth because the truth may not exist.

Though, I am not sure of this because I have no proof.

How do we know this world is named the name we all call it?

Like everything else, I do not know because there is nothing that can state this world's

name because it is only an opinion and hear-say.

Science can not discover everything.

It is only up to the mind of the person who wishes to figure it out.

This is because they search for the truth that may not exist.

I walk upon the white snow and ponder all of this.

The answer can only be a question that has to be answered.

Is this reality or an illusion?
