A REASON FOR GOING ON
CHAPTER 1
THE DAY EVERTHING CHANGED

A 15-year-old boy, who had long Blue hair was sleeping soundly in his bed. His Aunt had come in to wake him up, when the boy did not wake immediately she poured water over and awoke with a shock. He got up and dressed he ate his breakfast and hurried out the door. He was wearing a black school uniform and had a strong build in a body of about 5’9. He had dark yellow eyes, which looked very unusually cool. As he came to a corner three boys started chasing him. He ran away from them very fast. The boy panted heavily and eventually arrived at Masi High School. He made his way inside the huge school, which was about three stories high. The boy ran through the halls with loud footsteps. "Ryoko, you shouldn’t run through the halls you know." yelled a young girl’s voice. He turned to see who it was. It turned out to be a young girl age 14, she looked 5’6, the girl had her long blue hair down to here back, and she had brown eyes, and was very beautiful. "Ami!?!?... I'm sorry, but I can’t talk know I am being chased by the biggest bully’s in school. Seto’s gang followed me all the way to school." Ryoko said. She laughed and ran with him. "Don't worry I’m sure they can’t catch you. I'm just glad you're okay, now let's get to class before Mr. Takanawa catches us for being late.” said Ami. Ryoko together they went to class. They arrived at their classroom all the students were already at their desk. "I see you two have decided to come to class on time today" said a tall wild looking man with medium length green hair. "Sorry Mr. Takanawa, but I was waiting for Ryoko to get here." said Ami. They took their seats and began class. Ryoko sat next a boy with short red hair. "Dude did they catch you?” asked the boy. “No they were no match for my lightening fast speed.” Ryoko replied. He then said “Hiroku have you seen the way Mr. Takanawa has keeps his hair lately?” Hiroku then replied, “I don’t care. I think he is gay anyways.” “MR. MASAKI and MR. IKARI IS THERE SOMETHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH THE REST OF THE CLASS!!!!” They looked up and quickly replied “No.” “Good then now let’s start of with a few new algebra problems that you both can solve.” A black haired boy then laughed and said “You guys are going to be here all day for a detention when you can’t solve that problem.” “And you can join them in that detention as well Auron.” The boys laughed at each other and went to work on their problems. “Hey Auron, you might want to bring your civics book to class next time cause I can’t help you again.” Ryoko said. “I know that.” Auron snapped. “I’m smarter than you anyways.” “No you're not." the other two said. “Hey guys wanna come over to my house and play dungeons and dragons,” the little Blonde boy who sat next to Auron asked. “No, you know Takato it’s not a good idea to play those geeky games anymore” Hiroku taunted. Takato obviously feeling very sad at this statement looked down at his paper. “You know he’s right Takato” Ryoko told him. “Uh, you can come over to my house to play DDR” Auron said. “That’s okay I have to stay home today,” Takato said. “Dude I am surprised a fat butt hole like you can play DDR.” Hiroku joked. “Shut up retard,” Auron joked back. The bell rang for lunch and the class ran out like wolves. All of the lines were long, but the five of them waited patiently to receive their meals. When they where finally out of line they made there way to a table where two boys, one with short black hair and glasses and the other who had medium length untamed red hair and yellow eyes. "Hey what's up Mori and Takato," shouted Rysuke. Takato, the boy with blonde hair answered, "Besides the fact that ever since we beat every game in existence I've been extremely bored...I've been okay". Mori was eating a bag of chips while he read a book as if he hadn't heard the others arrive. "Why are you always so quiet!" shouted Rysuke. Mori looked up from his book and looked at Rysuke then went back to reading. Rysuke stared blankly at Mori. "Just leave him be Rysuke," said Auron calmly. "Are you going to eat your cookie?" Auron asked Ami. “No." was all she said and she handed him the cookie. "Dude to you realize that we all sit together at lunch at this same table everyday and nobody tries to sit here I wonder why." Hiroku told Auron. Lunch ended an hour later and all of the students returned to class. Mr. Takanawa droned on and on about physics civics, and the fine arts of old Japan. The day finally ended at 6 and the four headed home together. “I know you guys weren't about to leave with out me,” yelled a young girl about 14, she was about 5'2, the girl had her long red hair in a ponytail. “Especially you Auron." They replied with "We're very sorry Aori, but with you in a different class and having a different teacher it is hard to keep up with knowing if you are here or not." “That’s okay guys, well let's get going I want to be out of that forest before nightfall." They turned and head for the forest again. “Hey anyone wanna play Dead or Alive 4?” Ryoko asked. “I know you didn’t think you’d be able to get from us without running into us again did you Ryoko.” Ryoko stopped and turned to see a black-headed boy wearing a torn up red school uniform. “Hello Seto.” Ryoko replied unfazed. He turned to leave with is his friends. “Don’t walk away from me you blubbering fool.” “Gen, Toko seize him. At this time to big black-headed twins seized both of Ryoko’s arms. Ryoko retaliated by kicking them both in the shins, which caused them to fall on the floor writhing in pain. Ryoko then took off with his friends before anything else could happen. “You won’t escape me Ryoko.” Seto called after him. “That was awesome,” they told him as he ran up to him. “Let’s just go home now,” he said. They headed for the “Dark Forest" as all the superstitious people called it. “I really don’t like that forest, but it’s the only way to get home” Aori said holding on tightly to Auron’s arm. Don’t worry I’m here” He told her and she loosened her grip seeing his discomfort. As they stepped inside an old man popped up out of nowhere and scared the crap out them. He told them in a scruffy voice “Beware of the Black Dragon beware of the Black Dragon!!!!" and he strode away looking more confused then the five teens. “Crazy old bat!!" Hiroku called after the man. “Hiroku, that's not very nice you know." Ami and Aori said angrily. “Don’t make me hurt you guy's..." he replied. “I’m just kidding you guys knows I loves you." Everyone laughed and walked on. They hadn’t noticed that the forest around them was changing. All of a sudden they were being sucked into a different dimension. “What the hell is happening to us?” they all said. They finally stopped in front of a Giant black dragon with silver wings. "Welcome to my forest" it said. “It is the forest of Hope Dreams and Destiny. My name is Canti the black dragon who guards the forest and the 4 civilizations beyond it.” “The forest of hope dreams and Destiny…” Ryoko repeated looking very confused. Little did he know that his friends had vanished to go through their own little conference with the dragon. None of the others could see anything but the forest and the dragon.
