Chapter one unfortunate news

I have been fighting ever since I was 9 years old jace thought to him as he was resting under a large tree. He then looked down at his sword and sad to it "me and you have been through a few battles in the past haven't we" he talked to it like it would talk back at him. For one reason the sword was the only thing he had in his 6 years of traveling until he met GM (grease monkey) who was his first person he could calmly talk to ever since he left his home town with his fathers sword. His father was killed in a great war that started 20 years ago and finally ended unfortunately the other side won. Jace father was a great warrior and his sword holds a certain present that eases jace's soul, which is probably why he carries it with him even though it is very old, and can't cut through much anymore.

GM is also a great fighter who even though jace is stronger than looks up to for all support. He meet GM about 2 years ago when he was when he was 14 years after he left his home town where his mother died by the birth of jace. After 6 years of living with his father he lived with his grandfather why jace's father meet his doom. Jace would probably still be there if his grand father didn't go to the same war where his father died.

"Jace!!!" Yelled a man wearing what looks like very strong armor and a mask that hides his face. "What is it GM" says jace with no concern "it is about your home town" GM yelled as he ran across a large field "what" jace yelled now very concerned "it has been destroyed many people have died" jace looked at GM for only a second then took of running in the direction of his hometown.

He ran for 3 days strait about 100 miles when he got there barely with any breath left close to death he past out when he awoke he looked and saw the ashes of houses that were burned not by accident but pillaged. He looked and saw the dead bodies of people he have known for many years. "is..is..th..Th..is that you jace" he immediately uncovered a old women form a pile of wood. The woman was fairly old and covered in ashes and looked like she was on the last few minutes of her life. "They took her and killed everyone they took her jace they took her" she repeatedly said jace ran to her side and tried his best to ease her pain " they took Stephanie and killed everyone else" she said once more "do you know which way they went" said jace with a look of great anger in his eyes "they went" she lift up her right hand with all she had left and pointed east "they went east" she said. Jace kissed the women on her forehead and stayed with her until she passed away.

After he cried for a few moments he got up with his sword in his left hand and took off heading east but he stopped after a few steps and left a mark pointing east in hopes that GM would come behind him. He then continued to run east. Towards where the old lady said he ran for not to long before he got to what to him looked like a large river. Jace bent down to drank some water when he put it to his lips he immediately spit out. Because of the bitter taste of f salt he suddenly realized that it was the ocean. He stood there staring at the waves for a few then looked down at tire marks in the sand that led to the water. Now he knew that the people who destroyed his hometown were driving amphibian cars. He then reached down to his waist were there was a small bag he untied it from his belt and took out shoes with what look like had mini jets on the soul of the shoes. He then dropped to the sand and took off the shoes he was originally wearing and put on the strange looking shoes. As he got to his feat he started thinking about his life before he left his hometown and his best friend Stephanie. (FlashBack) what does the ocean look like jace" Stephanie said with a curios look "I don't know never been there" jace said. "Well are you ever going to go," she said "I have no real reason to go " jace said as he laid down on soft grass and closed his eyes

"Well you promised you would always be there for me and I'm going to go when I'm older and if you don't come to protect me then you will be breaking a promise and you said that's something you can never do" she immediately got up and stuck her tongue out at him with the point she proved.

Jace started to get a grin in his face and then broke out in laughter the look on Stephanie's face went from a big grin to a very mad look. She stomped off why jace continued to laugh. A few moments later something hit his head he thought an apple fell on his head from the tree he was under and looked down at the ground to find no apple but a rock he looked up to see Stephanie snickering across the field. Jace just lay there smiling.

"Stephanie made a promise to protect you and I don't break promises" he took his eyes off the waves from the ocean with a look of great anger in his face. "I'm coming" he yelled as he pressed a button on the side of his jet shoes a burst of flames cam from them and he flew off heading east " I'm coming please be there Stephanie!!!!!"
