[two teens look at a sign]
Jimmy: Cool, the regional Alchemy tournament is in town.
Coty: Are you thinking about entering.
Jimmy: No, I am entering.
Coty: Me too, let's see if my wind alchemy can win first place.
Jimmy: You'll have to beat me first.
Coty: That'll be easy cause I'm changing my alchemy to earth.
Jimmy: So you're going to ground me out, huh?
Coty: Not try I will.
[person walks over]
Person: Which one of you is the Lightning alchmist.
Jimmy: I am, and who are you?
Person: I'm Hakaru a wood shape-shifter alchemist.
Coty: You, you're a member of that street gang the alcuads.
Hakaru: Correct, and I'm here on business so sit back and shut up. Listen Jimmy my boss has seen you battle and wants you to join.
Jimmy: Not happening.
Hakaru: I figured you would say that. You need some convincing, battle tonight in Cedar Forest. Until then take this. [picks up a stick]
Jimmy: Huh?
Hakaru: Shapeshift to knife [he throws it at Jimmy]
Jimmy: Ah! [Ducks the knife hits the sign].
Coty: What the...
Jimmy: Where did he go.
[another person approaches]
Coty: Hey, Justin. Long time no see.
Justin: Who was that?
Jimmy: A member of the Alcuads. Wants me to join.
Justin: I seen the whole thing. Jimmy are you still a lightning alchemist.
Jimmy: Of course nothing better.
Justin: Then you're in trouble, I believe.
Jimmy: How so?
Justin: Well that person-
Jimmy: Hakaru.
Justin: Hakaru uses wood and wood is very resistant against electricty.
Jimmy: Your point is...
Justin: Ugh, your hopeless. He can make a big shield of wood and stop your attacks dead.
Coty: Uh oh.
Jimmy/Justin: What?!
Coty: He already has one.
Jimmy: What?
Coty: The forest.
Jimmy: Duh, of course. Listen I'll talk to y'all later.
[Jimmy goes home]
[later that evening]
Jimmy: Lightning Strike transmute!! [claps hands] [the table is hit with a bolt of lightning that sends it across the room] Hu hu [breathing hard]
[Justin walks in]
Justin: (He's been practicing all this time) Hey Jimmy.
Jimmy: Oh hey.
Justin: It's almost time, you ready?
Jimmy: Yeah, let's go.
[later at Cedar Forest]
Coty: There you are.
Justin: Listen Jimmy your best bet is to use your alchemy as a shield and get in close with your close range lightning attacks.
Jimmy: Gothcha.
[Hakaru walks in]
Hakaru: Ready to change your mind.
Jimmy: Nope, never, but it's time I turn you into firewood.
Hakaru: "Sure" Battle Start 1000 hp
Justin: Strike fast.
Jimmy: Lightning Strike transmute!![A bolt of lightning flies at Hakaru]
Hakaru: Na un transmute wooden tank!! [claps his hands on the tree]
Coty: Oh no he made a tank of wood and Jimmy's attack bounced right off it.
Hakaru: Can't you see you can't beat me give up and join us.
Jimmy: Stop your yapping and get ready. [claps hands] Transmute lightning sword and shield.
Hakaru: Ha, what's that supposed to do?
[Jimmy charges at the tank]
Jimmy: Ahh!! [Jumps in the air]
Hakaru: Fire wooden cannon ball!
[As Jimmys' shield is hit he throws the sword at Hakaru]
Jimmy: Ahh! [Falls and hits the ground] 450 hp
Hakaru: Ow!500 hp (This kid is good he took a hit just to hit me). Now lose.
Coty: Oh no get up Jimmy he's coming.
Hakaru: I don't want you anymore, I want your gloves, your powers. Fire tank!
Justin: Oh no
Jimmy: Ah! [rolls out of the way] (Think Jimmy think).
Hakaru: Aww, I missed. I want those gloves and I'll destroy you for them.
Coty: This is getting out of hand.
Hakaru: Fire, fre, fire!!
Jimmy: (He's gone mad) [Jimmy is up and running with shots from the tank narrowly missing him].
Coty: Get him.
Jimmy: (I see it!!)
Hakaru: This ends tank self-destruct!!
Jimmy: Transmute Final Strike!! [claps hands]
Coty: Hold on!!
[A blinding light hits the forest.]
Hakaru: Ugh. [laying on the ground] 0 hp
Jimmy: Whew [standing up] 100 hp
Coty: You won!
Justin: But how?
Jimmy: Simple for the explosion I got luckey and landed in the ditch after being hit with the initial force.
Coty: And how did you hit him.
Justin: A delay attack.
Jimmy: Bingo, he never seen it coming. I fired it behind my special final strike. He blocked my final strike but never seen the other one.
Coty: Of course. [A teen girl with red hair jumps down out of a tree]
Girl: I'm dissapointed in you Hakaru.
Hakaru: I'm sorry, I'm sory, he tricks me.
Girl: No excuses you should have seen it coming.
Coty: She's a girl
Jimmy: Really I couldn't tell.
Coty: She's a short girl.
Jimmy: Coty, your an idiot.
Coty: What you called me?!
Jimmy: Oh now you hear me.
Justin: [laughing]
Jimmy: Hey girl, who are you?
Girl: Huh, I don't talk to amateurs.
Jimmy: What!! Let me at her!!
Girl: You lost to this moron?
Jimmy: Oh that's it me and you?
Girl: Me? Do you know who I am?
Jimmy: No, you didn't tell me.
Girl: Uhh. [rolls her eyes] I'm Shinogami the Flame Alchemist, aka Shino.
Coty: Ahh!! She's the leader of the Alcuads.
Justin: Not just that she's last year's reigning champion.
Jimmy: District, regional, state, what?
Justin: National.
Jimmy: Oh well that's still not worldwide.
Shino: You got guts challenging me. You will lose.
Jimmy: Says you
Shino: Fine then, ready.
Jimmy: Fire vs Lightning of course.
Shino: Now Hakaru you'll see how it's done. Battle start!!
