Seal of Day Saga
Part One: The Seal of Day
An Alex Night: Vampire Hunter Extrodinare Story
By: Jennifer L. Bratcher

Vampires are untrustworthy bloodsucking fiends. And Im not saying that because they
killed my parents, Im saying that because they are. Theyre a bunch of backstabbing bastards. They care for no one except themselves and thats on a good night. Vamp politics are so fucked up. I mean, theres the Circle and stuff.
The Circle, a group of vampires with different talents that rule a lot of the bloodsuckers in the world. They wear a platinum ring with a Celtic circle on it with a tiny garnet set into it. Ive killed one of their flunkies before and pawned off the ring. Theyre dangerous, but I can take them.

I also know this: you dont trust vampires, no matter how sincere or honest they sound. Its just an act. After all, vampires are the best illusionists there are, even better than the Fey.

Alex Night, Vampire Hunter Extrodinare

Alex shifted in her bus seat. She had no idea where she was going. She was just going. Hopefully there
would be a decent vamp population so she could do some damage. Her little fling at Halloween had made vampires wonder if a true vampire slayer was in their midst, and not this mysterious Angel of Death that they sometimes babble about.
She wondered who he or she was and if that they werent just a myth. Some of the greatest vampire hunters in all of history were myths, and there was that whole Buffy fiasco that had lesser vamps turning their heads in the late 90's and early 21 st century. She still chuckled when she thought about that leech she dusted in the Industrial Nightmare who was dressed up as The Slayer.
Shed run into two vampires in the past week who babbled about this Angel of Death, this vampire hunter with violet eyes. Gabriel Umbra had violet eyes, but he was half Dark Fey though. Violet was a common color for Fey eyes that and silver, gold, and green were the four most common Fey eye colors.
A Fey who was hunting vampires, well, she may have that challenge shed been wanting. Sure, she shouldnt be fighting the good guys, but maybe they could play a game involving all the vamp kills that they made. Or they could swap techniques and the like.
She sighed as she started drawing in her sketchbook. She looked up at the blurring light of the farm scape and grunted. She couldnt draw this boring mess, so she started to draw her crossbow for the hell of it.

Damn, I hate being board. Ive drawn all the old fucks on this bus, a damned farmhouse, a decrepit, or de-CRAP-it old windmill, and a partridge in a pair tree since Ive got on this fucking buss. Its gay I tell you, gay.
Finally, Im in a new town, well city. Ive never been to St. Louis before and Im looking forward to it. Ive already drawn the arch as well as some interesting skyscrapers. At least I think their interesting or Im just really that board. Whatever. Im in St. Louis, ready to kick ass and give my name.

Alex Night: Vampire Hunter

Alex changed into her body suit and boots. She pulled on a black sweater to throw over
the suit because it was fucking cold out there. Sure, she couldnt freeze to death, but she could still get cold unlike the Lupine half of her family tree. Brandon had been known to swim in sub-zero weather from time to time. Alex would freeze her ass off.
She strapped her crossbow to her back and smirked. Another night to kick some ass. She soon found herself outside of her hotel room and stalking the streets of St. Louis. Her crossbow was hidden under the huge sweater she had donned and she had attached little loops to the shoulder strap that could hold more bolts. So, she was armed for vampires.
A werewolf wouldnt give her much trouble and the Fey sort of looked down on that sort of violence.
She walked for a while, searching for the undead and finding nothing but a couple of rats in trash cans. This is so boring, she grunted as she looked down at her boots. She walked into an ally and leaned up against the brick wall. She couldnt even sense them. Nothing, nada . . .
There we go.
Alex smiled as she drew her crossbow from under her sweater. The vampire was coming closer, pretty damn fast actually. She smiled and sang, Come out, come out, wherever you are.
Falling to the ground in a graceful crouch was a slender figure, defiantly feminine. The vamp stood up and pushed wine-colored hair out of her eyes. She smirked as she ran. Alex noticed something clutched in her hand, something shiny. Alex aimed her crossbow and the vampire turned and looked at her with startling, bright, light green eyes.
I dont think so, the vampire said in a naturally deep and husky voice. Alex gripped the trigger, she had it aimed perfectly, and the vampire kicked it out of her hands like she wasnt even there.
The hell! Alex shouted as the crossbow went flying from her hands. She snapped, Okay, now you pissed me off.
The girl punched her, surprisingly quick. Alex reeled back and the vampire took off running again, her long burgundy hair streaming behind her. Come back, bitch, Alex yelled, her bravado slipping.
Alex grabbed her crossbow and opened up her senses before she began to change. She sensed coldness, staleness, death. In lamens terms, a vampire. She looked up to see six of the bastards jump down after the other vampire.
She aimed her crossbow right at them and smiled. She snapped, Hello leeches.
One of the leeches pointed at her with a long, clawed finger. He snarled, Colin, Stephan, take care of this child. Telos, Mavis, and Darius, go after our lovely thief.
The five vampires nodded and said, Yes Master. With that, three of them sprinted away as two of them came after Alex. One of them swiped at her with razor sharp talons while the other came at her with a spin kick. Alex twisted around, slamming her crossbow into the first one and then catching the other guys leg with her bow. She aimed as the first guy fell and fired.
He exploded into ash and the second one looked at her with crimson eyes under the fall of dark blond hair. He smiled and sniffed the air delicately. He said, Youre not human.
Not entirely, buddy, she replied as she fired. He dodged the bolt and appeared in front of her like magic. She thought, Fast. Old. Powerful. Oh, this is gonna be fun. She smiled wolfishly at him as he threw a punch that actually connected. It snapped her head back and she smirked at him.
He smiled back and said, Ive heard of you before. A vampire hunter with Lupine blood with black hair and blue eyes. Id thought you were a myth, girl.
Well, most people use to think that vampires were a myth, Fang Face, she replied as she aimed at him again. She fired and he caught the bolt, snapping it between his fingers. Alex gasped when she saw the wooden splinters filter to the ground.
The vampire smiled and cajoled, Give up little girl and keep hunting those lesser vampires.
Lesser vamps? she asked, knowing that she would have to be patent if she was going to get any information. It was obvious that the redheaded vamp stole something important, something even punishable by death from a sect of other leeches. If there was some giant vamp conspiracy going on, she would have to know about it. Especially if she wanted to protect humans like she promised herself on Halloween.
The vampire laughed and answered, Im better known as Colin the Blood Bather, does that open a page in your memory, little girl?
Nope, Alex replied. The name wasnt familiar so she wasnt exactly lying. She added, But let me guess, you like bathed in your victims right?
Colin smirked and replied, Yes, I did, sweetheart as I plan to bathe in yours.
Sure, whatever, Alex snorted with a toss of her hair. He laughed and smiled at her. She said, Okay, give me some more significance to this whole big thing.
He placed his hands on his hips in a proud gesture as he stated, I am a loyal follower of the Destroyer, of the Circle. If youre worth your crossbow or bloodline, then you would know what Im talking about.
How special, Alex replied as she aimed her crossbow again. She watched him as she tightened her grip on the trigger. He snarled and launched himself at her. She grunted as she unloaded the crossbow and slung her body to the side. She thrust up the bolt and drove it through his clothing and flesh strait into his heart.
He looked surprised as he crumbled into ash. Alex saw something flicker in the light. Curious, she bent down to pick up a platinum ring with a Celtic-y knot design to it. She recognized the symbol, but the garnet was missing. She slid it on the bolt as she reloaded the bow. She put the bow down and threw her head back.
Her muscles and bones screamed as they reformed themselves to take on a new shape. She felt the sweater rip off of her body as she changed. Black fur covered her changing body in a prickly rush. She threw back her head and howled with her now wolfin throat.
She grabbed her crossbow with her mouth and started to run. She smiled inwardly as she reached open ground. She expanded her senses to feel four vampires fighting near by. She picked up her pace, her legs brushing each other with a symphonic movement as she ran.
She spun to where she felt the vamps and watched. She dropped her crossbow and changed back into her human form. She flinched as she sped up the process to reform her body back into its human state. Sweat trickled down her brow as she held her crossbow at the ready.
The burgundy haired vampire caught another vampires fist, a huge biker guy with a shaved head, and slung him against the wall. She thrust her elbow back, catching the other hulking vamp behind her. He flinched as she spun around, sending a sharp kick to his lowered head. The third vampire leapt at her, pushing and pinning her to the ally wall.
She grinned as she grabbed his groin with clawed fingers. He snarled in startled pain as he let her go. He clutched at the injured area with his pale fingers and Alex watched as the vampiress slammed her palm up to his chin, smashing his head back so hard that he bit his tongue with his fangs.
She jumped out of the way to pick up a crate. She held up her knee and smashed the wood into it, making a makeshift wooden stake. Alex watched as she lunged at the guy who was holding his groin and spiting out curses from a bleeding tongue. The stake hit home and he looked down at it as he crumbled into ash. The skinhead launched at her, snarling as his eyes blazed with crimson fury. She lifted her arm up and pushed. He turned into ash all around her.
The last vampire took a stance and so did she, holding the stake to the side like a knife. He danced at her, throwing kicks and punches which she blocked with the stake. She smiled to herself as he launched a high kick. She caught it with her free hand and lifted his leg easily. He looked afraid as she moved closer, the predatory grin wide on her face as her still green eyes sparkled at him.
She said in her naturally deep voice, I told you that you wouldnt get your grimy hands on this for long. Theres no way in hell that Id let a bunch of fiends like you get this sort of power, pally. She then thrust the stake home. She turned away as the vampire turned into ash.
Alex, impressed slightly, aimed her crossbow and snapped, Well, we meet again.
So, you took out Colin and Stephan. Thanks, she said, not turning to look at Alex.
In fact, the bitch started to walk away. Alex snarled and the vampire turned to face her. She tilted her head so that her long hair cascaded over one side of her face, so that the combination of the dark red and the bright, vibrant green of her eyes was stunning. She asked, Is there something else?
Alex fired. The vampire reached out and caught the arrow about a foot before impact. Alex blinked as the other vampire inspected the bolt. She said, Your bow needs some help. The bolts projection rate is too slow.
Alex snarled again, too angry to do anything else except something really stupid. Like charge the vampire. The vampire dodged in a swirl of red hair and black clothing. She looked at Alex with those bright, light-green eyes that almost glowed in the darkness. Alex snarled and was about to go for her again when a large yellow jewel was suspended before her eyes.
Alex blinked and looked closer at the stone, which was a pendent suspended by a chain. The stone was set in what Alex suspected to be pure silver with little Celtic symbols carved all around it. The golden stone glistened like a small sun in the dark and Alex looked back at the vampire.
She stepped back and leaned her crossbow on her shoulder. She asked, Okay, Im curious, leech, what is it?
Its called the Seal of Day, the vampire answered as she slipped it onto her throat.
Alex reached out and grabbed her hand. The vampire gave her a sly look and grinned. Alex aimed her crossbow and replied, I bet you cant block at this close range.
Kill me if you want, but dont let this fall into those fuckers hands, the vampire said with a shrug.
Alex blinked, surprised. The vampire went on, Theres a reason why the Circle, mainly the Destroyer wants this artifact.
Alex was about to ask her why when she felt the presence of at least a bakers dozen of the leeches approaching. The other vampire froze and looked around. She swore, Oh, shit.
Im sensing at least thirteen, Alex said grimly. Shed only faced five at once, not that many plus this obviously skilled vampire that she was holding. She pushed the other vampire and started to look around. The vampire picked up her makeshift stake and held it like a knife in her experienced hands.
She said, This really isnt good, vampire hunter.
No shit, leech, Alex replied tartly as she took a deep breath. Hell, she wasnt ready for this. She sensed them coming closer and closer, faster and faster, their power beating down on her like a black rain.
The vampire said, Its just a trick. Theyre old, but they have their limits.
Im not scared, Alex hissed.
The vampire smiled and replied, Then why are you so jumpy?
Just itchy to kick some ass, Alex replied in a tense voice. She was jumpy and she didnt like the fact that a vampire noticed it. She usually appeared calm and steady, not like this. Maybe because Im seriously outnumbered, Alex thought ironically as thirteen shadows jumped around them.
She looked at the thirteen pairs of crimson eyes and groaned. One of them spoke in a thick voice, Bring me the Seal and kill the two youths.
The vampire smiled and held up the gem. She spun the chain around and tossed it. Alex gasped as the vampires rushed to where they thought it fell. Then she held up the gem for Alex to see and grabbed her wrist.
Come on, Wolf Girl, weve gotta book, she said with a grin. Alex was about to growl when the vampire took off, dragging Alex with her. Within moments, they were out in public view, safe for the moment.
Alex shook the vampire off of her and punched her. She snapped, I dont need a damned leechs help.
The vampire looked back at her and wiped blood off of her lip with the sleeve of the sweatshirt she was wearing. In the streetlight, Alex got a better look at her. The girl was beautiful, as all vampires were, but this was more of an exotic beauty with those green eyes and red hair. Her face was angular, not to Alexs extreme, but not round and baby doll like. She was almost as tall as Alex, but her body was curvy, more attractive. She was dressed in a simple black sweat shirt and jeans. Her combat boots were scuffed and stylishly tattered.
Well, you dont want those damned leeches getting their fucking hands on that thing, she snapped back.
Alex growled, Why is it so damned important, vamp? Do you wanna tell me that?
Yeah, fine, the Seal of Day, created by a Dark Druid to give a coven of vampires the ability to walk out into the day light, she answered sharply.
Alex hissed, Then maybe I should take it from you.
It needs a ritual to charge the thing, you idiot, she replied grimly.
Alex froze and asked, What kind of ritual?
One involving virgin blood of someone whos not entirely human and then you just stumble in with your crossbow, Wolf Girl, she grumbled.
What the hell does that mean? she snapped at the vampire.
The vampire pushed her hair from her face and tucked it behind her ears. She replied, It means that Ive gotta keep this, she held out the Seal, and you away from each other as well as the vampires. Shit, thanks, Wolf Girl.
Alex grabbed her and lifted her off the ground. She snarled, My name is Alex Night, bitch, not Wolf Girl.
Oh, shit, this is just getting better and better, the vampire girl groaned again, acting like the disgruntled teenager she appeared to be and not a vampire being held up by a Lupine vampire hunter. She sighed and looked down at Alex. She asked, Would you put me down?
How about I stake you? Alex hissed.
She smiled and asked, What about if I scream for help? You may be stronger than me, but I can put a double-whammy on a humans mind before you can howl to the full moon.
Alex dropped her. She did have a point and there was the whole fact that there was people walking around, people ignoring her. Shit, shed put up a glamor and Alex hadnt noticed it. Vampires were the perfect illusionists though.
Alex did hear her words about the pendent and keeping her away from it. Alex asked, What do you mean keeping me away from that?
Youre a virgin, Alex Night and half Lupine. That would be enough to charge the whole Circle and all of its members, she replied as she turned away, And theyll use you simply because youre a vampire hunter.
Alex smirked and stated, They could try.
The vampire sighed as she studied the pendent. She looked back at Alex and snapped, Do you know anything about the Circle?
A group of omni powerful vampires that have ties throughout the vampire and supernatural community. Really powerful, really scary, blah, blah, yadda, yadda, on and on, excidera, Alex drawled with a yawn.
The vampire sighed and said, Whatever. Ive gotta book. She turned away and stepped to the curb. She raised up a slender arm and flagged down a taxi. Alex heard her grumble, Why should I care anyway? Im just trying to help and the bitch has to bite my head off. There goes my nice deed for the day.
Alex knew that the words were directed at her. She crossed her arms and snapped, Like Id really believe that a vampire would do something nice.
The redhead ignored her as she stepped into the cab. Alex stood there, shouldering her crossbow. Soon as the redhead vamp drove away, several pairs of eyes were locked on her and her crossbow in fear. She shrugged and began to walk away. There were plenty of vampires for her to hunt.

Just lovely. Theres this whole vampire conspiracy thats going to grant a kiss of heavily powerful vampires the ability to walk in the daylight. And the only thing I know about it is that theres gem that needs the super charged blood of a not-so-human virgin (thatll be me, joy) to grant them that power. The worse part of it is that the only person who knows all the details is a vampire.
Im about to do the unthinkable, Im gonna join up with a vampire just to make sure that this doesnt fall through. After were done though, the bitch is dead. After all, Im a vampire hunter, its what I do.

Alex Night, Vampire Hunter Extrodinare

Alex walked out of the 7-11 with a bottle of Dr. Pepper in one hand and a Butterfinger in another. Shed managed to kill two other vampires in the last hour and she was getting kind of hungry. And shed run out of crossbow bolts. So, she went back to her hotel, picked up another huge, if disposable flannel shirt to put over her crossbow, a good supply of bolts, and some cash to buy munchies.
Lupines, as a rule, ate a lot because of their higher metabolisms. It took a lot of energy to shift, and Alex tended to shift a lot. Werewolves, on the other hand, ate flesh and blood to give them their dark power. They hunted and were, for the most part, evil. Then there was the fact that they gave themselves up to the vampires as servants.
Brandon hated werewolves. Alex didnt care either way. After all, the werewolf was the Lupines darker brother and they were created from werewolves. Maybe that drove Brandons hatred. She shrugged as she threw her soon eaten candy bar wrapper in the trash and chugged her Dr. Pepper. It too soon joined its partner in the trash. She licked her lips to wash away the last trace of almond and chocolate flavor away.
Maybe I should find more out about this Seal of Day, Alex thought as she looked around. She wandered around St. Louis, studying the nightlife both literal and figural. She looked at a street corner under a big pink neon sign where a succubus stood, selling her wears to feed her own need.
Incubi and sucubi held ties to almost all supernatural races. Hell, there was even the infamous incubus and Dark Faerie crosses of a century ago, creating what those called Shadows. Fay were immune to most magics, except their own, but with the incubus blood it gave them immunity to all magic. Spells didnt work on the Shadows, only physical force, but Shadows were supernaturally strong and fast.
She walked over to the succubus, who assumed the guise of a tall, leggy brunette. Her long, chestnut brown hair was streaked with copper and golden highlights and her figure was that of Pam Anderson post-op. She turned her color changing eyes to Alex and looked her over.
Her eyes shifted from green to violet as she said in a thick southern draw, Honey, no matter how much money ya offer me, youre not ma usual type of clientele.
Screw that, I want information, Alex replied as she crossed her arms and sent her best glare.
The succubus giggled and asked, About wha honay?
Alex grabbed the front of the succubus halter top and yanked her to her. She snapped, Stop the drawl and well talk.
The succubus eyes shifted from aqua to brown in surprise as she looked Alex over. She said in an accent less voice, Youre not exactly human, are you?
Names Alex, Alex Night, Alex replied in a careless tone, sounding very much like James Bond.
Ah, member of the Lupine High House, so whats a nice princess like you doing in a place like this? Wouldnt your grandfather have a fit if he found out about you? the succubus asked her.
Alex lifted her blue eyes to the succubus. She blinked as her own eyes shifted from grey to that same bright, intense blue. She whistled and said, Youre part human.
Half, so anyway, since we made that clear that Im not anyone really special, I have some questions, Alex told her.
The succubus smiled and looked down at Alexs pale hand still holding her. Alex shrugged and released the woman. She pushed strands of her chestnut hair behind her ears and replied, Ask away, Alex.
First, one of the Circle members is in town, could you tell me anything about that? Alex asked.
The succubus shrugged and tossed her hair. She answered, The Destroyer and his groupies. Nasty bastards.
The Destroyer? Alex asked.
The succubus nodded and answered, Yes, all of the Circle hold titles like the Destroyer, the Hunter, the Scourge, the Innocent, the Scholar, and so on. Whenever one of the titled is bumped off, they find a replacement immediately.
Alex asked, What does this son of a bitch want?
Some artifact, nasty news for the humans. Weve got it easy in the fact that we dont have to hide and a bunch of leeches is going to ruin it, the succubus complained.
Alex crossed her arms and asked, Do you know anything else?
The succubus shook her head and answered, No, but I know someone else who does.
Who? Alex asked, curious.
The succubus picked up her southern accent again as she purred, Well a lill brother of mah thats at the Cat Oh Nine Tails club, shuga. His name is Sasha.
Thanks, Alex told her as she dug out a five-dollar bill from her flannel shirt pocket. The succubus lifted an eyebrow and smirked. Alex shrugged and said, Hey, vamp hunting really doesnt pay.
Then mayhap that ya should become a Hunter, the succubus purred at her.
Alex shook her head and started to walk away. She called back, No thanks, theyre tied down by the law too, and besides, my cousin would think Im copying him.

Ive never been into a gay bar before. I was shocked as hell when I found out that I was going to be surrounded by a bunch of fags. Really scary. And some of them are dressed in drag so convecting that they look more like a female than I do. Thats really scary.
I think this is the bravest thing Im doing right now, going into a bar filled with horny, gay men. I cant help but wonder why an incubus is in here. For the most part, the supernatural looks down on homosexuality, especially the Fey and Lupine. They dont consider it natural, but hey, everyone to their own, right?

Alex Night, Vampire Hunter Extrodinare

Alex walked into the bar, listening to the old song, Its Raining Men, and looked
around. It was all too good, the song, the Drag Queen singing on stage, and the barrel full of wrapped condoms at the door. She chuckled as all eyes strayed to her and she was surprised when a few of the older, middle-aged men with balding heads and pony tails gave her appreciative looks.
Oh, cripes, they think Im a guy, Alex thought with a chuckle. She was about to tell them wrong when a hand pulsing with energy touched her. She spun around to look right in a pair of color changing eyes that had a mysterious pull to them.
There was want, need, and sex mixed into that gaze, pulling at her, trying to drown her. She gasped and focused as the eyes changed from emerald to topaz. The incubus smiled and smoothed his hand through his beaded corn rolls. He stepped back at her and said, I doubt that even I could seduce you, sweetheart.
She looked him over. He was a couple inches taller than she was, dressed in tight black leather pants, and a black fishnet shirt that displayed his coffee mixed half way with cream skin. He had long, thick, black corn rows with brightly colored beads spilling to the middle of his back. He chuckled as he shook his head, causing the beads to clack against each other in a musical tinkle.
She asked, Are you Sasha?
Why would a young woman like you be asking? he answered in a now high-pitched and girlish voice. His hands went limp and the men around the bar were focused on him. Alex noticed that his fingernails were longer than hers and perfectly manicured.
Alex cocked her head over to a secluded corner and answered, I need information, wanna talk?
Well, what happens if I dont? he asked playfully, lightly pushing her shoulder.
She moved one of her hands in front of his groin and answered, Well, you wont be doing too much hands on feeding if you dont.
Sasha laughed and reached out to stroke a lock of Alexs hair away from her face. She smirked as she moved her hand closer. He said, Man, girly, you really know how to talk to a guy.
Alex smiled as she moved her hand away. The two walked to a secluded table where Culture Club started to play. She chuckled and said, Man, you guys have a great sense of humor.
Sasha smiled seductively at her and asked, So, Girly Girl, what do you want?
Information on the Circle, any and all. I talked to a sister of yours and she said that you had all the answers, Alex answered as she played with the bowl of peanuts on the table.
She heard a human come up behind him and she turned around. The guy standing beside her was only a little older than Alex, but he had to be at least twenty-one to buy drinks. He had a pale, feminine face, long blond hair and he was dressed in stiletto heals, white slacks and white muscle shirt, even though he lacked the muscles to wear it properly. He smiled prettily at Sasha before giving Alex a venomous look.
He moved closer to Sasha, who wrapped his arm around the humans waist. The human asked, Whos he? He gave Alex another dirty, jealous look.
Her name is Alex, she answered distinctively, glaring back. The guy gasped and moved closer into Sashas protective grace. She gave a flippant wave of her hand and assured him, Dont worry, hes not my type, but Id suggest that youd look else were for now.
Sasha loves me, he protested, kissing the incubus dark head. Sasha turned his head up so that they kissed. Alex frowned as she felt the energy pouring from the human to Sasha. When they parted, the human looked pale and spent while Sasha was brimming with energy.
Sasha patted the humans behind and suggested, Why dont you go play a song on the juxbox for us?
Any requests? the guy answered in a slurred, disoriented voice.
Alex nodded and answered, If theyve got Tool, play it. The human wandered away, leaving them alone. Alex glared and snapped, Feed in front of me again and Ill make an exception of you.
The incubus smiled as his eyes changed from green to brown. He asked, Whats wrong Miss Alex?
I hate vampires and I dont think too highly of anything else that feeds on humans, she hissed at him.
Sasha grinned at her and stated, But I dont kill when I feed, dear.
You still use humans for your own gain, to survive, she snapped.
Sasha smiled and told her, Ive had brothers and sisters whove used Fey and Lupines before.
I doubt the Lupine part, Alex snorted.
Sasha smiled again as his eyes bled from brown to golden. He stated, Well, youre an Alpha, Girly Girl, you can resist a lot. Besides, you have no real physical desires. Youre still a virgin and not because of some high morals, because you have this mission your sending yourself on. I bet if you found the right man or woman youd go willingly.
Lupines dont fuck the same sex and I thought that went for incubi too, she sneered at him.
Sasha grinned mischievously as he replied, Youre half human, Alex, and dont deny it, its written all over that pretty face of yours. And those beautiful blue eyes. And humans do. As for me, sweetheart, I just want a change of pace. I mean, I can only look at so many women for eternity.
Why gay men though? Alex asked, genuinely wanting to know.
He smiled again as he answered, Because theyre so needy, thats why. I can use them to the point of death and they thank me for it, but I dont, so dont threaten me again, Girly Girl.
And dont call me Girly Girl. My names Alex, asshole, she hissed.
He looked at her and stated, Well, Alex, what do you want to know about the Circle?
The guy whos here, whom he, what does he want, how bad is he, and what the hell is the Seal of Day? Alex asked.
He smiled and replied, What do I get out of it?
Well, you wont be singing a few octaves higher if you do, Alex answered, making a mental note to make good on her threat. It felt weird and out of character to make threats like this, mainly she killed and went on with it. Well, I guess I need to adapt, she thought distantly as Sasha studied her.
Sasha answered, Its the Destroyer, a nasty bastard whos real name is Kristopher. He has this nasty habit of obliterating everything he touches. He loves death and carnage too. As for his posse, a bunch of warriors and psychopaths that hes collected over the centuries.
The Seal of Day? Alex asked eagerly.
Sasha shrugged and answered, An enchanted citrine by a Dark Druid about seven hundred and twenty-six years ago. The Druid gave the gem, with the blood of a not-so human virgin, the ability to give a group of vamps the ability to walk in the sunlight. If the gem is destroyed, then the vampires with the granted power loose it.
So, how would someone go around destroying the gem? Alex asked, leaning closer to the incubus.
He smiled at her and replied, Well, it is enchanted, so normal force isnt going to cut it. Youre gonna have to hire a witch to do that. Or a Fey.
Anyone else asking about it? Say, a vampire about my height, long dark red hair, bright green eyes, hard to miss in a crowd? Alex questioned him.
He shrugged and replied, Yeah, as a matter of fact. Except she payed for the information that youre threatening for.
Well, just because Im half human doesnt mean that I act like it, Alex replied with a wintery smile.
He chuckled and told her, Well, Alex, thats all Ive got to offer.
Does the chick have a name? Alex asked, crossing her arms.
He shrugged again and answered, Not that she told me, but she did mention Forest.
The vampire assassin? Alex asked, wondering about the vampire girl.
Sasha nodded and answered, Yeah, Ive heard from the underground that Forest occasionally travels with a girl that fits her description. If shes trained by Forest . . . Well, I wouldnt want to piss her off.
No wonder she could catch arrows with ease, Alex thought as she looked at her hands. She stood up and looked Sasha over. She nodded, smiled, and told him, Thanks.
She walked out of the gay bar and back into the night. She didnt get any vocational information, but she figured that she could deal with that. After all, the redhead knew where everything was. She just needed to find the redhead again.
As she walked down the sidewalk, a small, velvet pouch landed in front of her feet. Curious, she bent down and picked it up. She pulled at the drawstring and looked down. A puff of pink dust exploded to her face.
She sneezed at the fragrant dust and threw the bag down. She waved the remaining powder away from her face and took a deep breath of cleansing air. The ground seemed unsteady at her feet, moving around in a slow circle as her vision dimmed. She pulled out her crossbow weakly as she moved around in an uneasy spin.
It felt too heavy in her hands as her vision began to dim. She was having trouble keeping on her feet as the crossbow clattered to her hands. As she wavered to the ground, several pairs of glowing crimson eyes were smiling down at her. She licked her lips and made a sloppy punch.

Then everything else faded to black.

To Be Continued!

After all of these little short stories with Alex in it, I decided that she should get her own saga.

As to the Fagubus, that was a joke. I have nothing against homosexuals personaly, infact, one of my closest friends is a gay man, thats how I knew about what the club looked like.
