David's a Sprite. A Shape Shifter, literally. Now, I've never seen him change shape, but I know that he's got magical abilities as well. I figure that he's got a lot of contacts too, since he personally knows Forest, the vampires' personal hit chick, and that he had the necklace that Amber Anderson wears enchanted with heavy wards so that no harm, at least by supernatural forces, would come to her.
Still, for the second time in less than a month, I'm finding myself liking a vampire, and not just any vampire either. Forest probably has killed more vampires in the past year than I have hunting for the past five. It's weird, and she makes money off of it while I'm leeching of Brandon whenever I can.
We also got a call from Minerva, saying that Ami has found out that her contact, an Elemental (being able to wield all four of them) named Mike Darkfall, is out of town and can't tell us if he can destroy the gem. Forest didn't think he could anyway and says that neither can David because she's already tried him a few years ago. I asked her if he's gotten more powerful since then, but she snorted and said it was during the whole Y2K thing.
Eight years is a long time to gather a lot of power I told her. She smirked at me and replied, "You're young. Eight years really isn't that long to someone who's as old as David and I are."
So, the vamp's ancient and so's the sprite. So, why the hell do I suddenly feel so insecure about myself?
PS: Brandon had my sketchbook in his SUV and kindly gave it to me before I ran after Forest. That's why I'm writing again.
Alex Night, Vampire Hunter Extrodinare
Alex finished the sketch of Forest right beside her last entry. She looked at the tall vampire one last time to see if she got everything right. She hate to admit it, but the real life Forest was prettier than her sketches. Forest wasn't angelically beautiful, like little Amber, she just had this thing about her.
Brandon had once told Alex that some things couldn't be sculpted or drawn true to life. Sometimes it was the movements or just the thing's aura that made them attractive. The thing was that Forest was a vampire, and even though she was a good guy, she wasn't exactly a girl scout. Alex wondered if people got the same feeling watching a panther or something.
You knew it was dangerous. You knew that it could kill you without a moment's thought, and yet you still thought it was beautiful. Which was part of why humans were so self-destructive Alex reasoned to herself as she clipped her pencil to the sketchbook's cover.
They pulled into Hecate's Moon, New Age Gifts, the store that David owned and ran when he was in town. Forest briefly explained that he also lived in a secret compartment in the building when he was in Louisville. She also said that they were lucky that he was here.
Alex shrugged and brushed her hair off of her face as the Camaro stopped. Forest got out and checked her gun. Alex merely stepped out as Forest said, "Lock it." Alex had half a mind to leave it unlocked, but then again she didn't want to know what would happen if someone tried to steal this car. Especialy with Forest near by.
So, she locked it. Then she caught up with Forest who was walking behind the old building. The vampire tapped one brick three times and a door appeared from no where. Alex gasped.
Forest smiled as her indigo eyes shone. She asked, "Isn't magic just amazing?"
"If it's not used against you, I would say yeah," Alex answered as they walked through the door.
Forest replied, "Oh, it's got it's uses. Still, lets get down to buissness."

David was tall, dark, and handsome. He had long, curly dark brown hair that he wore tied back with a Celtic barret, rugged features, and beautiful dark green eyes as well as the pointed Fey ears. He was also infuriatingly cryptic and annoying. He liked to tease and taunt, but then again, he was a sprite.Where do you think the Coyote the Trickster myth came from? A wayward sprite messing with Indians, Alex thought to herself as she sat down, strumming her fingers on the marble table as David and Forest talked. Surprisingly, Forest even threatened David, and from the look in her indigo eyes, Alex knew that Forest would make good on her threat, not caring that David was Fey or not.
Alex laughed as David backed away as Forest raged on, "A pack of fucking werewolves that wanted to rape me and you didn't even pay me!"
"Do you always have to bring that up?" he asked sheepishly.
Alex chuckled as Forest answered, "Well, that was over a hundred years ago and that's a lot of intrest."
David sighed, "So, you gave the gem to your boytoy, right?"
The vampire's eyes glinted red as she spun on the sprite. She drew herself up in his face, her eyes metting his as he tried to back away. "Never call Quinn that again," she snarled before her face returned to it's normal, or what Alex assumed was normal, half amused exspression, "And yes, I did."
Alex cleared her throat and asked, "So, how are you going to destroy the Seal?"
David turned his green eyes on her. She wondered if they were truely green and not some shapeshifting trick. He answered, "I don't have that kind of power, Alexandria . . ."
"Alex," she snarled, causing Forest to chuckle slightly.
David sighed, " Alex , but I know someone who does."
Alex stood up and pushed the phone on the table over to him. She snapped, "Then call them."
David grinned and slyly replied, "It won't be that easy, Alex . . ."
Forest looked at her and asked, "Are you willing to make a little trip?"
"What do you mean?" Alex asked, feeling uneasy at both David and Forest's sly grins.
David studied her body suit and motioned, "But first you might wanna get changed . . ."

"You didn't get it," a voice hissed behind her. Jennifer rolled her eyes like a normal teen as her ghouls started to hiss. Fuck you, Kristopher, fuck you, she thought, sending it out, hoping it would find the Master Vampire's mind. Instead, she was left dealing with his lackey. She spun around, looking at Barnabas. At least, that what she thought his name was. Kristopher may think that she was another faithful servant, but she worked on her own. She was her own vampire and no one else's. She worked with Kristopher because it suited her needs at this time.
Jennifer coldly replied, "I'm not finished yet."
"Please, Forest is one up on you and knows just as much as she does," Barnabas retorted, looking her over, "As if a child knew of such things."
How could someone turn such a small child? She won't be able to handle it.
They changed her for her power; they will use her.
Yes, forever stuck in the body of a child would make her easily useable.
Rage spread across the necromaning vampire in a cold, blinding wave. She rocked back and slapped him, realizing that she could do more damage while doing something much more enjoyable. She may not be able to beat him at arm wrestling, but she had other ways to do so.
She reached out with her power and twisted his dead flesh just as she had did Forest. Except, on immediate contact, he dropped to his knees and screamed, "Please, stop, I beg of you!" He reached out his trembling hand and moaned, "Mercy!"
She twisted harder, realizing that Forest was still standing, only trembling slightly, when she was using this intensity of power. Barnabas had blood falling down his cheeks from his eyes and nose. She increased the usage of her power till she had the amount that had brought Forest to her knees. Barnabas started vomiting blood.
She stopped, leaving the other vampire trembling. She didn't know anything about Barnabas except he was loyal, but she realized that Forest was stronger than she was letting on. She spun away from him on the heel of her Nikes, leaving him to gather himself up again.
Forest was just testing me then, interesting. I wonder if she was comparing me to that mortal necromancer. Then there's the Lupine half-breed. She's no matter, actually. Then there's this fool coughing up blood on my floor.
Jennifer spun around, her long hair flying in her face. She crossed her arms and frowned. The ghouls were screaming, a few of them sporting cuts spewing black ichor and a few of them headless period. " Merde ," she cursed softly in frustration as she looked around. She'd been too lost in her own thoughts to notice that Barnabas had fled, probably telling Kristopher his intentions.
Well, I'll just rethink my plan and try something other than sheer power, Jennifer reflected thoughtfully as she looked around at her crying ghouls.

"Why can't I wear my suit?" Alex asked as she pinched the leathery fabric between her fingers.David looked up at her and answered, "Because where you're going wouldn't like all the spells and magic put into it. I don't know if you realize this or not, Alex, but that suit is enchanted so that it changes with you."
"So, what does that have to do with the price of tea in China?" Alex retorted, crossing her arms and glaring, "And where the hell am I going anyway?"
David grinned as he answered, "The Wilder World."
"Huna?" Alex asked, looking at the sprite.
David smiled and explained, "There are three Tween places that Fey can travel to. First is the Shadow Realm, that's what Gabriel does. It's the realm of shadows and works best at night. Second is the Realm of Light. Its basically pure energy and only a Light Faerie can travel there. Fastest way to get anywhere on the planet, actually. Makes Shadow Walking look sluggish. Finally, there's the Wilder World, the realm of magic. All spells and magical creatures dwell there at one point or another. It's a chaotic realm while the former two are pure order."
Alex looked at him in confusion and murmured, "Huna?"
"The guy that we need to destroy the gem lives in the Wilder World, Alex. You need to get him," Forest explained.
Alex asked, "Why can't you do it? I'm not diplomatic," she cracked her knuckles and added wickedly, "But I can drag this guy back here."
"God, no. He's difficult and stubborn and isn't very friendly," David exclaimed.
Alex grinned and replied, "Sounds familiar."
Forest smirked and said, "He'll find you interesting and will agree to help because he's kinda fucked up."
Alex mused, "Still, why do I need to change? And I need my crossbow."
"No. No crossbow. He won't help us if you go to him armed. He's not a big fan of weapons and violence actually. And the magics holding the Wilder World together will attack that suit plus you do look sort of dangerous like that," David answered hastily.
Forest added, "It's not like he's a pansy or anything. He's just . . . different."
"Do you know him?" Alex asked, raising an eyebrow at the ancient vampire.
Forest nodded and pushed her hair back from her face. She answered, "I knew him, rather. Alex, we need him."
"Fine, I'll go," she grumbled as she looked at them.
David grinned and chirped, "Let's get you all prettied up!"
"The hell?" Alex snapped, looking at him in disbelief.
"Don't mind him," Forest replied, placing a hand on David's shoulder to shut him up, "He's an idiot."
Alex stood up and said, "Fine, let's get this over with."

"Do that again," Amber cheered and clapped as Chris was doing complicated slight of hand tricks. Minerva frowned as she realized that the tricks were enhanced with elfin magic. Chris grinned and picked up one of Brandon's action figures, a common enough character that even Minerva recognized it.Brandon looked over and called out, "Hey, be careful with that. It's Darth Vader."
Minerva watched as Chris ran his hand over the black action figure. He snapped his fingers and it disappeared. Minerva felt something tangle in her hair. She groaned as she untangled the figure from her hair and dangled it between two fingers. She tossed it back at Chris and chided, "Warn me the next time before a Sith Lord ends up in my hair."
"Hey, at least it wasn't Chewie," Chris replied with a grin as he picked up a robot action figure, "Imagine what a Wookie would do to your hair."
Brandon chirped, "He'll rip off your arms and beat you with it."
"Oh yes, I'm taking time out of my un-life to imagine a Wookie in my hair," Minerva groaned as she rolled her eyes, "And I'm hyper because there's going to be an anime marathon on Cartoon Network. Get a life, guys."
Why don't you change yours? An unfamiliar voice asked in her mind. She felt the power to it and frowned.
Minerva replied, What do you mean?
Please, the person you thought you could trust the most lied to you, the female's voice went on in an annoyed if slightly amused tone, She kept secrets from you. Can you trust her?
Minerva's defensive reply sounded insecure even to her, She was doing it to protect me.
She was doing it to harm you.
Forest would never do something like that.
You don't know Forest that well. She's Ancient. She's probably a very good liar by now. Why don't I show you the truth?
Why don't you tell me where the fuck you're at?
I was getting to that. Meet me at the Crestview cemetery in about an hour. All will be revealed then.
Minerva frowned as the other vampire's presence left her mind. Forest lie to her? She frowned. Forest did keep the fact that she had known who the Chosen for the Seal was and that she had been the one keeping the Seal all along. Minerva admitted that Forest could be manipulative at times to her advantage. She heard Chris, Amber, Brandon, and Ami's voices as sort of a white noise behind her.
She looked up to see Quinn actually smiling at something that Brandon had said. If she breathed, her breath would have caught in her throat at that moment. The smile was radiant, a little lopsided, and full of shy charm. Quinn's dark blue eyes never sparkled like this for her.
All because of Forest. And now Forest was fucking him, something that she swore to never do. The lying bitch , she thought as she stood up. She started to walk towards the door.
Quinn asked, "Where are you going?"
"Out," she snapped, noting that his eyes became intense yet distant toward her again.
Chris asked, "Sure that it's a good idea, Min?"
"Fuck off, Choir Boy, I can take care of myself," Minerva hissed as she opened the door, "I've just gotta get away from here."
Brandon warned, "You can't feed off of someone unwilling. That's a Death Warrant in the state of Kentucky if they report it."
Minerva's body stiffened. Vampire. Blood sucking fiend. Untrustable. That's all what they thought of her. Did she want to become a vampire? Never. Did she enjoy it? No. Did she try to deny it? Yes. She ignored him and swept out of the door.
******
It was warm, actually hot and humid was a better description. Alex held her long hair up from her sweaty neck and sighed. Still, she was glad that Forest had insisted that she should change clothing. The red tank top and jeans were more suited to the greenhouse climate than her body suit. She was already sweating enough as it was. Still, the Wilder World was something that she wished she had her sketchbook, or a camera at the very least, for.
The sky was a filled with wild, almost abstract moving swirls of blues, greys, violet, and vivid pink. Every few moments the sky would cackle with brilliant green lighting. Brilliant colored dragons flew high like circling birds of prey and they swooped down, breathing fire every few moments. Vibrant crystal mountains were on the horizon, glowing with energy. The plants were like things that Alex had only seen in fantasy paintings, wild, growing in thick tangles around her.
Despite the strange beauty of the place, she felt uncomfortable. She had no idea where she was suppose to go or whom she was looking for, other than he was quirky and had enough magical power to dwell in the Wilder World. Sighing, she stuffed her hands deep into her pockets and began to walk.
She had walked for a very long time, wanting to shead her clothing and transform to cover more ground, but David's last warning was very clear in her head.
"Whatever you do, do not transform, not even halfway. It will send you back immediately and I cannot promise that it will send you back here. "
"Dammit," she grumbled as she kicked a shining quartz crystal with her toe. She was lost, hot and beginning to lose her temper. Lupines could take sub-zero temperatures with ease but heat was another matter. Brandon had always been miserable during the summer and stuck to places with colder climates like Japan, Great Brittan on occasion, and Minnesota for most of his life. Alex, being half human, was still very sensitive to temperature when she wasn't in her wolf form.
The humidity was making the air hard to breathe and was causing her tank top to cling to her body. She groaned as she closed her eyes and rested against a tree. Why the hell did I agree to this? Alex asked herself as she heard a high, keening cry.
She felt the rush of heat and managed to dive as a jet of crimson flames burned the tree she had just been standing against. She rolled up to see an angry pair of red reptilian eyes looking at her in a fierce, horned face. Blue wings beat easily in the air, causing up drifts that blew her hair off of her face and made it hard for her to stand up.
Alex took one look at the dragon and drawled, "Fuck."
******
Forest asked, "Shouldn't we have told Alex about how to find him?""No. He'd be too suspicious and will throw her back to this world without a second glance. And Alex needs all the second glances that she can get," David answered, rolling a crystal ball in his hands. For a few moments after Alex had stepped into the portal they had seen her standing in the Wilder World, a realm filled with dangerous beauty, a world that Forest could never touch.
She was stuck on the mortal plane, trapped between life and death, but it had been a hell of a ride so far and she didn't regret it. Besides, there were others who were willing to help her when the time was called. Like David for example. They saw the same goals and banded together to accomplish them. And the head of the Dark Fey council, Umbra.
Still, she was worried about throwing Alex into the Wilder World. Alex may be half a fey creature, but she was also half human and tended to think with more of her human mind than her Lupine instincts. Brandon was clear headed and rarely impulsive, except when it came toward Amanda Wallace, but he was one of the most clear headed people that she had ever met when it came to fast decisions.
Brandon was an Alpha though. The evidence was marked in his movements, his eyes, his whole being. He put his pack's safety before his and would have done everything in his power to stop Alex from going into a situation that she didn't understand, but David was right. He'd listen to Alex before David or even herself.
Breaking the silence was the sound of her digital phone. She took it out and turned it on. "Forest," she said as way of an answer, strumming her manicured nails on the table.
Quinn's voice replied, "Minerva's gone."
Forest sat up, clutching the table in her hand, asking, "What happened?"
"She just left. Brandon thinks it's to feed, but I don't think so. She wouldn't be that obvious about it," Quinn paused, "But she seemed angry. Very pissed off and she left."
Forest asked, "Where did she go?"
"I don't know. I tried to follow her but her trail got cold. Brandon wouldn't come, staying to protect Anderson if anything happened, but the Angel of Death offered," Quinn paused again, taking a deep breath before going on, his words changing from Quinn Frost's to an ancient vampire's in the Council, "But the Angel of Death is a mere child and foolish. He wants the girl for his own."
Damn , Forest thought. Chris wanted Amber, and she couldn't fault him for it, but at this stage of the game his Fey hormones and passions could kill them all. Brandon, on the other hand, new the severity of the situation and would keep the Chosen girl safe. Still, what was the Church's Angel to her?
She knew Minerva and was Law Unto Herself if she so chose in almost all of the Councils, Courts, and even the Circle. The Angel was a mortal care, not an immortal one. He was of mixed blood as Alex was.
"I'll find her," she replied, "Stay there and watch the girl. If anything happens, have Gabriel take them some place remote and come strait back." She didn't trust the Shadow more than she could throw him, but he could do that.
Quinn whispered, "Be careful."
"You know me," she replied with a smile, the tone of the conversation suddenly changing.
Quinn's retort was a simple snort and, "Yeah, I do."
They hung up without saying good bye. They rarely said good bye. Personally because Forest didn't like them. Good byes were too final.
David asked, "Was that the dhampile? "
"Yeah," Forest replied as she checked her gun, "His name is Quinn, by the way."
"Lucky bastard."
Forest turned to look at him and asked, "What?"
David smirked and waved his hand at her. "I'm just a tool to you Forest and maybe a friend, nothing more. You are too much for the hard luck cases and the outcasts."
Forest replied by asking, "Isn't that what we are all, David?"
******
First I get transported into a world where I cannot change in and then I'm being chased by a fucking dragon. Yeah, great way to start a night, Alex thought as she leapt over a fallen tree as the hulking creature flew at her. She turned around and saw its mouth open up. She dove to the ground in time enough so that it's fire barely missed her. She rose up again, starting to run once more. She spun behind a tree, pressing her back to it as the lumbering creature sniffed her out. She grabbed the heavy bark and flexed. She grunted in pain as she slowly started to break the tree. She felt it crack under her finger tips as her muscles groaned in protest.
She took a deep breath and turned to push on the tree as the dragon waddled past. She pushed with everything she had. The tree groaned as it broke, falling right on top of the dragon. The reptilian creature bellowed in rage and blew fire as Alex started to run again.
She ran using her senses, jumping over fallen logs and pushing through dense foliage till she found a clearing. Unfortunately, the clearing was the ledge of a cliff. She heard the dragon roar as it ran toward her. She looked down at the ledge and up at the dragon.
"Aw, what the hell?" she snorted as she jumped.
******
It hurt. She slowly rose up, flinching at something making tiny cuts in her arms. She kept her eyes closed, protecting them, as she tried to move through whatever was holding her. She stood up and shook what felt like needles and leaves holding onto her. She opened her eyes to see that she was covered in tiny cuts from what looked like rose thorns.Blood welled up and Alex frowned, wondering why the cuts weren't healing like they should be. Then she felt it. Rather, she did not feel it. Usually she felt the wind currents on her skin and would have been able to smell the blood easily but all she smelled was flowers and nothing else. She closed her eyes and tried to change, just to make sure.
Nothing.
Her eyes flew open as she looked around, feeling human and useless.
I can't change. I can't change. I'm human. I can't change, she thought as she panicked, looking around.
Her breath caught in her throat. If she thought the Wilder World was beautiful, this made it pale in comparison. It was a rose garden, but it was so much more than that.
The roses were every color, black, blue, violet, red, pink, white, yellow, orange, and every shade in between. They rose up on thick green brambles but instead of the thorns being a red-veined green, they were solid black, as if someone had dipped them into Indian Ink.
The roses were so unreal that Alex had to touch one just to make sure. She felt the velvety petals over her fingers and sighed as she gently ran her fingers over a blue rose. She stepped back, just looking at the wild rose garden and noting the crystal fountain in the center of the flowers.
She felt the warm wind play at her hair and she looked at the blazing flowers, wishing for her sketchbook and a box of Prismacolor pencils. Except her vision wasn't as keen as before. She was losing her powers. She looked down at the bloody cuts and scrapes on her body. They should have healed by now, but they were trickling blood in crimson rivulets.
"Now, what is a beautiful girl doing in my garden?" a male voice asked behind her.
Alex froze and spun around, worried that she hadn't sensed the person coming behind her. He smiled and held up his hands in a friendly gesture. He was tall, dark and handsome as the cliche went. He was dressed in a simple pair of blue jeans, a pair of hiking boots, and a purple T-shirt that showed off his muscular arms.
He had black hair that was stylishly mussed and he was wearing a pair of Raybands so Alex couldn't see what color his eyes were. His face was beautiful, all high cheekbones and a graceful nose with a wide, mobile mouth that smiled up at her. He looked her over and a worried frown passed over his beautiful face as he noticed all of her cuts and scrapes. She noted that he didn't have pointed ears, but she couldn't sense anything right now, so she had no idea what she was dealing with.
He frowned and said, "You're hurt."
"I sort of ran into a big dragon that tried to eat me. I ended up here," Alex explained as he moved closer. Her heart pounded in fear due to the fact if all of her senses were human and she couldn't change, then she didn't have her strength either. Oh, God, I don't know how mortals do this, she thought wildly as she thought about bolting.
He looked her over and smiled gently. He said, "I won't hurt you. I don't get many visitors especially ones who are as lovely as you are."
"Man, you really don't get out, do you?" she asked, looking him over and frowning.
He laughed, a pleasant, lilting sound as his smile turned devilishly charming and lopsided, "I'm Aaron and you're pretty torn up though."
"I've had worse, and I'm Alex," Alex replied, placing one hand on her hip.
Aaron smiled and asked, "So, what are you doing here?"
"Looking for someone," she answered, "And I really don't know who and I'd just really like to find this fucker and get back home."
Aaron smirked as he leaned close to her. She didn't back up, but she did bend back, not liking this invasion of space. He whispered, "I think you found him, Alexandria Night." Then he moved away and started to walk.
Alex grabbed his arm and asked, "How the fuck did you know my name?"
"Your own head, and don't worry, your secrets are your own, but what do you need help with?" he asked as he continued to walk, taking her with her.
Alex frowned and answered, "The Seal of Day."

Minerva didn't like graveyards as a rule. She scaled the iron fence with ease, her expensive boots hitting the soft ground. She felt the wind rush through her hair and a sudden influx of dark power. The power of the dead.
A necromancer.
Minerva froze, wrapping her jacket around herself. She wasn't cold; she hadn't been cold for a long time, at least not physically, no, this was more of an internal cold. A chill brought on by fear.
"Don't be afraid," a young female voice called out, like the one she had heard in her head just hours ago.
Minerva drew out her .45 and replied, "Me, scared? You've got me confused with someone else."
"Betrayed, angry, that's what you are. Forever stuck in the body of a child," the voice went on, coming from another direction. Minerva turned toward it, her gun pointed as it went on, "I know what pain you're going though, Minerva Celestine."
Minerva lowered her pistol and frowned. The vampire standing there couldn't be older than fourteen when she was turned. She was short, elfin, her long light chestnut brown hair flying all around her, with glowing silver eyes.
The Mark of the Necromancer, silver eyes, just like Aurora Winters.
The necromancer vampiress grinned and asked, "Now, did you want to become a vampire?"
Minerva's mind flashed at that crucial moment in the 60's. Cream playing in the background. Fangs tearing at her throat. Rough hands groping. The bitter, cold, copper tasting liquid going down her throat. The desperation she felt as everything faded into darkness only to wake up starved, inhuman and dazed.
She whispered, "No."
"Neither did I," the other vampire replied, jumping off of the tombstone she was standing on.
Minerva mentally shook herself. She asked, "So, who the hell are you?"
"My name's Jennifer and don't you just hate the fact that Forest, someone you thought as a mother figure, is fucking the guy that you're in love with," Jennifer answered, stuffing her hands into her pockets, "Plus there's the fact that she kept the fact that the Seal of Day was actually in her hands and there was no way that the Destroyer was going to get it. Come on, Minerva, do you think that a real mom would do something like that?"
Minerva bit her lip and tried not to let Jennifer's words get to her. She didn't want to admit that she had been thinking the same thing not too long ago. Instead, she tried for bravado and replied, "Forest is Forest. Who she wants to screw is her business."
Jennifer chuckled, "Cute. Still, where is she? She took the half-breed, didn't she?"
"Alex?" Minerva looked up at the other girl.
Jennifer grinned, her silver eyes sparkling as she answered, "Yeah. Alex didn't even know where she was going. Could be dead by now. Anyway, that's not what I wanted to talk about. How would you like to be able to walk in the sunlight?"
Secretly, Minerva missed it. After all, she was a flower child, but after turning, she tried to abandon humanity but live on the fringe of it. It didn't work. Still, she didn't believe she deserved the sun. She was cursed.
Jennifer went on, "Forget your morals and listen to your heart, Minerva. Tell me what you want."
"Yeah, I do," Minerva whispered, tightening her fists.
Jennifer grinned and asked, "Would you be willing to betray Forest?"
"I don't wanna fuck with her. She could kill me without breaking a sweat," Minerva answered, knowing her teacher, lethality.
Jennifer pleaded, "Oh, geeze, Forest is a bitch. You know what I am. If it makes you feel any better, we won't kill her."
Minerva sensed the truth to her words. She looked up at the vampire and answered, "Yes."
Jennifer smiled, pleased with this turn of events, "Good. You just need to make a phone call."
