the sound echoed throughout the small room. Angry cursing was heard just after, coming
from a small, green eyed elf who had just dropped a silver tray.

This elf didn't seem top fit in the grand room, seeing as how she was wearing a skintight
black leather bodysuit, and was in a room decorated in lace and velvet. Her long brown
hair was tied back from her face with a thin leather strip, black of course, and she wore
masculine black army type boots. On her slightly pointed face, in the middle of her
forehead, was a tattoo of a crescent moon slightly covered with a cloud. Her long, pointed
ears stuck out from her hair and dangling from them were silver chains and hoops.

She was, of course, a thief. This room belonged to a mansion, the second biggest on the
street. She didn't do this because she needed the money, far from it in fact. She owned
the biggest on the street. She merely did it because she was bored and hated her
neighbors.

She listened for several minutes to the silence, making sure no one had heard her. When
no one came, she quickly picked up the tray and walked out of the room. Through the door.
She never was one for using windows or sneaking around like most thieves, which was probably
why she hadn't been caught yet. The only reason she wore black was that she really liked
it. She thought it was a kick-ass color, and fit with her favorite time of the day: night.
She walked gently down the hall and through the front door. She pet the guard dogs on the
way out. "Hey Rayed, Beshet. Thanks for watching my horse." She smiled fondly at the
black horse in front of her. "Hey Sid." The horse shook his firey mane and looked at her
as if to say "finally!"

<<It's about time!>> the horse stated, through mind link.

"Yeah, yeah. Don't get your tail in a twist. I went as quick as I could."

<<Well, it wasn't fast enough. I was getting bored out here! I almost went home.>>

"Maybe, but you wouldn't have gotten fed tonight"

The horse gave her an "I'm sorry" look, and stood still as she mounted up. Of course, the
horse being who he was, just as she got seated, he reared. However, she was used to this
and held on to the mischievious animal.

"You're getting slow Sid."

<<You're getting fat Al>>

"Who's there?" A female's voice asked.

"Crap! The neighbors are back! Run, Sid!!"

He did an about face and ran for the gate, going as fast as his legs could go. This was
actually very fast, seeing as how he was really more than just a horse. In fact, his father
was a pegasus and his mother was a witches familiar. Al's mother's familiar, to be exact.
He practically flew out of the gate, though his wings were safely tucked in their protective
"case"

He galloped down the road and into the gate of the huge green house at the end of the street.
He didn't stop until he was in the "stables". Of course, the stables were actually a small house made
horse accessible. It was nicer than some people's homes. He ground to a halt and breathed hard as
Almetrious got off his back.

<<Al, that one was REALLY close. Next time, you really need to pay attention to your surroundings!>>

"Oh yeah! Who's the animal here? Who's supposed to be able to smell anything? Who's supposed
to watch my back? You are!"

<<Well at least I'm not a thief who can't even sense the approach of strangers!>>

"She wasn't a stranger! That was our neighbor!"

<<And you know perfectly well what I meant! Now get out of my home!>>

"Fine! You stupid old gelding!"

<<That's it!>> He butted her with his house until she was outside, then slammed and locked the
door.

"Stupid animal! You'll come crawling back later! Just you watch!" but there was no sound from
inside the domicile.

She grumbled all the way to her front door. When she was finally inside, she went straight to
the room hidden in her kitchen pantry and put the purloined items on a shelf. "I'll deal
with those tomorrow." she mumbled to herself, then headed for bed.
