We start our story off with a young man named Shiryu.

Shiryu is 18 years old as of last week, he also carries a special secret..

Chapter One: The Day I met Her…

I was walking down the street on my way to school. I was so tired from the night before, I had stayed up all night studying for the big test today. On my way to school I saw her…Miss Yukino Hinagashi from class 2-A. She looked so beautiful, her hair shimmering in the sunlight, her eyes sparkling with joy. Yes…If you haven't figured it out by now, I do indeed like her but…she never notices me, even though I sit right next to her in biology, she never notices me. Then again, I don't feel so bad about it. I'm never noticed, I stay locked inside myself and let no one through…so if they don't notice me, we don't become friends…and if we don't become friends, I don't have to let anyone in.

“Hey Takanowa” I hear form a short distance. I turn around to see Ryujii. Ryujii is…an acquaintance…I can't really call him my friend because, just like everybody else…I do not let him in but, Ryujii is the closest thing to a friend I have. We play games together, we talk about things, and sometime, I even laugh with him.

I stop and let him catch up and get his breath. “Geez man…you sure walk fast” he says still trying to breath. I look down at him and give him a little smile, I'm sorry. He looks at me and stands up strait. “Its ok” he says with a smile. In the distance we hear the school bell. He gasps and jumps a little“ Oh No….we're late!” I look at him with an odd face. Well then…why are we still standing here…I pick him up and put him on my back and start to run. “Hey, wh-what are you doing Shiryu?!” I look back at him, he's blushing some for a strange reason but I ignore that. We'll never make it if I let you try and run, your much to slow, I smile at him…his blush grows bigger. “Your so mean, but so nice”

Finally, we get to school. I let him down and we run to our class, I open the door and we walk in to take our seats. “Your late” we hear the teacher say in a stern but sweet voice. “Um…s-sorry M-Mam…we just uh…” We lost track of time, I say calmly.

Well, she says with a smile. “don't lose track again or I'll have to give you detention.” Yes Mam, We say and bow. “oh by the way” she smiles at us as we look at her. “We have a class transfer, her name is Yukino Hinagashi.” I gasp as I turn around to see her in the seat next to mine. “Hello” she says and waves to me. Wow…she actually said hello…she actually acknowledged me. My heart began to race faster and faster as I approached my seat and sat down beside her. H-Hi…I said to her in a soft, quiet voice. My name's Shiryu Takanowa, and if you need anything just say so ok. She looked at me with such a cute face then turned away.

My heart was racing so fast, my breathing got a little heavy, it got so hot. I undid the top 4 buttons of my shirt and just sat there. “Are-are you ok?” My eyes popped open as I looked beside me. She was standing right there, Yukino was standing right beside me knelt down, with her hand on my head. I back away from her hand quickly. I-I'm fine…she looks at me with concern and puts her lips to my forehead. “Are you sure…your awfully hot, and your really red. I think you should go see the nurse.” I look at her with a bit of confusion. I think to myself, why-why are you doing thins…why now do you acknowledge me…why not before. Why are you being so nice, can you not see that it is you who is doing this to me. I-I am fine, I say to her. It's just a little hot in here is all. “It doesn't feel hot to me, Shiryu…I really think you should go to the nurse.” I look at her and think to myself, she said my name…she remembered it, is she concerned about me, why? “Miss. Yukino” we hear the teacher say. “ Why are you out of your seat?!” I look at her, then the teacher. She looks at me with such concern and pulls me up out of my seat. “It's Shiryu…look at him.”…the teacher looks at me with a bit of concern. “ Shiryu, are you feeling alright. You look a bit red and you seem flustered.” I'm fine, I tell her. “Still” she says to me. “ I think you should go to the nurse. Yukino, please escort him to the nurses office.” No! I look at her a bit angry and frustrated. I-am-fine…I do not need to go to the nurse. “then why not get some fresh air?” Yukino says to me sweetly. Fine…teacher, may I please be excused. “ Of course” she says in a nice tone of voice. “And may I be excused to!” yells a voice from across the room. The teacher sighs softly “I suppose so Ryujii…but only because I trust you with Shiryu, don't let him run ok” “yes Mam!” he yells running out the door. “ok back to the lesson”….”Mam” a voice calls out from the back. “Oh, yes Yukino?” “May-may I be excused…I want to make sure he's alright. Please.” The teacher gives her a nod and with an instant, she's gone.

Outside under the cherry blossom tree…

“Hey Shiryu?”…I turn and look at Ryujii, yes? “W-was it because of that girl, that you got like that?” I look at him with a bit of surprise, he looks a bit angry. Ryujii? Are you ok? I ask him in concern. He looks at me with a bit of tears in his eyes. R-Ryujii, whats wrong?! The next thing I know…I feel Ryujii's arms around my neck, and his lips to mine. I can do nothing but sit there in shock. He breaks apart and looks at me with the reddest face I had ever seen. R-Ryujii…why did you? “Because I love you damn it!” I look at him in shock, surprised at what he had just said. Why? Why me Ryujii? He looks at me, his eyes filled with tears. “I don't know, I just love you. There is no explanation for it, I just…I'm in love with you Shiryu!”
