Life

What is life?

Pain, sorrow and regret

How can we live with so much strife?

It's almost as if we are all in a bet

A bet to see who can stay sane the longest

But I must ask why we are the pawns

Our simple lives move way too fast

If only we had some sort of sign

Signs that tell us whom we are

And how our lives will turn out

Whether or not we will grow up to be a star

Or will we die, never again coming about

Why is life so hard?

Why must we go through so much pain?

Somebody must know and play their cards

They must play that card to be able to stay so sane

Why so much hatred and misunderstanding?

I guess no one will ever know

And we must fight to remain standing

In the game show…

The game show we call life.
