Fan Fiction ❯ Being a Hero's not all it's cracked up to be ❯ chap 2 ( Chapter 2 )
AN: OMG! So sorry to anyone who liked this story that I haven't ever updated but I had this brutal case of mind-numbing writers block and then I completely forgot. I have no idea how long it's been, but I suppose I have enough time to write some more especially since school is going to be over on the 9th for me. Well in any case here is chapter 2. Enjoy.
Disclaimer: You know the drill.
Nabooru froze as green eyes seemed to bore into her yellow ones, but she couldn't help but melt at the intensely searching, almost passionately so, gaze. Her heart stopped as she realized that she would die at the hands of perfection. Then as if nothing had happened the warrior returned to nursing wounds marring the otherwise perfect chest.
`Goddesses!' Nabooru thought as she started to breathe again. `Almost died of shock…ah well, long as the scenery's pleasant.' She returned to the captivating view, musing about how that tight ass and sculpted body would feel against her hands.
After a while of inspecting wounds, the Rogue dove under the water and out of sight. After about a straight 2 minutes Nabooru was starting to wonder if her entertainment had drowned. `Can't have that can we?' she thought as she cautiously moved toward the edge of the river and took off her sandals so she could walk into the water until it was about halfway up her calf. `Where are you?' She looked around but didn't see even a slight ripple in the water. A moment later she found herself on her back with her hands held above her head and the lower part of her body intimately straddled by the green-eyed warrior. A wicked grin spread across the Rogue's face, scaring Nabooru witless. "Well what have we here, a spy? A Gerudo, does that pig Ganondorf still want my head? He's going to have to do better than sending a woman who can't even use a little magic, they break so easily. A pity seeing such a waste." Nabooru started to shiver violently as this seemed to be the end for her, a small cry of fear escaped her throat unbidden, the sound instantly softening the gaze and features of the youth above her. "Shh, it's alright I'm not going to hurt you, I merely wanted a good look at the one who has been watching me for some time, forgive my actions and words I will not punish you for following that green coward."
Nabooru stopped shaking so forcefully and looked up, confused by the reassuring grin on that gorgeous face and couldn't help but wonder how such a charming person could be the unstoppable and pitiless warrior she was sent to find. She snapped her attention back to the Rogue who continued talking "-however you must possess some skill because I could not hear or smell you, or maybe these wounds are more grievous than I imagined." This was said in a surprisingly upbeat and cheerful voice for the formality of the words that confused Nabooru to no end. Well almost anyway.
"Why do you talk like that and- Hey what do you mean by hear or smell, I don't stink and I'm not loud!" She said as anger overruled her confusion. "Sorry, I talk like that sometimes because first impressions are very important to me and as for the rest well, that gasp alone could've woken the dead and your smell doesn't fit with this area." The youth said a bit chagrined. "Huh?" Was the not so intelligent response. "Let me explain, you smell like dry clay which you don't find near a river, hot desert sand that you can't find near thriving plants, and cinnamon, which doesn't grow in this area…" The Rogue said all this while lifting Nabooru's wrist to idly sniff it then put to soft lips to tentatively lick her pulse point, causing her to start in surprise. "Mmm, taste like it too" the warrior said with a laugh that lit up those dazzling green eyes while flashing perfect white teeth. "I meant how could you hear and smell all that."
"Oh!" came the thoughtful reply "Well it's a long story but let's just say that powerful people gave me useful gifts for services rendered." "I'll bet." Came Nabooru's reply as she shivered in delight as her wrist was brought back to those lips and a gloriously skilled tongue that continued swirling about her pulse point. "Mmm, cinnamon is delicious but I much rather prefer vanilla, too bad really." Each word was punctuated with a lick and a laugh. `Wonder where you learned that little trick… mmm" Nabooru imagined that tongue and mouth in more intimate places, she realized she was getting wet in a way not caused by the river, and that a certain someone still chuckling and licking her wrist was still on top of her, gloriously naked. Said someone suddenly looked up as a new scent reached sensitive nostrils. "Now you smell different, why?" Asked the warrior curiously which startled Nabooru who accidentally brought her knee to a seriously sensitive area that had recently been injured due to an explosion that had resulted in being thrown from the 7th story of an ancient run down temple. Luckily a metal pole had saved the day. Lucky if children were still a possibility.
An earth-shattering scream rung throughout the canyon as the injured warrior rolled off of Nabooru, breathing hard while whimpering and moaning loudly. The rogue assumed a fetal position and seemed to go into shock. Nabooru was alarmed by the intensity of the reaction and she realized that the area was previously damaged. Nabooru decided that she had to check the area to see the extent of the damage, but first she needed to make sure that her new patient agreed to let her see the injury so she wouldn't end up making it worse by using force. She walked over and touched a taut shoulder that flinched at her touch. `Any response is a good response I guess.' She thought. She spoke soothingly to try and get the youth to uncurl so she could look at the injury which was met by a whimper and pained green eyes. "Hey, I know it hurts so let me get a look at it to see what I can do ok?" She said this so softly she thought she wasn't heard until the Rogue softly replied "I completely forgot I wasn't wearing anything, I had no right to jump on you, I'm really sorry." Nabooru laughed softly "It's a little late but don't worry about it, now be good and spread your legs, I promise that I'll be careful." She laughed inwardly thinking that, under different circumstances, she'd probably enjoy doing just that. Nabooru noticed the lack of movement and teasingly added "Aw what's the matter? Not used to having people look between your legs?" She noticed the hesitation, genuinely surprised. " Oh… I had no idea you were a virgin… but if I'm going to help you I need you to spread your legs."
Seeing her patient uncurl and lay back was taken as agreement. She laid flat on her stomach and spread the warrior's legs farther apart to get a good look, what she saw made her gasp, causing her patient to flinch at the sensation of warm breath across warm flesh. Nabooru almost gagged at the sight of the bruise, it wasn't just black and blue, it was purple and green as well. She started breathing hard to keep the last thing she ate right where it was, making the poor kid flinch and gasp in reaction to the sudden air circulation down there, responding in a choked voice "If you're going to keep that up could you move away, just air passing it hurts and it's feels weird too." Nabooru raised herself up on her elbows still breathing hard, wondering how something that horrible hadn't crippled the kid let alone impede movement. She gulped visibly then cringed "Goddesses! Do you always end up this hurt? That thing looks like you were nearly split in half, it's a miracle you can still think straight after that!" Nabooru said still feeling queasy. She looked up to see a slightly pained lopsided grin painted on that perfect face "All in a days work although I'm starting to regret this particular career choice" came the reply. Look I don't think you'll be able to so I'm going to have to fix your `little' problem" Nabooru retorted "I can't stand the sight of such a bad- Hey!" She exclaimed as her patient hastily stood up. "Problem… that's all I ever have… ever am…" Nabooru was stunned "That's not what I-" but she didn't finish because she realized the kid wasn't talking to her. The Rogue started sniffing the air looking for something as Nabooru watched the kid started digging up some earth and saw a wooden box in a hole that the warrior gently took out. It was about a foot long and 6 inches wide, the rogue opened it to reveal a silver tunic and black pants as well as a glass bottle filled with some sort of blue liquid. To her surprise the youth drank the contents of the bottle and all the wounds were closing up and eventually disappeared as the Rogue gently announced "Completely forgot this was here…" She watched in dumb silence as the kid got dressed. Finally Nabooru said something "What was that blue stuff you just drank and how did it heal you?" The warrior replied "Simply? It's a blue potion and it's magic, you don't have to stay here anymore, you can go home I'm fine but I guess I'll camp out here for the night." She didn't understand what the youth said, she was about to leave when she looked into those eyes and saw deep pain. Nabooru couldn't leave yet "What was all that talk about problems you went off on just a minute ago? You're upset tell me what's wrong." Nabooru knew she was being presumptuous but something compelled her to ask anyway, she told herself it wasn't concern, just curiosity. "The past has a way of coming back to consume those who aren't careful, I suggest you leave it alone" That wasn't the answer she was looking for. "I'm not leaving you until you tell me what's wrong." Nabooru said stubbornly. "Then I guess you'll be following me for quite some time, well then help me make a fire… I don't believe I know your name." It's Nabooru" she said as she walked up to the youth and started looking around for wood. "What's yours?" The Rogue looked startled. "My name…? I really can't say I know my real name… it's been a very long time since… never mind it doesn't matter I guess you can call me what everyone else calls me… call me Cassandra."
AN: Let me explain something Nabooru is part of a race that has one male every 100 years and he was a sack of crap his time around, they're relative outcasts from the rest of Hyrulian society so what other option is there for these possibly horny to their wits end women? Hm maybe other women? I'm not saying that they have to be exclusively so seeing as their race would die out I'm just saying it's probably part of their culture to go both ways. Any questions, leave them on your reviews, any flames, well just be glad I can't meet you in person.
