I drummed my fingers on the arm of my chair.My patience was wearing thin. No one could see me from my current position

and I can assure you when they do see me I will not be pleased.

The counsel room was now a place of argument. No counsel could take place in this discusting display.Lord Eldaros took

control with a wave of his hand and he tryed to start again.

"Now. We all know why we are here.To discuss the ever rising threat of the Realm of darkness and it's armies.We have the one

thing that can seal our fate either for good or for bad.

"The jewel of darkness is no longer safe here.It will no longer be safe any where. It MUST be distroyed." I heard Lord Eldaros

say. For all his wisdom he knows not how to keep a conceil quite for more than a minute at a time.The lords talked all at once.

I had enough.

"My lords!" I said in my calm but stern voice.My tone scared them."I would think men of your status would know how to behave at

a conceil. If you did then mabye you would stay quiet for then a minute at a time. Next time send your wives!!"

"Who are you to insult us so?" The human prince said clearly agrivated.

"Well dear Tyronos. I shall send word to your father that he sould come himself next time.For he at least knows his superiors!" I

stepped out of the shadows.

The king sighed and slumped in his chair.

"Thank you my dear Shadow. Tyronos sit down and close your mouth!" Lord Eldaros pinced the bridge of his nose,he was clearly

as tierd as I of this madness.

I watched the human sit down and I walked over to the jewel. Peering in to it's depths I relayed the facts.

"The jewel must be distroyed there is no doubt of that. However, to distroy it ,some one must take it to the Realm of Darkness,

cast it into the Fires of Cablis atop Cablis's Castle."

"The Realm of Darkness?! Cablis's Castle?! Are you mad elf??" The human sspoke out again.

"Not as mad as you for interupting me!!" I growled. My eyes flared with anger. "You insulting child! Do not test the patience of your

eldars. Especially if that eldar is me!"

"You are no elder!Your face is no more years then mine!"Tyronos said to me.

"Do not be fooled young one." My dear friend Jeran said from his seat. Little did he know he just saved that human from a very

painful fate."Tough we look no older, Shadow and I are well over your age. Has your father told you nothing?"

"I will need a tinker, a druid, and a warrior to come along with Jeran and myself."I said ignoring the human."Also I will need a boat."

"Done! Your druid Allan Riverbreeze of the Evergreen hills.Your tinker Tarken Underhill of the Mountain of Ar'Nor, Tarken is also

a master potions maker. Finally your warrior shall be..." Eldarous looked from myself to the other conciel members.

"I!!" A voice said from behind me.I looked to see the human Tyronos. "I will be your warrior Lady Shadow."

"Then it is done!!" The king clapped his hands."Now!! We Feast!! For tomorrow you set sail!!"

The conceil room emptied into the great hall.Moutians of food were piled upon great goldden platters.I scoffed,what a waste

of food.

Reluctinly I sat in my place of honnor beside the king.My friend Jeran sat beside me. From my place I could see those who

would travel with me.All but one was at the table.Tyronos was off in a corner looking quite thoughtful. I got up and went over to him.

"What is it that you think about Human?Surely not the woes of the world as I do."I said when I was a few steps away from him.

"No Elf,I leave the world to you."Tyronos laughed a little at the little joke he made."I think of my young one. He comes of age

very soon, I wonder what will happen to him if I am not there for him."

That caught me off guard.Though I traveled far and have many years.I had never had responcibility more then my

selfish pride.

"Do not fear the goddess will watch over us.She will not fail us."I said feeling pity for the boy.

"I hope you are right."

"She will not fail.You must have faith."

"Thank you Elf your words comfort me."Tyronos smiled.I returned the smile.

"Come now Tyronos tonight we shall forget our differences and feast!"I said putting my arm around the Human and lead him to the

table.

The next morning we set sail.The king saw us off.The druid set a wind to our sails.We were half way there in one day.

"All bodies down stairs!"I called and we held a meeting in the common room.The gnome set out a plan.

"T'is an easy walf to the Castle of Darkness.There we will meet the Armies of darkness,thier weakness is light so Allan,bring the sun

with you.Once the light hits them they will be stunned for 5 minutes and blind for 30.That is our time to strike."The gnome had a

squeaky voice but a large brain.The plan was perfect.

"Okay Tarken's plan will work if will co-operate.Allan can you do your part?"I asked.

"Aye Lady Shadow.To bring the sun is an easy feat."The druid replied.

"Good! Now, to bed! We must be quick tomorrow so prepare yourselves.For tomorrow it ends!" I left them and entered my

chambers.

We arrived aroung noon on the black borders of the Realm of Darkness.In the distance the flames atop of the castle burned

bright.

"Okay weapons ready." I said drawing my sword.The blade glowind a bright purple.

Behind me I heard Jerans axe spinning as he drew it.Tyronos drew hir sword and shield and clanked them together.The gnome

held his staff close and Allan let the wind pick him up.

"Let it begin!!"I said.

Allan flew ahead and blinded the armies.Needless to say the armies were quite unprepared.The jewel bounced around in its

place in my back bag.Tyronos and Jeran fought along side me and we made our way to the castle entrance.

Once at the doors I kicked them open.The stairs were many and I was winded by the time I was at the top.The flames

were massive and as i stepped closer the heat hit me in a million magma hot waves.

I gasped for air and steped ever closer.I took the jewel out of the bag on my shoulder.I stumbled forward through the heat

and got ready to toss the jewel to its distruction.

"Hold it there Elf!!"A evil voiced said.

I stopped and looked around for the voices body.

"Now you wouldn't be thinking of distroying my jewel now would you??"The evil voice was taunting and teasing.

"Cablis!!"I growled.

"Ah! So she does remember me!Tell me, how is your dear old father?"Cablis contiued to taunt me.

"He died and you know it!!"I spat.Tossing the jewel I charged at him.

"Now my dear Shadow.I tought you smarter then that!"Cablis teased easily dodging my strikes.

"Oh but I am!" I grinned."Did you not watch where I tossed the jewel?"

"NOOOOO!!!!!!!!"Cablis yelled as he looked over in the fire to see the jewel slowly melting away.

"I'd say you have about...30 seconds left."I grinned lowering my guard in satisfaction.

"ELF!!!"Cablis's eye's glowed red and he charged at me.I had no time to react as he plunged his sword into me.

As I fell I heard Tyronos call out from behind me. I fell into his arms.Cablis melted away along with the flames and jewel.

"Tyronos..." I said my voice dieing with the rest of me."Tell your son I said 'Happy Coming of age'."

I felt his tears on my face and his hand touch my head .A few feet away I saw Jeran with tears in his eyes.

"Strength with Honnor." I wispered.

"Death with Dignity."He wisperd back tears flowing freely.

I smiled my last smile, then I felt and saw no more.
