The Titans were now in the tower waiting for the stranger in front of them to give an explanation of what happened in the ware house. They were still on guard though because they didn't know what he was going to do.

 

Blood then started his story, “as I said before I am a vampire but I need to clear up some things about our kind.”

 

“I have read about vvam-pi-erss in earth books but I thought they were just myths”, asked Starfire.

 

“Actually Star they are real”, interrupted Raven.

 

“Ah so you know about us Raven.”

 

“Only a little bit”, she said coldly.

 

“And you didn't tell us this why Raven”, asked Cyborg.

 

“You never asked.”

 

“So dude if you're a vampire then if you drank Jinxes blood then wouldn't she be one to”, asked Beastboy.

 

Blood grinned then laughed out loud “my friend you are telling tales of what my kind call Hollywood vampires, they are stories and movies based on myths that are mostly all fake.

 

“Oh”, Beastboy said.

 

“For instance I cannot be hurt by crosses, garlic, or holy water. Also sunlight does not affect me only my eyes are sensitive to it which is why I wear these”, he pointed to his glasses.

 

“Then what does hurt you”, Raven said with a harsh voice.

 

Blood frowned as he said “I cannot tell you that Raven for I tell no one my secret.”

He put the smile back on.

 

The Titans just sat there then Cyborg said “so if there are vampires out there drinking people's blood then why haven't people who've been bitten report it.”

 

 

“Because now a days vampires only drink freely donated medical blood that the hospital administrators give to us in exchange for our blood and saliva that have great healing powers. And if we do drink fresh blood it's usually from a donor or our mates.”

 

“But I bet not all vampires do this”, Raven said coldly.

 

Blood sighed “you are right Raven there are still some low savage vampires out there who still drink from human's everyday, but as I said most of us are noble and drink freely donated medical blood.”

 

 

The Titans sat as they took this all in for it was quite overwhelming. Then Blood stood up, “now I must leave for I still haven't found a place to sleep tonight.”

 

He was almost at the door when Robin called out “wait why don't you stay here with us.”

 

Blood turned around with a confused look and stuttered “well I will but aren't you afraid of what I am.”

 

Robin smiled then said “it's the least we could do you did save us and I think we can trust you.”

 

The other Titans nodded and smiled except for Raven.

 

Then Starfire flew up to Blood and lifted him with one of her hugs as she squealed “new friend.”

 

The other Titans expected to see Blood wince in pain but were surprised when he smiled and hugged her back. When he set down the now aching Starfire Beastboy said “dude he stood up to Stars hug.” The Titans except Raven laughed then Robin called out “ok team time for bed, you don't mind sleeping on the couch Blood do you.”

 

“Not at all Robin”, then he headed for the couch.

 

When everyone else was out of the room Raven stared at Blood and set him a mind message, `I'm not so trusting so if you hurt my friends then I will destroy you.' What she didn't expect was him to give one back.

 

`You have nothing to fear from me Raven I would never hurt them. And if you don't want me to send messages then you might want to put up some more powerful mind barriers', he turned and winked at her with those red eyes that Raven thought were gorgeous. She blushed and he sent her another message `ah that blush only added to the beauty of your face', then he headed for the couch as Raven ran from the room.

Raven stood outside the door holding her heart that was out of control as she whispered the word “beauty.”

Blood sat on the couch in the dark as he thought to himself `I have friends.”
