Four months later,

It had been four months since Blood had joined the Titans and had officially moved in. Of coarse hardly anyone saw the inside of his room since he was stricter about it than Raven. He made that clear by leaving a permanent not on the door saying `come into this room and you will be considered dead.'

The Titans had seen him carry in a fair size refrigerator, (for his blood packs) a black suitcase and a very big green box that looked as if it was from the army, like an ammo box.

His room was actually just down the hall from Ravens and she had to pass his every time she went to her room. She didn't know weather this made her happy or nervous because she was still confused about her feelings.

In these four months Blood had became a cherished Titan and a wonderful friend, he had fought in numerous battles and most of the villains he fought were now in therapy but no physical damage was done. The city had come to know him well and the newspapers called him the dark hero. The Titans were now a group of six and crime was now at an all time low.

It was the five month anniversary since Blood had joined and now he felt truly at home. He walked down the hallway to find the rest of the team in the living room. Raven was drinking green tea and Cyborg and Beastboy were playing video games. Robin was sitting at the table examining some papers and Starfire was cooking some sort of horror in the kitchen, he had thankfully got out of her meals by saying he didn't eat food which he did sometimes but she didn't need to know that.

He walked over to Robin and asked what he was doing.

“Has anyone noticed that we haven't seen or heard from Slade in abut 7 months.”

“Who's Slade”, asked Blood.

The Titans all stopped what they were doing and fell silent.

“Slade is an evil madman that wants to take over the city”, replied Robin.

Then the Titans told the story's of there fights with Slade and his most recent fire powers. Blood listened then when the Titans were finished he started to chuckle then that changed into a laugh.

The Titans had confused looks on their faces then Blood said “finally he sounds like a worthy opponent who I can have some fun”, with he said with an evil smile then he turned and went outside. The Titans watched out the widow as Blood went to the shooting rage he set up by the obstacle course and started shooting his gun.

It was a couple of hours later and Blood was sitting on the couch drinking a blood packet. The rest of the Titans had gone to dinner and he was surprised when Raven walked in the room.

“Raven I thought you went to dinner with the others.”

“I did then after that they wanted to go clubbing and that's just not my thing.”

“Oh”, he went back to drinking his blood pack and staring at the window when the alarm went off.

Blood went over to the computer and started pressing buttons; Robin had showed him how to use it just in case. Then a figure popped up on the screen, it was Slade.

“Hello Titans”, he said in a cool cold voice. “I'm back from vacation and ...Oh am I interrupting something and who are you.”

“The names Blood, I joined up when you were away, you must be Slade.”

“I see the Titans have already told you about me.”

“They told me enough for me to assume you a worthy opponent not like this trash I've been fighting.”

“I thank you for the most esteem compliment.”

“Lets cut to the chase you wanted the Titans but you got me so how about a little fight.”

“Sounds interesting where shall it be.”

“How about the old warehouse down by the pier. I won't try any tricks if you don't.”

“Fair enough.”

“One more thing mind if I bring a guest”, he nodded toward Raven.

Slade secretly smiled and said “not at all”, and with that he disappeared.

Blood turned to Raven his red eyes staring into her lavender ones and his fangs showing.

“So want to watch.”

Raven practically had her mouth hanging open; he had just challenged Slade alone and invited her along like it was going to be some party.

“You really should call the guys.”

“I know but I am quite confident that he has no idea of what I'm capable of.”

“It's still dangerous.”

“Yes but I'm going to have fun, so do you want to come.”

Raven thought for a moment then said “no.”

Blood seemed unaffected as he asked why.

“Because”, she stopped herself why reveal everything to him he was the newest member of the team.

Blood then sat down next to her and stared into her eyes as he said “please tell me.”

Raven couldn't hold it back any longer all of the sadness she had been holding back poured forward as she started to cry and fell into Bloods chest. As she cried she told him the whole story about her emotions and the prophecies. Blood just held her and listened then when she was done he spoke.

“So this is why you must be so cold, well I am familiar with your kind Raven and I know how you can get your emotions to not be out of control.”

Raven stared wide eyed at him and she frantically begged “please tell me please.”

“You see your kind must find a life mate before you can come of age and your emotions settle.”

“So I have to find a mate.”

“You have to find the right mate one that you will spend eternity with”, he said as he put on a loving face and stared into her eyes.

Raven just stared back and started to fell the loving emotion she had when she met him. He was so dark like her yet loving and trustworthy. She then knew she had to tell him about her feelings for him right now.

“Blood”, she said in a quiet loving voice, “will you be my mate.”

Blood eyes widened and then he said “you don't mind what I am.”

“I don't care what you are all I know is that I felt I've loved you since I met you.”

Blood smiled the warmest smile she had ever seen, he leaned close to her and said “Raven, I would be honored to be your mate and spend the rest of eternity with the girl I fell in love with also.”

Raven threw her arms around him and pulled them into a deep passionate kiss. She half expected things to go flying around the room but they didn't, he was right.

They sat there and kissed for what seemed like hours and when they came up for air he stared into her eyes.

“I must go and fight Slade now but I promise to return so we can become official mates.”

“I'm coming to I will not abandon you.”

He smiled and said “are you sure.”

“I've never been surer about anything.”

“You truly are the perfect mate I promise I will always protect you and spend eternity with you”, with that he picked her up bridal style and kissed her again as they both disappeared onto a spiral of shadows.
