Bounty Iso I:
Quest for the sword:
The dagger's powers

Lime woke up in the middle of the night. . He kept thinking about the other day. Ido had gotten strange powers from the pool. It seemed that anything that came in contact with the pool gained immortality. He stroked his shaved head.

He felt something cold pass through him. It felt like eating a snowball. But it was the middle of summer, so it must have been something else.

Lime ran to Davis and woke him up. “What's going on? You heard the narrator, it's the middle of the night.” Lime stared at Davis. “Narrator? What narrator?”

Davis got up. He felt the same cold sensation that Lime had felt. “Do you smell something?” Lime sniffed the air. “What died?”

Davis turned and saw the earth move. Skeletons covered in body armor rose from the ground. Davis looked horrified. `Does that answer your question?”

Lime ran. “I'll wake up Iso. You fight.” Davis turned around. `You have got to be kidding me.

* * * * *

“Iso! Iso! There are zom-“ Lime stopped when he saw Iso fighting ten of the zombies at once.

Iso leapt into the air and held his sword ready. “Cool Blue Slice!” He cut at the zombies viciously. The random body parts froze.

Lime and Iso ran outside to help Davis. Iso stopped when he felt his dagger vibrate. He took it out and saw that it had the same symbols on it that it had when he had fought Ido.

Iso turned to look at the zombies. When he focused hard enough he could see that three of them were different.

“The demons from the circus!” The three zombies melted, and moved towards Iso. They reformed into a wolf-man, a minotaur, and the third one became his true form.

“Well, well, well. If it isn't… what's your name again?” Iso couldn't help but laugh. Loop and the other two huddled up and whispered. “Iso, right? It's just been so long, with the evil planning and the whole- oh, you know what I'm talkin' bout!”

The wolf-man was very thin. You could practically see his rib cages. He looked like a wolf that walked on its hind legs. The minotaur was wearing special body armor and had a giant axe strapped to his back. Loop's form looked like it always had.

Loop looked at the minotaur and the wolf-man. “Quiz, Shift, divide the army into two and attack the wet fish and child.” Lime frowned. “That test your strength game was a scam!”

Lime took out his dagger and charged at Loop. But he stopped when he felt the cold sensation. Laughter came from the trees.

Light began to form in front of the army of skeletons. A giant suit of armor carrying a wicked sword appeared. It had small metal wings growing out of the helmet. It had a huge chest with the picture of a bow and arrow. The arrow was a sword that pointed to the helmet. It kept changing its color, gradually.

The suit lifted the sword above its head. “Puny humans!” The helmet turned around revealing another way to put on the helmet. “Sup'?” The helmet turned around back to the front. “We are the astral form of the great necromancer Res!”

Iso took out his sword and slashed at the spirit. The sword cut right down the middle. “That takes care of that.” Said Iso. “Don't be so” “sure, bounty hunter!”

Iso looked as the left side of the spirit grew a right side and the right grew a left. “You see bounty hunter,” “as an astro form of a person” “we are merely an extension” “of that persons will.” All four joined together. “That means we are able to do whatever our master wants!”

One of the phantoms grabbed Lime by the neck and threw him against one of the tents. Davis tried to attack one from behind, but the face on the back of the head alerted the front.

Iso leapt at the zombies and sliced at them. But no matter how hard he tried, the zombies reassembled themselves. One of the astral forms floated in front of him. “The dead make such good minions.” “They never get tired, angry, hungry, and they don't quit fighting when a random body part falls off.”

Iso slashed the phantom into thousands of pieces. Each piece grew into a full-grown phantom. Iso charged at them and let out a cry. “Cool Blue Sli-“ His sentence was cut short by a phantom punching him hard in the gut.

One of the phantoms grabbed his sword and threw it into the fire. “No more fancy moves now!”

Iso grabbed his dagger. It had the symbols on it. He charged forward and stabbed one of the phantoms.

The phantom laughed. “Do you really think, that, that, will…” A hole began to form in the astral image.

Before any other astral forms could get at him, light began to form something. A big ball of light covered in the same blue images appeared. Beams of light shot out of it. The beams formed images that looked like Iso holding the dagger.

The light beings were featureless. They had the shape perfect, but there were neither symbols on the coat nor features on the faces.

Each of the light beings sought out an enemy and stabbed them. The hole in the creatures got bigger and bigger until the villain was completely swallowed up. When Loop, Quiz, and Shift the demons were gone, three balls of light flew off.

Davis chased after them. Iso stood in front of him to block the path. “Shouldn't we go after them? With that whole dagger thing you did, you can take Res down!”

Iso went to the fire and grabbed his sword. “Res seems too powerful to face right now. Once I gain the scimitar of the crescent moon, we can go after him. Until then, we train.” Davis frowned. `I just hope the next story isn't as hard as this one was.'
