Chapter two (Mitch's P.O.V)
So, here I was in a bar… nothing much to do but to drink the night away. I ordered another scotch but was declined; I guess I had much too much to drink tonight. Well the bartender just laughed and went to take another persons order.
Then I saw him, he was in a dark black cloak, his other features hidden from my sight, but from what I could see… he was around 5' 9''. When I'm drunk it could really be anything. “Are you the chosen one now known as Mitch"? He whispered in low voice. I looked at him awkwardly. "Yeah, I am what of it?" I was talking as though I was sober.
He grinned sardonically, "If you wait here for the night, something big will happen to you tonight. Something you will never believe." I quickly tried to order another scotch this time for him and it worked.
I looked at him "Are you saying I should stay here?"
He grinned and nodded then he just left… I swear something was not right about that guy. That's about the time I decided to take a nap, to get over the scotch that was in my system.
Well…anyways I woke up about eight hours later, to see that everyone in the bar had gone home for the night. The bartender, though, I knew for a fact was in his room asleep. That was when I heard an ear-piercing scream coming from outside. I quickly covered my ears headed out to see what the hell it was.
There I saw two men hovering over a young woman- and she was getting pale very fast. "Hey! What the hell are you doing?!" I called out immediately. They lifted their heads up and grinned showing their fangs covered in the woman's blood…this was not good. I glanced at the woman; her neck had been snapped she was nearly completely drained of her blood…
I bolted back into the bar and barricaded the door as fast as I could.
"What the hell are these things?" I muttered under my breath Then I thought of it… maybe the stories weren't fiction at all… maybe they were true, my heart froze as the two creatures laughed darkly. `How did they hear me?' I thought as I slowly turned to look at the door, which
was no longer there, I must say. I groaned this could be a long night.
They slowly surrounded me as I jumped onto an oak table; they casually kicked the table legs out and I was left balancing a table with just two legs… The bartender suddenly burst into the room with a twelve-gauge shotgun. "Run if you value your life!" I quickly yelled at him.
He did not, however, stand a chance; he was run through with a scythe…
They both then looked at the door and quickly ran off.
`I guess I scared them off ' I thought egotistically taking my concentration of balancing soon after that I accidentally shifted my weight to the left, next thing I know I was sprawled out on the floor; Muttering that I was in pain.
When I got up I started walking towards the door but someone was blocking my way. I looked up to try and see who the hell it was. Who ever they were they wore a deep blue metallic cloak. As far as I could tell they were female. This luck must run in the family. The women tilted her head and grinned revealing white glistening fangs. Shit…
Yeah I was out of the frying pan… and into the very big fire!!
