Minons: Protectors of the Elements
"You must be mistaken," said Taiya. "No, I'm sure that you are indeed the princess," assured the younger woman, "You resemble the great queen, Queen Arina." Endios then looked at Taiya. "I haven't noticed before but now I do notice a resemblance," he said. "Wait a minute," said Taiya, "I'm not the star princess. I don't have a royal family or anything of that sort. And who is Queen Arina?" The older woman answered. "Queen Arina was the former queen of Starigan. She was greatly respected and loved by all. She was the reason the alliance was kept between the planets." "What alliance?" asked Taiya. "The planetary alliance of the shrone galaxy. It was an alliance that kept the planets at peace with the planet's rulers and minons." "Minon?" "Someone that guards the royal ruler and their family, like a bodyguard, right?" said Endios. "Close enough. The minon was usually from the planet's moon or asteroid system," replied the younger woman. Taiya looked more confused then ever. "we shall tell you more later but now is time for sleep," said the older woman. "Wait," said Taiya, "What are your names?" "I'm Nako," answered the older woman. "What element are you?" asked Endios. "I'm not an chosen warrior, but a minon," she answered. "I'm Princess Sashara. Nako's my minon. I'm the warrior of time," said the younger woman. "Goodnight," said Nako, and she and Sashara walked over to the trunk of a huge tree. "Goodnight Nako and Sashara!" called Taiya. "Please, just call me Sasha," replied Sasha. Wow, a real princess, thought Taiya. Then she noticed that Endios and Sheba were gone. "Up here!" called Endios. Taiya looked up. Endios and Sheba were sitting up in an enormous tree. "What are you doing up there?" asked Taiya. "It's safer to be up higher and besides, it's a better view of the sunset," answered Endios. "Well, how do I get up there?" "Duh, climb of course," replied Endios. He picked off an apple and began munching on it. Taiya looked at the tree. "I can do this," she assured herself. She rolled up her sleeves on her robe and started to climb. Boom! She fell on her butt. "Oww, that hurt," complained Taiya, rubbing her butt. Endios laughed. "Ha, ha! Man, maybe you do need help," he said, "I'll come down and help." Taiya looked at him. "No, I can do this myself," she declared, "I don't need your help." Endios was surprised. "If you say so. But don't keep falling. Your butt will be sore tommorrow." He laid back down. "I'll show him," said Taiya. She started climbing up but then she slipped and fell again. Man, this really bites, she tought. She sat down and thought a moment. "I know!" She stood up and raised her right hand. "Wind...come out!" A white beam come out of the ring and the wind figure appeared. "Wind..," began Taiya, "Can you take me up there?" She pointed up into the tree. The figure nodded and turned into it's wind form. It cam right beside Taiya. Taiya sat on it and it carried her up onto some branches. It set her down. "Now, can you wrap the branches into a nest for me?" she asked. The wind figure nodded again and began wrapping branches together, forming a nest. Some leaves fell on Endios. He opened his eyes. "I guess you're not that dunb after all," he replied. Taiya stuck her tongue at him. Then she remembered her bag. "Wind, would you please bring me my bag?" The wind figure flew down and grabbed her bag, and brought it up to her. "Thankyou, now retuen," said Taiya. The figure disappeared into the white beam and went into her ring. She opened her bag. Inside was her swimsuit, another school uniform, her shoes, skates, and bag of cookies. She pulled out her uniform. She made sure Endios wasn't looking and changed from her robe into it. "That's better." She then pulled out the bag of cookies. "I almost forgot about there," she said. She ate one. It still tasted just as fresh. She put more in her moutn. Sheba came up beside her. She stared at the bag of cookies. "You want one?" asked Taiya. The wolf wagged her tail. Taiya held out two cookies. Sheba sniffed them and then ate them. "What are those?" Taiya jumped. Endios came up beside her, looking at the bag as well. "Chocolate chip cookies. Want one?" asked Taiya. "What's a cholte hip cokys?" he tried to pronounce. Taiya gave him a surprised look. "You've never had a cookie before?" "Never heard of it," he replied. She pulled one out and gave it to him. He looked at it. "It looks pretty hard," he complained. "Just put it in your mouth," said Taiya. Endios sniffed it. Then he put it in his mouth. He chewed on it carefully and thoroughly. Then he swallowed it. "So what do you think?" asked Taiya. Endios looked at her and smiled. "It's the best thing I've ever tasted!" he said excitedly. He stared at the bag drooling. "Um..," said Taiya, backing away, "You want some more?" Endios nodded excitedly. Taiya gave him a handful of cookies. "I have to go to sleep now," she said. "Hmmm? Oh, right. Well goodnight," he said with his mouth full. He climbed back down to his spot. Taiya put the rest of the cookies back in her bag. She laid down on the robe. Sheba laid next to her. Taiya looked up. The sky was still red but filled with lots of beautiful stars. Taiya made out the constellations with them. She found the bears, fish, and the lion. The she stared at a pair of stars that seemed to formed into a giant bird. That's strange, thought Taiya, I've never seen that befoere. She started closing her eyes. I wish I had more help to get Madison back, she thought. Then the constellation glowed. Taiya rubbed her eyes and sat up. It looked normal. "I must be very tire," she told herself, and laid back down to sleep. "What is it?" asked Danon. The soldiers that were escorting Madison, came and stood before him. "Sir, the princess fell ill. She complained of her body hurting and then fell off the horse. Luckily she was still conscience, so we brought her back here," explained one of the guards. Danon only smiled. "Very well," he said, "You've done well." He threw them medium size bags of coins. "Now leave the castle," he ordered and got up. "But why?" asked the other guard. "I have no more use for the soldiers in the castle and neither does the queen," he replied, "So I'm getting rid of them." "But.." began the soldiers. "If you don't leave then I'll kill you. Now leave!" yelled Danon. The soldiers bowed and left the castle. Danon rubbed his head. "Morons," he said. He walked down to his chamber. Madison was on his bed, rolling oaround clenching the blankets. She was sweating and started to tear. Danon came over and gently wiped her bangs away from her sweaty forehead. She opened her eyes. "Danon, what's happening to me?" she gasped, breathing heavily. "You're just making a few changes, like into your true form," he answered. "My true form? What are you talking about?" "You're not really human," he said, "Just like Endios is not human." "I'm a vampire?" she asked. "No, but you'll find out soon. You see that drink I gave you will help you through this. It will make you into a strong queen. Strong enough to kill that so called friend of yours." "But I don't want to...." She started to say no but a voice from within her told her otherwise. "You want to be strong, you want to be a great ruler, you want to have Endios to yourself," it said. The voice rang through out her body. She screamed, "No, that's not true!!" "But it is," said Danon, "Those are the feelings you had hidden deep inside you. Now they are wanting to come out. Give in to them." Madison held her head. "No, stop it. STOP IT!!" She fell back onto the bed. "Mistress.....mistress Madison," said Danon. Madison opened her eyes and sat up. "I'm Princess Madila of Elfarion," she looked at Danon, "Don't you forget that." Danon knelt down and kissed her hand. "Forgive me my princess." She stodd up. "I will forgive you this time," she said, "Now tell me who you really are." "I'm Danon, the servant of her great queen. I am a prince from Elfarion. I wish for you to join me and together, we shall destory the elements and the star princess." Madison smiled. "I have a better idea. Even though I've been asleep inside for years, I remember some things from before. Yes, we shall kill the princess." "So should I go search for her?" asked Danon. "That won't be necessary. I have my own soldiers," said Madison, "Let's go to Earth." "Mother, why must I marry this boy?" asked the princess. "It's the only way to maintain peace for this galaxy," answered Queen Arina, "Besides, he seems like a nice young boy. Just give him a chance." The princess sulked and went off with her little wolf cub. She walked outside near the waterfall and sat on a hill filled with wildflowers. She picked some flowers and started making a necklace. A fish jumped out of the water and back in. The wolf cub ran over to the water and tried to catch it. "What it's name?" The princess turned around. It was the boy from earlier. "Sheba," she answered, turning back around to her necklace. "That's cool. Hey, you mind if I sit next to you?" The princess looked at him suspiciously but then said, "Yes, you may." The boy sat next to her. "May I ask you a question?" he asked. "Sure," replied the girl. "What's it like being a princess? I mean being in the Starigan royal family and all?" he asked. The princess stopped working on her necklace. "It's not all that well," she said, "First, you can't have anytime to yourself because you're usually surrounded by bodyguards, you don't get to have very many friends, you always have to be so well mannered and polite, evern worse, you're forced to marry whomever you mother says." She gasped. Oh, no! she thought. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that." The boy stood up. "I guess I'll see you around," and he left. The princess could sense some sadness in his tone. She started to cry. Sheba came up to her. "Oh Sheba, look at what I did," she cried. The wolf cub gently rubbed against the princess' leg. "What'll I do now?" Then Sheba tugged on her necklace. "That's it," she said. She wiped away her tears. "I'll make him a present to say I'm sorry." She quickly gathered more flowers for her necklace. Over by a neaby pillar, someone was watching her, hidden in shadow. The princess continued unaware. "Taiya, get up!" Taiya opened her eyes. She saw Endios in a frighten look. "What is it?" "Necroes!" "What are those?" she asked. SHe looked. She didn't need an answer. Below her were zombie like creatures. They were clawing up to get to them. But they couldn't. "Well, it looks like we're safe," sighed Taiya. "No we're not," said Endios. "why? They can't climb right?" said Taiya. "Yeah, but they can fly." Taiya gasped. As soon as Endios said that, the necroes grew large bony wings. Even though they were bony, their wings could make them fly. Some flew up in the sky and tried to grab them. The rest were trying to knock the tree over. "What do we do?!" yelled Taiya. "We're going to ...." he began. "Ya?" asked Taiya, waiting. "We're going to scream!!" "What?!" yelled Taiya. Endios grabbed her and pulled her over to him. "Hang on," he said. The tree went over. Endios picked her up and flew away. Well almost. They crahsed into the ground. "What happened?" asked Taiya, spitting dirt out. Endios was touching his wing. "It still hasn't healed yet," he said. There was a shriek. A necroes was diving down towards them from above. "Glaive zone strike!" A powerful beam in the shape of a time capsule hit the creature and knocked it down. Taiya looked over. "Sasha!" Sasha and Nako ran towars them. "What are you doing just standing around getting attacked?" yelled Nako. Taiya and Endios stood up. "Wind.. form a chain around the creatures," Taiya commanded. "Fire...Strike them down!" said Endios. Beams shot out of their rings. The figures stood before them and went to work. The fire warrior sent fireballs at the creatures and the creatures landed, burning up. Sadly, the wind warrior did try to fight but it went pass the creatures as if it was soft air. What's going on, thought taiya. Then a very large necroes came into view. "Oh no, it's a genecroes!" said Sasha. She grapped Taiya and pulled her to a nearby cave. "Endios! Nako! Hurry, run over here!" she called. The fire warrior ran head first into the genecroes but the creature simply opened its mouth and sucked it in. Then smoke came from its nose and formed into a knocked out fire warrior. Endiso dropped his mouth. "Um...it's time to go now," said Nako. Endios started right after but then he tripped over a dead necroes. The genecroes was now above him. "Now, I will finally get rid of one of you vampires!" it roared. Then it started to scream. Sheba had jumped on its back and bit into one of its wings. The genecroes growled and grabbed Sheba and threw her over near the cave. "Sheba!" cried Taiya. Sasha held her back. "Goodbye vampire," laughed the genecroes. A beam was building from its mouth. "We got to do something," said Taiya. Sasha shook her head. "Our powers aren't strong enough," she said. The beam was struck. "Nooo!!!" screamed Taiya. Boom! The ground came up. Rocks went everywhere. "Ha, ha! So long vampire!" Taiya couldn't believe it. Endios was dead.
