Commencement of Love

Prologue

. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Creatures with astounding beauty, perfection. No other words can describe these beings. Appearance can be deceiving, almost human, almost wolf, or both. They appear to be human at first glance, but then you wouldn't be looking close enough. They are too perfect to be human. Too perfect to be wolf…

"Father!" a voice called out, the tone of a young male, still a child`s voice. His eyes, a bright green that glowed and intensified with each step he took, running to his father. His long, silver hair, braided skillfully with three large metal bands with silver edges clasped around it, swinging wildly like a pendulum, hypnotizing those who looked. Two small wolf-like ears adorned the top of his head, though slightly limp, silver as his hair and just as beautiful.

The young boy, running swiftly. His bare feet making soft patters on the earthen dirt below. His body small and fragile, but his body, starting to turn into a more mature form, losing his baby fat, but still just a child. His form clad only in a light brown loincloth and a soft, furry tail just above, matching the color of its counterparts. The silver beauty dashing madly through tent-like houses and other wolf-like forms like his, but older and more mature than he, not one of them aged. The other's looked and then smiled when they saw the happiness and joy the boy had imprinted on his face. While running the boy stumbled, but managed to scramble to his feet and keep running to the largely decorated hut at the end of the small village.

"Father! Father…!" The silver-haired one called, finally reaching his and his father currently occupied, stopping just before the door-like flap before him. The boy's the breathing was labored and haste, he hunched over and put his delicate hands atop his knees, trying to catch his breath. A wisp noise was heard as the flap door opened. Revealing another like his own, similar in appearance to the boy, like him, his father had long silver hair, though not kept up like his son's. His ears and tail, silver. The boy's father wore a long white robe decorated with finely detailed symbols. Instead of green eyes he had swirling pools of azure, containing age old wisdom despite his youthful looks.

"Moshi, what is it you were disturbing the peace about, hm?" Humor was evident in his voice as was a soft smile that played upon his thin lips. Moshi looked up with a toothy smile upon his face. He patted the dust on his knees, then straightened himself with the smile still plastered onto his face.

"Can I please go play with Isas in the forest? Please father?" Moshi pouted, lower lip slightly sticking out and hands clasped in front of him. Overall the picture was cute and mildly entertaining, especially those eyes! Slightly quivering, reminded Moshi's father of the times he used to pull those innocent, pleading looks on his elders, but being the alpha male, he had his duties to fulfill. And also, a small 10 year old son to watch over.

"Isas, hm?" He raised an eyebrow at his son and then a grin rested on his elfin face . The azure eyes held a twinkle in them. Moshi pouted more, but hope was seen in those beautiful orbs.

"Well, I know this is hard for you, but stay out of trouble, both of you," The alpha's tone was stern yet humorous. Moshi and Isas staying out of trouble? Ha! what an absurd idea! Moshi's father laughed at the thought. Moshi and Isas were inseparable and trouble seemed to follow them wherever they went. He saw the looks they gave each other, pure adoration. Moshi was still too naïve to understand about love. He especially saw the affectionate looks that Isas threw at Moshi every time he looked at his young one. Love was beginning to blossom, "The commencement of love," he smiled mentally at that thought.

"Thank you so much father!" Another toothy grin was plastered onto his face. Eyes sparkled and glowed with joy. Moshi bowed respectfully before his father, before turning around and dashing through the village yet again to find his best friend. "Yes! Finally father is letting me into the forest! Isas, here I come!" Moshi inwardly exclaimed. He had yet to go into there, his father can be just a little overprotective sometimes, but overall was a wonderful person. He was lucky to have a father like his own.

Moshi's father sighed, but smiled. "Isas will take care of him, those two are perfect for each other," He turned around silently and disappeared through the flap-like door.

Yet again, he raced through the village with confident strides, to a certain brown-haired, green-eyed friend. Thoughts racing through his head, "He won't win this time!" "I'm gonna beat him!", with a determined look upon his heart-shaped face.
