Chapter 3
Nostalgic memories
"KONICHIWA MINNASAN!!!!!!!!" everyone in the dinning room looked up to see Sakura Yoake, dragging Tenshi into the dinning room against his wishes. Kuroku sent a sympathetic look towards Tenshi, and had to contain the urge to laugh at the look of contempt etched on the Chouwan's face. Tomoe caught this too, but he was rather annoyed with the fact that the exasperating girl was swooning all over Tenshi, plus, he just plain hated the girl.
"Daddy, I found him" she beamed to the dark haired man; Katsuhiro smiled at his daughter before sitting down at the table. Sakura let go of Tenshi to do the same as her father; the silver haired youth was about to follow suit when he felt someone tap his shoulder. He looked up and saw Tomoe looking at him sternly, before the cold man turned and ushered the younger man to follow. Tenshi obliged and followed the handsome king into the hallway, where he was met with intense ice blue eyes.
"What the hell was that all about Tenshi?" Tomoe asked irate as he pinned the younger boy to the wall. Tenshi's eyes widened at the pressure of Tomoe's hands on his shoulders, before he tried to move away, but to no avail. Tomoe just remained gripping the Chouwan's arms, not caring if he was hurting the dauntless teenager; he could feel the boy's shoulder's tensing beneath his slender digits. Not being able to take anymore, Tenshi roughly shoved the king away and onto the floor; realizing what he had done he knelt down to the taller man.
"Tomoe I'm sorry" he apologized repeatedly expecting a swift punch to the face, but he was never met with one. Tomoe just lied on the elegant carpet and looked up at the ceiling in utter shock //what was that \\ he thought //I've never been knocked down so easily by anyone, especially Tenshi \\. Tomoe slowly sat up and looked the silver haired youth in the eyes. He could see the fear in the boy's eyes and he suddenly felt bad for him, though he chose to ignore the feeling.
"Gomen nasai, Tomoe-san" Tenshi apologized again fearing what the older man might do to him if he wasn't careful, but nothing cam. Tomoe didn't yell or hurt him or anything //what's wrong with him \\ the young Chouwan thought //he's so…quiet \\. Tomoe rose to his feet and offered a hand to the pale boy on the floor; after some hesitation the youth took his hand and stared into the cerulean eyes of the king. "You're not angry at me, are you, Tomoe?" the fair haired youth asked, looking down in shame; the monarch placed his hand on Tenshi's head, "no, of course not" he whispered, "I was hurting you, you had every right to do that".
Tomoe smiled at the Chouwan before turning toward the dinning hall and leaving the perplexed youth all alone. //Hmm, it's so strange how he can act the way he does, I was sure I had seen my end after pulling a stunt like that \\ Tenshi slowly walked in the direction of his king and entered the room. He sat down next to Kuroku and Kaia still in deep thought; it wasn't until he felt a hand on his own did he register where he was. He looked over to Kaia to see that she had a worried look on her face; he only smiled to reassure the azure haired girl.
The evening was fairly eventful, Maika told the group about her upcoming wedding, Katsuhiro regaled the clan with a story, and they found out tomorrow that they would get to see all of Yoake. After hours at the dinning room table, the Taihen rose from their seats simultaneously as did the Yoake and bid the good king farewell as they left to their respected chambers for the night. Kuroku and Katsumi climbed the stairs and entered the lavish room, leaving only Tenshi and Kaia alone. The amber-eyed girl was about to ascend the stairs when she felt a hand over hers on the railing.
"Tenshi?" she asked turning to the young man; his head was lowered, and his eyes were completely covered by his hair, so she couldn't see his face. It was now that Kaia was beginning to worry; normally Tenshi was always either talking or even smiling, but now he was so still, that she reached out to touch him to make sure he was still alive. Her hand stopped when she saw that he was staring at her, as though he could see into her soul, but knowing him as well as she did, she wouldn't doubt if it was true. He continued to gaze at her, his eyes sparkling mysteriously, as if they showed his emotion, which often times they would, "I'm sorry" he whispered.
"What for?" she asked stepping closer to him. "Well, I thought maybe you were upset, or I did something, because you were crying" he simply stated. Kaia immediately went white pale //oh no, he saw that I was crying, I'm such an idiot \\ she screamed in her mind //but, he seems concerned, hmm, he's so sweet \\. Tenshi noticed that Kaia was in her own little world and was smiling at whatever it was she found so interesting. He was completely taken off guard when the exuberant girl embraced him tightly around the waist, "I'm not mad at you Koto" she said looking up at him, "so lighten up a little, and come up to your room" she concluded pulling on his arm.
*In room*
"*Sigh* this brings back a lot of memories, doesn't it Tenshi?" Kaia asked the fair-haired teen. Tenshi smiled at the girl sitting across from him; the two of them were on the floor and Tenshi had cards lain out in front of him. "Yes, remember we used to do this all the time, back when I was…well you know" Tenshi said. Kaia smiled at her friend, "you mean back when you were a little geek" she joked. The Chouwan sent a playful scowl to his childhood friend "you're right, I never had friends, only you and you always helped me when the other kids would try to hurt me" he said looking down at the tarot cards in front of him.
Tenshi went silent for a few minutes //it has been so long since I even remembered those days \\ he thought melancholically //but, Kaia was always there for me \\. He stared at the cards to the point that his eyes began to hurt, though he couldn't turn his eyes away as memories from his past plagued his mind.
*Flash back*
It was insanely bright outside as the sun hung in the summer sky shining it's rays onto everyone, the only way to avoid it was to take shelter under the largest tree you could find. A now ten-year-old boy ran towards the large tree, whose large branches hung over a small pond. The boy, who was at least to small to even appear to be ten, sat on the ground and took out long cards with bizarre images on the front. "Hmm, let's see what my future shows," Tenshi said to no one in particular; the boy had a very light voice, and at times it was almost impossible to hear the little squeak of a voice.
It was at this time that a twelve- year- old boy named Takai approach the small boy, along with two other friends. "Hey there Tenshi, what are you doing?" he older one smirked snatching a few cards up off the ground. Tenshi gasped as Takai ripped on in half and let the two torn pieces float to the ground; the little Chouwan felt tears begin to form as he looked at the precious cards on the grass. //Mama gave me those \\; the boy began to cry as the others started to laugh, they also felt the need to kick the crying child.
"Come on Tenshi, fight back!" one of the others demanded, "yea, you stupid little fuck" another sneered kicking him in the face. Tenshi curled into a ball to avoid the brutal onslaught; he felt someone trying to remove his mother's earrings, that's when he lashed out and kicked one of the boys bringing him to his knees. The other two began to advance on him, "HEY! LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!" someone yelled; everyone turned to see Kaia Ishu standing with her hands on her hips, and glaring daggers at the older boys. Now, everyone knew that Kaia was not one to tangle with, not only was she skilled at archery, but she could be very tough at times, and often beat up a lot of the older boys.
"And what if we don't?" Takai asked approaching the girl slowly, towering over her in the process, but she wasn't fazed even a little, "because if you don't, then I'm going to make you wish that your parents never made the mistake of having you" she growled maliciously. Takai just smirked, "alright, we'll leave, but it's only because there isn't any challenge in beating on Tenshi anymore" he scoffed walking away with his two friends following; Kaia frowned after them //what jerks, picking on Tenshi like that \\ she mused angrily. Kaia turned when she heard a sniffle, and almost cried herself when she saw her best friend; he was cut all over his face and arms, and his left eye was swollen from where the boy had kicked him, and blood could be seen trickling down his forehead.
"Tenshi are you alright?" she asked running to his side; the small boy nodded shakily keeping his eyes downcast. Kaia ran to the pond and ripped one of the sleeves off her dress and dipped it in the cool water. She returned to where Tenshi was situated and gently caressed his face with the dampened cloth, "I'm sorry I wasn't here to help" she said quietly wiping the blood from the boy's face. Tenshi flinched as she pressed on a cut, but he remained still and allowed the azure haired girl help him. "There you go" Kaia said motherly, then sitting next to the fair haired boy, "those guys are such idiots, right Ten?"
The small boy looked down, unmoving, "they are right, I never fight back, and maybe I should" he whispered. This notion frightened Kaia; she had always liked Tenshi for the way he was, he was always so sweet and kind, and never hurt anyone, which is why she liked him so much. "Tenshi, don't say that" she pleaded " I like you because you're you, never change no matter what". Tenshi looked up at her and smiled, then looked out at the water, "you know what? My father said that to me, right before he died" Tenshi said nostalgically. " He said "Tenshi, always remember I love you, and stay the way you are, never let anyone or anything change you", so I guess I'll live up to it" the Chouwan said. He got up and walked to the castle, Kaia got up and ran to her friend, "hey wait up!" she cried.
The two children walked into their home and stopped when they saw Kuroku at the bottom of the stairs, "hello Kuroku" Tenshi said approaching the tall dark skinned man, "what are you doing?" Kuroku smiled at the small boy, "I was looking for you" he said kindly, "I need to talk to you alone". Tenshi nodded in agreement, and Kaia left getting the idea; Tenshi watched as his friend went upstairs before turning to Kuroku, "what did you need to see me for?" he asked, his large owlish eyes blinking in curiosity. Kuroku smiled again and led the boy into a room, "well, I know that today is your tenth birthday, so I wanted to give something to you"
Tenshi eyes gleamed as he saw Kuroku remove something from his tunic; the small boy was ecstatic as the gift was placed in his hand. Tenshi removed the silk wrapping around the present; when it saw off, Tenshi saw that it was a dagger. He removed it from its sheath and was in awe at the silver blade that shined radiantly and also by the amethyst handle. "So, do you like it?" Kuroku asked, but he didn't get a response, instead the little Chouwan jumped up and embraced the man. "I LOVE IT!" he cheered "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!" Kuroku smiled in kind as the little boy stared at the new treasure he was given; he looked up at Kuroku with tears in his eyes. "I'm gonna go show this to Kaia" he said happily, and ran out of the room when he was given permission from the tanned man.
Tenshi bolted up the stairs taking a lot of the lavish furnishings with him and tripping countless times over the carpet, before he finally reached his room and saw Kaia sitting on floor. Tenshi smiled and flopped down in front of her, smiling brightly, "hey, what are you so happy about?" the girl asked. The Chouwan smiled and removed the dagger "THIS!!!" he cheered removing the blade from it's holster; Kaia gasped "wow" she whispered "did Kuroku give you that?". The fair-haired boy nodded his head vigorously; he placed the knife back into its sheath and took his tarot cards from his tunic.
"What are you doing?" Kaia asked curiously; Tenshi looked up from his cards with a serious expression, "well I want to know something" he stated bluntly, which left Kaia even more curious about what her friend was referring to, "um, what do you mean?" she finally asked. Tenshi was silent for a few minutes before locking eyes with the amber-eyed girl, "well it's just that, um, well…I can't tell you!" he said uncertainly. Kaia smiled sympathetically, "oh come on, I won't laugh or anything, if that's what you're scared of?" Tenshi remained silent as though contemplating his next words carefully, "Iie, it's not that at all" he concluded "it's just, I've been getting these strange dreams lately:
"What do you mean your dreams are strange" she asked, "all dreams are odd in their own way Koto"
Tenshi looked up annoyed at the nickname, "well, they are always dark and unpleasant" he stated flatly "and there's a lot of death in them, usually the people who die are-". Tenshi stopped talking, he didn't want to scare Kaia; it was a well-known fact that if you didn't want to know your future, then not to ask Tenshi Hikari to do a reading on you, because those who have, always had their foresight come true. "Who always dies?" Kaia asked; Tenshi smiled and shook his head.
"Sorry" he teased "I can't tell you, it would defeat the whole purpose of having a secret". Kaia scowled at him and crossed her arms "FINE!" she yelled "don't tell me!" Tenshi sat there in disbelief at his friends actions; he watched as Kaia got up and walked to the door, "Um, Kaia-chan?" he said nervously "are you mad at me?" Kaia turned from the door with a grin plastered on her face, "no, of course I'm not…Koto" she said giggling before leaving the room. Tenshi stared at the door for a few seconds before falling back //*sigh* she is so strange, but she's always been there for me \\ he thought //but I'm so worried if anything will happen to her…I can only hope she is alright \\
*End flashback*
"Tenshi? Hey Tenshi!" the Chouwan blinked and focused his eyes on Kaia "are you okay? You just stopped moving and talking all together". Tenshi nodded and placed more cards on the floor; he placed a card face up and his eyes went wide at what he saw //the death card! \\ he looked at Kaia, she didn't even know what it meant. Tenshi looked at the deck in his hand //the next card will tell me who is to die \\ he thought sadly before removing the long card //WHAT!? It's blank \\. He felt knots in his stomach at the thought that anyone he knew would be subjected to either be hurt severely or killed.
"Are you alright Tenshi?" Kaia asked concerned for the fair-haired youth; but instead of scaring the girl he simply nodded and smiled, putting up a façade as to not worry her or the others for that matter. Tenshi sighed quietly and got up off the floor, cards in hand; he journeyed to the table and sat down, taking a piece of paper and a writing quill, he began to write a letter to Kodoku and Hitomi.
"What are you doing now?" Kaia asked sitting across from him, trying to snatch the paper from him, "who you writing to?" He gave her an annoyed look and she got the hint; she left him with his musings and proceeded to find someone else to talk to. Tenshi gave a sigh as the girl left, before returning his attention back on the letter at hand, "I know its only been a day, but I have to tell someone about all of this" he said to no one in particular. He slowly began to write, afraid that if he wrote Tomoe's request of him to someone else, that he would sure be in danger, but he shrugged it off and started to write.
Dear Kodoku and Hitomi,
I know its only been a day, but I had to tell someone, and I thought it best to tell two people besides Kaia and Kuroku that I could trust. I know that you two may respect Tomoe, but I needed to tell you something; he asked me to kill Yoake two weeks from now, can you believe that, and on the night that Maika gets married. To be completely honest, I don't know if I can go through with this. I met Katsuhiro and his family and they are so nice I cannot bring myself to harm them…I don't really know what I will do, and frankly I'm scared.
Well, I'm sure that if you were in my position you wouldn't be able to go through with it either. So, on the lighter side, how is everyone in Rokushin? How are you feeling now Hitomi, I hope that you can still see. Tomorrow should be productive, Katsuhiro will be taking us around the place, so I can see if I can find any other Chouwans or even different people. It would be great if I could meet anyone, maybe even find someone like a girl or anyone, wouldn't that be something to see.
Well, I hope within the next two weeks you will not forget me, and I will speak to you all later.
Love,
Tenshi Hikari
Tenshi sat back and surveyed his letter; he gave it an odd look before going across the room to retrieve a candle. When he returned to the table he looked down at the letter in contempt, "wow, I can't even read my own writing" he jested turning it over to examine it better "maybe if they held it like this…ahaha maybe not". Tenshi picked up the candle and allowed the wax to drip on the folded letter; he quickly ran to his satchel to get a stamp before the wax cooled. He pressed the wax down and made his mark; he star3ed at the candle odd fascination "I wonder how hot wax can get" he said aloud picking the candle up and dripping a little bit on his hand.
"AHH SON OF A BITCH!!!" he began hastily trying to remove the searing liquid from his hand. After about three minutes of freaking out, he was seated on the floor with his hand in his mouth trying to get it to stop burning, "why am I such a baka sometimes?" he mumbled to himself. Tenshi sat there for a few more minutes and heard a knock at the door, "come in" he said though he was still basically chewing on his hand. The door opened, Kuroku walked in followed by Kaia.
"What are you doing?" Kuroku asked sitting down at the table, "you were making a lot of noise up here. Tenshi looked over at the table and noticed Kuroku's hand on the letter; not wanting the letter to be seen by anyone, except it's owner, he rushed to the table and grabbed the folded paper. Kuroku gave him an odd look, but decided not to press the issue; he had known Tenshi since he was a small child and being strange was just one of the boy's many qualities.
"Alright" Kuroku said looking around the room; Tenshi sighed inwardly, he didn't want Kuroku to know about the planned murder. For years Tenshi had looked up to Kuroku and everything he had done for the people since the day his mentor found him; he treated Tenshi like a son, and always protected him, even if it meant disobeying Tomoe. It was these facts that Tenshi didn't want the great man to know what he had to do, in fear that he would be rejected. Relinquishing these thoughts, Tenshi walked over to the small cage that held the carrier dove that Kodoku had given him; he slowly took the creature onto his hand and wrapped the letter around the bird's body.
Tenshi walked to the balcony with the little avis perched on his hand, "now, go, fly to Kodoku" he told his little friend. The dove ruffled her feathers and flew away into the direction of Rokushin //I hope she gets there safely \\ he thought before turning his attention to the other occupants of the room. "So, are you all ready for tomorrow?" Tenshi asked removing his tunic and tossing it carelessly on the chair. Kaia averted her gaze from the young man, //great, he just had to do that \\ she thought, she could feel warmth in her cheeks and was about to leave when Tenshi asked her a question, "what?" she asked.
"I was asking if you were all right, you look a little flushed," he concluded before sitting down on the bed. Kaia shook her head and asked to be excused, leaving Tenshi and Kuroku alone. Tenshi sighed and lied back, "what was all that about" Kuroku asked; Tenshi only sighed louder before rolling over to face Kuroku, "It's nothing Otousan" Tenshi told the tanned man, then paused "I don't want to seem rude, but could you possibly go?" Kuroku smiled and left without a word, in all the years he had known Tenshi he had never known the boy to act like that way, especially to him of all people.
Back in the room, Tenshi was having a hard time shaking off the horrible dread that was plaguing him. He had not felt this bad since he was a child, all the memories of another "mission" he had to do had begun to come back to him, "I thought they had disappeared" he whispered, snuffing out the candle next to him ["KUROKU!"] Tenshi held his head as the suppressed memories began to rise in his subconscious ["It will be all right Tenshi, you did what you had to do"].
_
Tenshi opened his eyes and looked around; light bathed the entire room, and the sounds of birds chirping could be heard. He sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, //what happened? I don't remember how I got here \\ he thought swinging his legs over to the side of the bed and standing up. He slowly walked over to the chest that held his clothes; he was still trying to figure out what had happened and why he had no recollection of last night. Once fully clothed in a dark purple tunic, gray pants and boots, he walked to the mirror, which is when he noticed the small cage void of its owner.
"I must have sent the letter" he said to himself while looking out the window; "sent the letter to whom?" a voice asked behind him. Tenshi cringed at the all too familiar voice and slowly turned with a smile on his face, "Ohayo Sakura-san" he said trying his best not to be rude. Sakura huffed and stomped over to him "You know!" she yelled, " I don't like people who lie to me!" Tenshi nodded to show he understood what the shrill girl was talking about //how annoying can one person be? \\ he thought to himself.
"HEY! Are you listening!?" the girl asked smacking him across the head. Tenshi scowled at Sakura, "YES I WAS!" he yelled back. Sakura crossed her arms over her chest and averted her gaze from him "don't speak to me in such a manner or I'll tell my father" she warned. Knowing that there was no way of arguing with the exasperating girl, he simply apologized and made his way to the door. He suddenly felt an arm wrap around his; he looked down to see Sakura holding onto him.
"What are you doing?" Tenshi asked, a little curious to the fact she was being a little odd, even for her. Sakura simply huffed at him and dragged the poor teen out of the room //-_-` what did I do to deserve this? \\ he thought as he was brought into the dinning hall again //wow, this seems familiar \\. Katsuhiro sent a confused look in Sakura's direction, he had a hard time figuring out why she had become so interested in the young man, but he kept his questions to himself, he would just ask her later.
Breakfast was eaten in silence, the only contact made between the large gathering was requests for a drink or to wonder if the eggs were fresh. All through the meal, Tenshi was being given death glares by Sakura, which oddly enough went unnoticed by everyone, //what did I do to piss her off so much? \\ Tenshi asked himself trying to avoid eye contact with the harsh young girl //oh gods stop looking at me!!! \\ his mind yelled.
Once breakfast was over, the large group readied themselves and left the castle to explore the outer terrain. Upon seeing the kingdom in broad daylight, Tenshi and the others were in awe at all the sites, "Wow, this place is nicer then Rokushin" Kaia whispered to Tenshi; he only nodded in agreement, he was checking out all the people to find any sign of someone like him. Tenshi wasn't listening as Katsuhiro began to talk about the area and all the significant places, he was looking over at a group of kids that looked like they were kicking something.
Not thinking twice he went over and gasped at what he saw, five young boys were kicking what looked like a small girl, "HEY! STOP THAT!!!" he yelled. All the children looked up and ran away from the Chouwan, "little bastards" he said before crouching down to the form on the ground. "Hey, are you alright?" he asked poking the body slightly; the person moved and lifted up it's head to look at it's savior. Tenshi stared into the large blue eyes of what looked like a humanized cat, "kakkoii" he whispered looking at the creature, which cowered away from him, "oh, I won't hurt you " he promised.
Tenshi stood up and offered his hand to the cat girl, which she reluctantly accepted, "t-thank you" she whispered, her eyes downcast; she was a little puzzled at why this strange man would want to help her, so trusting her judgment she approached him cautiously. "Why are you not disgusted by me?" she asked him, trembling slightly; Tenshi smiled at her, "why would I be, you seem like a good person" he stated looking over to where Kaia was now arguing with Sakura. //She's going to lose that argument \\ he thought, then turned his attention to the girl.
"Hey, what's your name?" he asked her; she hesitated before answering, "My name is Nami" she answered "I'm 14 years old, um, how about you?" Tenshi laughed and took her hand "my name is Tenshi Hikari and I'm 17 years young" he replied emphasizing the young part, which got a smile from the young girl. Tenshi looked back at the group and noticed that Kaia was trying to attack Sakura but was being held back by Kuroku and her father. Averting his gaze back to Nami, he noticed that she was giggling softly at the two other girls, "hey Nami" he asked, "where are your parents?"
"They're dead" she stated bluntly; Tenshi heard the girl sniffle, he felt bad knowing full well what the answer was to his prior question, "I'm sorry Nami, I didn't mean to upset you" he said, ashamed that he could be such a fool at times. Nami looked up at him and saw that he was genuinely remorseful for her and the predicament she was in. "It's alright" she clarified for the older teen, "I'm just a little surprised that you cared about my feelings…thank you".
"You're welcome, now, do you live with anyone?" he asked the cat girl; she stood there and shook her head sadly, "no, I have no one" she replied sadly wiping tears away. Understanding what the girl was going through, Tenshi came to a conclusion "then come with me" he offered smiling brightly and offering his arm, "come on". Nami jumped into Tenshi's arms and wrapped her arms around his neck, "ALRIGHT LET'S GO!!!" she hooted still in his arms. Tenshi laughed and placed her on the ground; he motioned for her to follow him. When they finally met up with Tomoe and the others, they looked at the cat girl oddly, but decided not to question it.
It had been another hour of mindless wondering and pointless chatter, until the gang stopped to watch some street performers. It wasn't too bad, there was a woman who made one of the men disappear and a man who could swallow swords as well as a magician that was obviously in the act with the woman. //I guess they're not so bad \\ Tenshi thought, while observing the gypsies; he looked to his left when he saw a man around the same age as himself stand behind a tall burly man. "What is he doing?" Tenshi whispered to no one; Nami hearing this turned to see where her savoir was looking. She saw him too; the young man carefully, yet quickly placed his hand into the man's tunic pocket and pulled out his wallet.
Tenshi turned around when the pickpocket moved to his next mark, a woman with her small child, //He wouldn't \\ Tenshi thought enraged. Unfortunately the youth robbed the woman as well; again Tenshi looked away and pulled Nami's gaze away as well, "What are-" she began but Tenshi cut her off by shushing her. It was about a minute later that Tenshi sensed the pillager come up behind him and even felt when the thief placed his hand in Tenshi's pocket. Not wasting time Tenshi turned and grabbed the stranger's hand, it was then that he noticed that the thief was cloaked, but something about his eyes left Tenshi stunned. The stranger pulled his arm away from the Chouwan and bolted to the castle gates; finally regaining his senses Tenshi followed after him.
"HEY! COME BACK HERE!!!" Tenshi commanded watching as the other man ran out the gates; knowing full well that he could not catch the other on foot, he ripped off his tunic and spread out his wings then took to the sky. Meanwhile the thief looked back to see that Tenshi was gone; smirking to himself he moved around and stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Tenshi, wings out and standing not even three feet from him //how the hell did he do that? \\ the pillager thought stepping back. Tenshi's wings materialized behind him, and he took a step forward, keeping a safe distance between himself and the stranger.
"Give back what ever it was that you stole from those people" Tenshi asked, his voice full of malice, which only caused the thief to laugh at him, "no: was the stranger's answer. Tenshi ran at the other man and knocked him to the ground in a desperate attempt to retrieve the stolen money, "HEY GET OFF OF ME!!!" the cloaked youth yelled trying to pry Tenshi's hands off his neck. Becoming more pissed off, the cloaked teen threw Tenshi off of him, but the cloak went with the Chouwan.
Tenshi looked up and saw the stranger's face, he was sure his mouth was hanging open as he stared at the teenager in front of him. It was he, the same short black hair, the same lightly tanned skin, and the same emerald green eyes, it was him, "yang?" Tenshi whispered looking at the raven-haired youth in awe, "it can't be, you were in my dream" he concluded. The thief raised his eyebrow in confusion, "what the shit are you talking about?" the dark haired youth looked at him strangely before removing the wallets he had stolen and throwing them to Tenshi's feet, "there, now leave me be" he said before disappearing into the forest.
//It can't be him \\ Tenshi thought picking up the wallets and looking in the direction of the retreating figure. //Can it really be you? \\ he thought again; his thoughts were cut short when he heard voices yelling to him. He turned to see Kuroku, Nami, and Kaia running to him, "Tenshi what happened?" Kuroku asked, "who was that?" Kaia asked. Tenshi looked into the direction of the forest, where the strange youth disappeared.
"I don't know Kaia" he said, "but I will find out, and then I will have the answers I need". He took one final look at the forest before heading back to the castle gates //there is an important matter here \\ he mused //If he is real, then maybe all the other dreams I've been having will come true as well…..if so I fear for this world and all its inhabitants, because the darkness is coming, I can sense it \\
