You think this is a game, well it isn't. And you'd be a fool to think so. Each elite assassin risks his or her life on a daily basis. They risk being found out, seeked and destroyed. A few of my elite assassins have died by the hands of police for their refusal of being put in jail; others have been targeted by other assassin republics all situated around the world. This story is true and unlike others these are teenagers on the brink of adulthood. This story is about love, betrayal, loss, friendship and denial. So I hope you're ready.
Deadly Liaisons
Chapter One: Promises
Gee, a first chapter is sure hard to make. First it's like how do you start? I guess I started off with a beating scene cuz it was the first thing that popped into my head. And we get to meet Silver too! The prologue should've described him and shown you his age. So adios! (I think it says good bye, but anyway on with the story!)
Seth cried out in pain as his father's hard fist came in contact with his stomach causing him to double over. He bit his lip so hard blood began to dribble down his chin. He tried to slow his breathing until his father kicked him in the back. He rolled onto his stomach, tears rolled down his cheeks as his father continued to hit him.
“Seth!” Magara ran towards him. He saw the pained look on her face as she leaned on one knee. That was just before he passed out.

He slid his eyes open as the sound of his alarm clock reached his ears. He turned over in bed as the pain of his back jolted through him like lightening. He bit his lip trying to relax his body again. The doctor had said he should stay in bed for a few days and that he was lucky he didn't break any bones.
Seth had seen the look on Magara's face as she was forced to lie. He swallowed as memories of what his father had said to him drifted through his head.
`He fell down the stairs after he tripped over a crease in the rug. I'm so sorry I didn't call you sooner.'
He growled at the though of the wicked man. He hated him with all his being, he hated him for everything. For the foul mouthed bastard he was. He clenched his fists. It took everything thing he had to keep him from jumping out of bed and going to his father's room to beat the shit out of him.
“Father, I hate you so much.” He whispered closing his eyes as he fell back to sleep.

“Magara, you know your place so stay in it!” Mr. Ribbon yelled at his maid as she continued her babbling. He growled slamming his fist onto his desk. She stopped right away. “It is not your place to be mothering Seth.”
“Master, I do not support your sadistic viewings on what's the right way to punish him!” She argued angrily. “If you were his father you'd be a little more considerate on how your son's feeling!”
“Why, he's not even mine!”
Magara looked down as tears came to her eyes. She turned around. “But he was your wife's and she was a kind woman. Don't you want to honour her with taking care of her son the right way?”
“No, she was unfaithful.”
She growled. “My sister was always faithful to you; I think it was you who was not faithful!”
“Magara shut up or you will be fired.”
She narrowed her eyes at him. “Your day will come and you will die in the hands of the least expected.” She turned on her heel and walked out the door leaving the man to contemplate her words.
Not even a few minutes late someone knocked on the door.
“Come in.” Mr. Ribbon greeted as Silver walked in. “Oh, hey Sly.” He smiled as Silver sat down on the chair in front of him. “So how are you doing?” he asked.
“Fine sir, how about you?” He smiled in his usual way, one side higher than the other. His baby blue eyes flashed with something other than kindness.
“Fine, fine.”
“How's Seth?”
Mr. Ribbon snapped his eyes on Silver. “He's great, he's healing faster than usual I'd have to say.” He answered cautiously. He knew that Silver was overly protective of Seth and he also knew that Silver had notoriously shot a man to death for insulting and hitting a woman he fancied.
“So you say he fell down the stairs.” Mr. Ribbon nodded, and he frowned. “I sure hope he didn't break any bones.”
“No, he was lucky I guess.”
Silver looked at his watch. “So how long do you think it is before he's back up on his feet?”
“At least by this Saturday.” He answered feeling more easy now that the subject was coming to an end. “So how's Mrs. Masque?”
“Ma's fine . . .” He answered offhandedly. “Why are you trying to switch the subject?”
Mr. Ribbon gulped under the strain of the question. “Mr. Masque Seth is ready to see you now.” Fernando came into the room.
“Ah, yes.” Silver got up and walked over to the door. “I look forward to talking to you again Mr. Ribbon.” He smiled and walked out the door allowing Fernando to close it behind him.
He let out a deep breathe as he was free of Silver's presence. “That boy's beyond his years in intimidation.”

Silver followed Fernando to Seth's room at the top of the stairs towards the fork and a left turn. He hated the fact that Seth's room had to be nearly at the end of the damn hall. It took him so long to just get up those stairs. Finally they reached the room. The door was closed tightly and as he pushed it open he was blasted with a heavy cold chill.
`I had no idea she'd come and watch over him.' He thought vaguely as he went to sit next to the young but rough looking boy. His hands were clenched at his sides and his eyes were closed purposely. When Silver brought his hand gently to the boys cheek he flinched. “It's okay Seth, I'm not your Dad.”
Seth slowly opened his eyes and looked over at the smiling brown haired man beside him. He gulped. “Oh.”
“It's okay; I know how your Father is with you.”
“Than why don't you just assign me to him already?” Seth snapped glaring at the still smiling man. He was angered with the way Silver continued to chastise him for being too merciful to his victims.
“It's not the right time yet, and besides we don't even have enough proof . . .”
“Fuck you Sly! You know I'm not lying to you!” He continued to yell and curse at him before Silver let his smile slip and he stared angrily at the boy.
“I don't think it's the right time, I didn't say I didn't believe you!” This side of Silver shut Seth right up as he stared angrily and forcefully at the older man. “Please Seth, when the time is right have fun and make your revenge last.”
Seth nodded taking a deep breathe. He never liked to admit that Silver was always right. The longer he waited the more anger and hatred would be built inside of him and the revenge would give him more pride that he rid the world of such a despicable businessman. He hated Alexandros to hell and back. More than he even knew.
