"NOOOO!" she screamed as she sat up in her bed. But it was just her. Raven got up out of her bed and looked around. There was nothing but her and her dark and somewhat creepy room.
"I really need to redecorate in her" she said as she calmed herself down. She was a girl of strong emotions but she was able to calm herself down quickly when need be. She then walked over to her meditation circle and sat down with her legs crossed elevated about 2 feet off the floor.
"I hate having an overactive thought process" she thought to herself. The dream repeated over and over in her mind. The image of the accident, the image of the boy who sacrificed himself to get her and her guardian out of the car.
She opened up her eyes and looked at the clock, 4:27 A.M.
"Great" she said sarcastically. "Well I'm not going to sleep so I guess it's time for breakfeast" she said as she got up and out into the hallway. It was cool in the hallway as she made her way to the kitchen.
She walked into the kitchen and fired up the stove and started cooking eggs. She then walked over to the large windows and looked over the sea and the city.
"This is the fourth time this week you've woken up this early, and it's only Thursday" a familar voice said from behind her.
"What are you my stalker now"? Raven asked sarcastically.
"Just a concerned friend" Robin said walkng out of the darkness.
"Well it's kinda creepy now" Raven said staring off into the sky.
"Are you sure nothings wrong"? Robin asked.
"Yes I am" she said sternly.
"Well when your done your eggs caught fire 30 seconds ago" Robin said as he walked back to his room. She turned around to see that he wasn't kidding. She used her magic and blocked out all the oxygen and the fire went out. She threw the charred remains into the garbage and the pan in the sink as she threw a Hot Pocket in the microwave and made a batch of coffee.
She then walked back over to the windows and stared out again. This time it wasn't dark anymore. The sun had not yet risen but the light from it could be seen spreading across the sky. She had watched these sunrises for sometime now. It helped her to forget the dark night and see the new day that presented itself.
"Another nights come and goes yet I remain her, I wish i could of helped you in some way" She thought to herself. "Today I will go see him" She said quietly to herself.
"May I see this person with you"? A soft voice said from behind.
"Looks like everyone is stalking me today" Raven said as she turned around to see Starfire.
"Robin woke me up when he walked pass my room and i overheard him speaking with you" she said
"Oh I see" Raven said still staring off into the sky.
"I am your friend and wish to do this activity of meeting people with you" she said in her usual nieve and inquisitive tone.
"I appreciate the concern but i'd rather go alone" Raven said taking her hood down.
"As you wish" Starfire said as she stared off into the sky with Raven. They both then sat down on the the couch and began to watch the sunrise and both sat there sipping on their coffee.
"It's really relaxing isn't it"? Raven said taking a sip of her coffee.
"Yes, it reminds me of the sleeping Grandorf, very quiet and peaceful" Star said pouring massive amounts of sugar in her coffee.
"I have no idea what a Grandorf is" Raven said jokingly.
"I don't expect you too" Star said smiling back. Raven then caught on to the massive amounts of sugar in Starfire's coffee.
"Would you like some coffee with that sugar"? Raven asked sarcastically looking Starfire's coffee.
"I very much like the taste of this sugar" She said smiling as she took a sip.
"I can see that" Raven said smiling as she continued to stare out into the horizon.
"We should this relaxation activity more often" Starfire said tilting her head back.
"Yea" Raven said. The sun had now risen into the sky and the city began to light up and they could tell by the lack of clouds that today was going to be another hot summer day. They sat up talking for a few more hours about anything that came mind.
"Hey bums it's quarter to 9 and we're going to the doughnut shop, you coming"? Cyborg asked as he walked into the kitchen. They both looked at eachother and nodded.
"Another day, another trip to the doughnut shop" Raven thought to herself.
