Fan Fiction ❯ Destined Romance ❯ Chapter 1
Razoru sat inside the dojo, awaiting his sparring partner. He twirled some kunai around, tossing them in the air and such.
"Urgh. Where is he?" he mumbled to himself.
"Right here," said a clear voice. A dark shape dislodged itself from the gloom of the ceiling and dropped lightly to the ground, staff in hand and daggers tucked into his sash.
" Are you ready?" he asked, eyes flashing, looking forever like two chips of ice.
"Am I ready? Hah!"
He leapt up from the floor, and spun through the air, throwing wooden kunai.
"Fubuki no Kunai!" he yelled.
As he landed he rushed towards Shinzu, his sparring partner.
Shinzu sidestepped as the wooden kunai flash past, clattering against the far wall. He watched calmly until Razoru was mere feet away, and then he spun around raising his leg into a vicious roundhouse kick, catching Razoru in the leg, and, leaping back in the same instant, out of the way of a counter-attack.
As he fell onto one knee, Razoru flung himself towards Shinzu, grabbing one of his legs with a hand. Razoru snatched a fallen kunai off the ground and bolted straight up.
"Checkmate." he said, as put the kunai to Shinzu's throat.
Shinzu looked at him strangely and pressed a knife against Razoru's ribs. He had concealed a dagger in the sleeve of his gi after attacking Razoru with the roundhouse. Breathing slightly hard, Shinzu said, " Actually, I'd call it stalemate!"
Razoru stifled a gasp as he felt the knife against his ribs.
"Yes. It would appear that way, wouldn't it?"
He backed off, toward the sliding door of the dojo.
"We're done. Until we meet again."
He disappeared out of the dojo, into the night's darkness, and all that could be seen was a pair of red eyes glowing and moving away.
A girl had been watching from the darkness of a corner and was amused at their little show. She smirked as she walked out calmly to find her revelry elsewhere.
* * *
The same girl started to ready herself for her long climb to the top of the mountain, several hours later.
She spoke to herself.
"Okay... Lets see now, got it, check, attached and good."
She ticked things off as she secures them to her pack and began to climb without use of restraint, net, or rope.
A figure stood at the bottom of the hill.
"Hey, up there, girl! Are you sure you can climb that?" he asked, as he surely is.
She managed to come to a part of the crag that juts out, and swung her body around to have her back against it while she could look down at the caller.
"Yes! I've done this many times before in my hometown, thank you very much. Would you care to climb up and talk so we need not yell?"
She smiled, her fatigue only vaguely starting to strain her arms, as she was hanging by them only.
"Yeah, sure." muttered the boy, as he leapt up to her level.
"Climbing... who needs it?" he asked, grinning.
Standing up, he dusted himself off.
"Razoru. My name is Razoru." he said, with a bow.
"Well, if you are standing on that ledge, could you give me a hand?"
He gets her up.
"Thanks. And it promotes strength of will and it's good exercise. I find it invigorating."
The girl grins.
"I'm Kairi."
"Well, all right then," Razoru said with a grin, "Whatever suits your... fancy."
Cocking his head, he looked out towards the forest below the mountains.
Raising an eyebrow, he looked deep into the forest.
"Did you just...?" Razoru started to say, but stopped, pulling out a few shurikens.
"I thought I just saw..."
He started to walk to the edge of the cliff.
"Erm... What are you doing?"
Kairi looked at him, putting her hand on her bow.
"Honestly... Men... Can't keep a one-track mind..."
"Well, I'm continuing my climb. Nice meeting you. You know where I am if you need me."
She grinned at him and started to climb up again.
Not wanting to leave this catch, Razoru climbed after her.
"Nah, it was probably nothing." he said with a grin.
Looking up, he swore to himself.
'Wow... What a catch, what a catch.' he thought to himself, smirking.
"So... You decided to follow me. Any reason?" Kairi said, grinning down at the boy.
"Hey!" she calls down at him, "Just a question, but do you like staring at my ass?"
Falling off the cliff ledge, Razoru landed with a resounding... *thump* on his back.
"I-I-I-I... Yes. Yes I do," he said, finally, jumping to a stand, and nodding his head solemnly.
He began the climb to her level.
"Nice view..."
He paused.
"Of the mountain I mean, of the mountain," he said, reaching her level.
Kairi reached an outing and climbed over to sit on it waiting for him.
She laughed merrily.
"Thank you. I try. And, yes it is. May I ask you a question or two? Well, two more now. How old are you, and do you have any serious relations?"
She looked at him with her dark eyes.
Climbing up to the outing, Razoru sat down next to this... Kairi girl.
"Err.... Does it really matter?" the nervous kid asked.
"For either?"
"No. Not really."
She looked at him for a moment, then reached into her pack and grabbed two drinks.
"Want one?" Kairi asks her companion.
"Yeah, sure." Razoru said, taking one of the drinks and tipping it back.
"Ahh... Refreshing." he said with a grin.
Kairi rolled her eyes then turned her attention out to the forest. She sighed and leaned back against the rocks, looking at the sunset.
"What? What?" Razoru asked, laughing.
He looked at the sunset as well, thinking to himself.
Wow... Either I'm really good at acting or older or... yeah...! Wow! This is GREAT!
The girl looked over at him.
"Now, are you going to answer me? How old are you?" Kairi asked, grinning at him.
His grin turned upside-down.
"Well," Razoru said, an arm behind his head, "I'm... Well... 16."
He stood up, and walked to the edge of the cliff.
"If you want me to go... I will."
She laughs.
"No, not at all! I was just curious. I am only seventeen. Sit down and watch the sunset. That's why I come out here. Wait for the sun to duck just behind those trees. You'll regret it if you miss it."
Razoru sat down on the edge of the cliff, looking out towards the sun.
"Wow! You're right!" he said, grinning.
"I wouldn't miss this for the world."
Kairi sat back and continued to watch the sun set.
Razoru moved closer to the girl, grinning, as he watched the sun.
She noticed his advance and grinned, as the sun started to set lower.
Razoru grinned, and looked down the cliff. He saw the rocks, and some cacti.
"Far drop. It'd probably hurt, right?" he asked, gazing down.
She drawled over to the edge and looked down, lying on her stomach.
"Yep. It sure it.... Hm..... I would not like that at all."
Razoru grinned.
He slid off the ledge, down the side of the cliff, and kicked off of it, flying through the air.
"Yeehaa!" he yelled, gliding on the wind.
Razoru landed with a *SLAM* on the ground, away from the cliff.
He stood up from his crouched landing position and dusted himself off.
Grinning, he looked up the cliff, towards the girl.
She looked at him, not sure whether to be turned off or to just cock her head to the side and scratch it for good measure.
She did the latter and laughed at him.
"Are you alright?" Kairi called down.
"Yeah. I'm great." Razoru called back up, grinning.
"C'mon! The ground is soft when you land." he said, motioning for her to follow him.
"Alright...." she mumbled.
The girl grabbed her stuff and followed his lead, landing in a sort of squatting method, putting pressure on her knees.
Wincing, she nods.
"Yeah, sure.... Whatever....."
His face went blank.
"Are... You alright?" Razoru asked, regretting it the minute the words escaped his lips.
She brought herself up into a standing position.
"Yes, I am. Thank you though."
Kairi gave him a curt smile and sighed, thinking one day she will finish tackling the mountain.
She looked up at it one last time then turned around to walk to the market place to get something to eat other than some power rations.
"Getting some food. I'll be back quickly." Kairi said, walking away.
Razoru turned to follow her, but decided against it, and, instead, retreated under the shelter of a large outcropping in the cliff.
* * *
Kairi approached the quiet food stand, ordered four rice balls and two plates of some fried bread she saw as well as two containers of sake.
She paid the man, and started her walk back.
* * *
It had begun to pour rain, and Kairi was soaked by the time she got back to the mountain.
The downpour was so heavy, she could hardly see the outcropping where he camped down at.
After several minutes of looking, she finally found it and ran over to it, sheltering the food with her body and ducked in with him.
Kairi sets the food down and shook her head, hair flinging water all over him.
"Hi!" she says cheerfully.
Seeing her come in from the rain, Razoru offered his thick coat as a blanket.
"Hi again. What'd you get?" he asked, looking at the food.
She took the jacket with a "Thanks." and smiled at him warmly.
"From a village vendor."
She grins.
"Enjoy!"
"Erm... I asked what... Are you sure you didn't get too much rain in your ears?" Razoru asked, laughing.
"Sorry," she giggled, "I suppose I did. Four Rice balls, some fried bread and two containers of sake."
Eyes wide at the mention of sake, Razoru grinned.
I've never had sake before... I wonder if she has...?
He started with a rice ball, whipping out his ever-present chopsticks, and nibbled on one for a bit.
"Mmm... Vendor, right? Good food..." he mumbled.
Kairi grinned at him and used her chop sticks to put her hair up. She just bit the rice ball as it was.
"You know, you don't have to be formal in here, it's just us, and I'm not going to say a word if you don't use them."
She laughed, sipping her sake a bit, letting the sweet yet salty flavour wash over her tongue.
Razoru nodded, and gobbled the rice ball down.
Next, he put an eye to the sake.
Morality, no morality.
"Screw it." Razoru muttered, and reached for the sake.
He tipped the bamboo cup back, drowning his morality in the sweet sorrow of alcohol.
Kairi giggled.
"I might want to warn you about the burning it will cause after you drink it that fast..."
She took another bite of her rice ball.
He didn't seem to notice the searing pains as his mind flashed past the images of his dead parents, his first cut, his first kiss... and so many other memories. And they all disappeared with one drop of the drink.
Taking another cupful of the sake, Razoru tipped it up. His face went grim, and he downed the cup in a single gulp. Razoru zoned out, his eyes piercing the rain like an arrow to a deer.
"What is up with you?"
Kairi had been watching him with a puzzled look. She waved her hand in front of his eyes and whistled.
"Hello? Earth to Razoru...Come in Razoru....."
"...in Razoru...."
Suddenly, his eyes snapped forward, and he turned back into the makeshift camp.
"Sorry." is what he tried to say, but it turned out "Sth-sth-sthorriee..."
"Are you cold? Or have you just had too much sake for one night?"
"N..no.. I'm f-iiiiine..."
With that sentence, Razoru literally fell asleep on the stone flooring of the tiny alcove.
His light breathing and shifting eyes indicated bad dreams.
Kairi smiled and sighed....
'That's the way to do it girl. Make him pass out before you can do anything..... oh well.....'
She put the makeshift blanket over him and made ready for the night, pulling her wet cloak about her and, shivering, fell asleep a bit later.
* * *
When Kairi awoke, Razoru lay upon the ground, curled up, but awake. He had lain his coat over top of Kairi while she slept.
"Morning." he said, grinning.
She blinked up at him, a lazy and cat-like smile on her lips.
"Good morning..."
Kairi made to sit up, but noticed that the front of her tunic came loose during the night. She blushed and turned away to tie it back. She faced him once more, gripping his coat.
"Thank you..." she says.
Attempting to remain gentlemanly, Razoru tried to avert his eyes, but failed miserably. It had just never been so… perfectly presented. Realizing what he was doing, Razoru looked away, at the ground, his face red.
"Err... How'd you sleep?" he asked, yawning.
"Okay, and yourself? I must admit, I was torn from your pleasant comapny quite early yesterday..."
She cocked her head and listened…
"It's still raining..."
Her voice held a bit of disappointment.
"We'll never get out of here at this rate.. It's murder to walk out in it, and suicide if you stay in it."
"Er... yeah.. About yesterday... Sorry about that," Razoru said, his face even redder, "But I have never had sake before..."
He stood up, stretching, his eyes glowing red.
"Then it's good that you drank it first with me, as I never over drink with that stuff and I am not one to take advantage of others when something like that happens. Don't worry about it."
Kairi smiled sweetly at him.
"So... nothing happened, right?" he asked, unsure of what to say.
"Other than the fact that I undressed you quite ruthlessly and raped you until morning came and you were about to wake up, no. Not at all."
Her grin became larger.
"Of course not."
"Oh... ok.... That's good.... Isn't it?" he asked, more to reassure himself than anything.
"But... what do we do... now?"
Razoru walked over to Kairi, and extended his hand to get her up.
"I don't know... Whatever you would care to. I just don't have a keenness about running around in that cold rain..."
She took his hand and stood up.
He let go, reluctantly, of her hand, and stared outside.
"Not really much to do..." Razoru said, thinking.
"We could... nah... How about... nah... Oh! No, I already thought of that one... I'm empty!" he said, tipping his head to the side and tapping the opposite ear.
Kairi giggled.
"What about one of those that you said no to... What are they? I'm open to whatever you want to do! Really, I'm bored and tired of being cooped up... Lets do something already…!"
"Errmmm... You wouldn't like the ideas." Razoru said, nervous.
"Try me.…" Kairi says, matter-of-factly.
"Well, the first and third ones were we could play cards, but then I remembered that we don't have any cards (I went through your pack at night) *grin* and the second one was..." he cut off short and kissed her fully on the lips.
Kairi's eyes widened in shock and she smiled into his mouth, kissing him back, her arms snaking around his neck and tiptoeing up to meet him better.
He fully embraced her, his arms sliding around her waist, pulling her tighter to him.
The girl moaned, and kissed him, her tongue teasing his lips open to probe for his own.
His eyes widened at this unexpected turn of events, but Razoru embraced it fully after the sensation ran over him.
She pulled back and stared in his eyes.
"How is it, that I can feel this way about you when I have only known you for little a time. What spell have you cast on me? I care not....."
She kissed his lips lightly again.
"I-"
Razoru was cut off by her kiss, which he returned.
He gazed into her eyes, and swept her into another full embrace.
Kairi held onto him, her hands twirling his hair, her mouth on his. She moans into his mouth wanting everything. She pulled back suddenly, when she heard him try to speak.
"Yes, Razoru?"
She caught her breath, her eyes fixed on his.
"It... was nothing." Razoru said, pulling Kairi closer for another deep kiss, their tongues twisting together like two snakes wrapping around a tree.
She smiled, tasting the sugary aftertaste of their late meal.
"Mmmm…"
Kairi's hands twined in his hair, and she pushed up to meet him.
Razoru grinned at Kairi.
He helped pull her up towards him, and kissed her harder, lifting her off her feet.
"Razoru... I...."
Kairi pulled back just enough to say that, but then hooked her legs around his waist and held onto his shoulders, kissing him again.
Razoru tried to grin, and pushed Kairi against the cliff wall. He kissed her, and then released, kissing her neck.
She gasped, and moaned softly, her nails gently scraping his back.
"Razoru..." she mumbles in pleasure.
"Mmm... What is it...?" he asked, still kissing her neck.
"Nothing.. Just... Just please... onigai... don't stop..." Kairi mumbled into his neck as she ran her nails over his back again, her feet locked at the ankles around his waist still, using him to keep her up.
Grinning, Razoru moved his mouth to hers once more, sticking his tongue in. He moved his hands under her, and squeezed softly.
She shivered, his hands feeling her body over and she moaned his name into his mouth, her eyes closed.
She pulls away and nibbled at his ear, her teeth nipping ever so slightly at it.
Razoru smiled at her, his ear nibbled. He slid the top of her shirt off, and kissed her shoulders lightly.
While he was kissing her shoulder, she decided to remove his shirt as well. Once that was done, she unbound his long hair and ran her fingers through its silkiness.
Kairi smiled and rolled her head back to give him better access to her neckline and chest.
Razoru's eyes went wide, but he remained kissing her neck, sliding her down to the ground with him.
"Mrm..." he tried to mutter somthing, but kissed her instead.
She smiles, loving him being there, loving him being with her and moaned, part out of passion part out of frustration.
"If you won't talk, I will... Razoru... I," she kisses him, "I love you...."
As he was hearing these words, Razoru's eyes went wide once more. Not from the exposed chest, but from mere vocalization of human emotions.
"I... love...... you too." he said, kissing her hard.
Kairi smiled, and pushed him up and off of her as she climbed on top of him and proceeded to remove his pants with her teeth.
Grinning, Razoru let her, not helping at all.
My god this is great! he thought to himself.
He liked watching her struggle a bit.
Finally freeing him from his pants, she leaned up on him to kiss him again, her mouth making little stops along the way to his mouth, her tounge trailing circles around his nipples.
Razoru, fully stimulated, moved to take off her pants, but nothing as extreme as with his teeth. He simply used his hands, even while being kissed.
"Mrm... Mrmmm... Mrm...." he muttered, sliding his hands along her bare thighs.
She rolled over, her mouth searching for his, and brought him to be on top of her.
Razoru grinned, and relinquished his spot on the bottom with ease. His mouth aided hers in the search, and they connected. Razoru slid his cold hands along her bare side, and lay close to her, kissing her harder.
Kairi moaned and arched her back as his hands move over her, memorizing her. She brings her hands up to do the same, her fingertips drawn back up to his long locks, she twining the lithe fingers around them.
Razoru smiled, and moved his hands to her chest, kissing her harder yet. His hands grasped everso lightly.
"Onigai, Razoru... Onigai!" she pleaded with him as she saw him smiling at her. Kairi kissed him with all of her passion and desire as she once again arched to meet him.
Razoru grinned and he is kissed, sharing the same emotions.
He satisfied the strange feeling, and sticks it in, moving back and forth, up and down, new to this sort of thing.
Kairi sucked in air sharply through her teeth, her eyes shut tightly. She began to breathe once more and opened her eyes, a small smile on her lips as she moves with him.
Razoru looked into her eyes, pumping slightly faster, and kissed her hard.
"Urm... Urm.... Urm...." he groaned.
Kairi locked her legs below his bottom and rocked into him, her nails in his back, her head lolled back in pure exctasy.
Razoru groaned, speeding up, but thinking that it won't be long left. He winced slightly as the nails dug into his back, but he ignored it and continues.
Her blue eyes noticed his look at her nails and she withdrew them, using instead her fingertips to hold onto him with. Kairi quickened her pace to meet each of his thrusts.
Razoru suddenly stopped, a weight from inside him ejected with force, and his face drooped from the feeling. It lands in Kairi's chest, and he lay there, quite still, quite silent, but breathing heavily.
Feeling him take his release, Kairi followed suit, revelling in the sweetness of it. She felt his head hit her chest sometime afterwards and smiled, sighing with the knowledge and the greatness that he was hers and she his now.
Razoru's head fell still, and his breathing returned normal. He rolled off her, and lay there, smiling.
"That....was....amazing..." he said, breaking the silence.
His partner grin.
"Yes it was..."
She takes in a deep breath and holds it for a second before releasing it.
"Better than I could have ever hoped for...
Kairi sighed and curled up in the crook of his arm with her arm resting on his chest and a leg thrown over his own and fell to sleep.
Razoru grinned, and hugged her close, falling asleep as well.
The rain continued outside, and the pair slept.
