Destined to be alone

Every day

Every morning

From the first moment you open your eyes

To the last time you blink

You prey that today, your "friends" won't desert you

You hope that today, even if it's only for an instant

That today, you won't be alone

Today you won't be on your own

Today someone will save you from your unbearable solitude

The day's events pass quickly by

Like twigs drifting along with a river's current

Still, this Holy Savior has remained unnamed

Leaving you to live another day alone

And on your own

Even within the last seconds of an hour

You silently wish, "Don't leave me alone!"

"I don't want to live on my own!"

But alas, the shroud of night covers all

And you are alone once again

Alone with the darkness

Slowly, you let its intoxicating veil of shadows consume you

And you fall restlessly to sleep

In your dreams

You believe that tomorrow will be a better day

Tomorrow will be different

You won't be alone tomorrow

At least, not in your dreams

But in reality…

Tomorrow will always be the same

Your Angel

Your Savior

Will never come

The only thing you have is;
