Chapter 2: United Once More

"Come on, Drel! Zinx will be old by the time we find him!" Vaki calls back at Drel, who slumps slowly behind Vaki.

"Can't we stop and eat?" Drel whines.

"NO! Zinx is out there and we're going to find him!" Vaki scowled Drel.

Meanwhile, in Quilo, Zinx prepares. Zinx looks through his "home" and finds his back pack in good shape, just some rips and tears but it'll be fine. Zinx puts it on and puts the Elemont Map into the pack. Zinx then digs deep through the debris and finds his training sword; Zinx immediately takes it and looks for food and water. After finding some bread, oatmeal, and fruit through the village, Zinx finds the stream and fills up several bottles, which he found at a ruined drug store, with ice cold water. Then, Zinx takes all the dead bodies he found and buried them along with Elder Yukoro and his mother, in a small grassy area near Village Hall. Then, Zinx turned and leaves Quilo, hoping he'll see it in its full beauty someday.

Vaki carried the exhausted Drel on his back and climbs a hill with difficulty. As he reaches the top, he hears "Vaki! Drel! Where are you?! Answer me! It's Zinx!" As Vaki looks down, he sees Zinx and drops Drel to the ground and races off to his friend.

"Zinx! Over here!" Vaki screams as Zinx turns and sees him. The 2 friends embrace, happy to see each other again.

That night, Zinx, Vaki, and Drel make set up camp by collecting woods and burning a fire to eat their meals.

"Did you see what happened, Zinx?" Vaki asks.

"No, but Elder Yukoro told me Taloko is behind this." Zinx tells Vaki.

"That bastard! I'd love to get my hands on his throat!" Drel roars.

"Wait! Elder Yukoro! Where is he? Why isn't he with you?!" Vaki panics.

"Elder Yukoro…is dead." Zinx sighs as Vaki gasps with horror.

"No…he can't be….Yukoro…" Vaki pounds the ground with his fist "he was like a father to me!"

"I know, he was for all of us." Zinx tells Vaki.

"What about Quilo!? What about my dad and your mom, Zinx? Did they survive?" Drel looks worried.

"No, Drel, they're…." Zinx doesn't finish.

"My dad! No! My dad's alive! He can't be killed so easily! He survived! He…" Drel looks at the ground with tears in his eyes.

"Ralo's alive though, he survived the blast." Zinx tried to cheer them up.

"So what! I bet he helped Taloko get the Book of Hellfire!" Vaki screams with anger, but falls silent.

"No, Ralo wouldn't do such a thing to the village that took him in and raised him when he was found, nearly dead by Slalds {four-legged lizard-like creatures that will eat any meat}" Zinx explains.

"We need to go back to Quilo, I need to get my bow and arrows, I'll show Taloko that he can't mess with the son of Halo!" Vaki growls with vengeance.

"I need to find my axe, I'll fight for the memory of my dad!" Drel roars.

"Fine, we'll return to Quilo tommarow." Zinx says as he puts sand on the fire, putting it out.

That night, Zinx lies on the grass as his friends sleep soundly. Zinx is wide awake and wonders why Taloko attacked Quilo, what does he want with the Book of Hellfire, something more than to destroy the world, something more dim.

That morning, Zinx and his pals set off for Quilo, but they're being watched…

Taloko, in a dark room, watches the three in a cloud of dark manner.

"So…he's the one, the one who is supposed to find the 5 Elemonts. Well, he's a little slow…" the Shadow Lord speaks as he picks up the Elemont of Peaks and it soon turns black "it won't be long now…".

Taloko moved away from the manner and looks at the book of Hellfire.

"Those fools will not make it to Quilo alive… From the bowels of Hellfire and the shadows of darkness, give me one who I can harness. A warrior powerful and dark, give me the power to leave my mark. Summon him and let him be controlled by me, so I may crush this world and its remaining harmony!" Taloko cries out as the pages flips through the book and a portal opens. A claw-like hand reaches out and a creature climbs out of the book.

The creature has red demonic eyes, a whip-like tail, pointy ears, and his body is made of dark manner.

"Welcome to Tyli, Cran." Taloko says as the creature looks at him.

"What is your order, Lord Taloko?" Cran the Hunter Devil asks.

"Find the 4 Elemonts, and bring them to me." Taloko orders him as Cran jumps out a window and lands 50 feet from the ground without difficulty.

"But first, find and kill the one known as Zinx!" Taloko cries out and Cran heads straight to Quilo, "soon, a new power will be born, and no Quilian is going to stop me."
