Part 4: Escape from Freezoa

Chapter 2: Kita

Zinx and Vaki wake up the next morning to find themselves in a room, on separate beds. Zinx looks around and then feels a burning sensation coming from his leg; he looks at it to see 4 small wounds and a bluish purple lump on his leg. A young woman, looks Zinx's age, walking in with a Health Kit and looks surprised to see Zinx and Vaki awake.

The woman was wearing an outfit that showed her legs and arms, she is wearing a jacket on top of a tank top. Her pants go down to her thighs and her belly button shows, she has light blue hair, from living in an icy area, she has blue eyes and her ears are pointy. She's an Ice Ling! Ice Lings are Lings who inhabit an icy habitat and their usual favorite and common color is blue. They had tails like any other Ling, but they're usually a wolf tail or a skinny, whip-like tail.

"Oh, um…hello, I'm Kita, the daughter of Elder Snowlo. I found you when I heard someone shouting so I and two guards came out and found you and your friend. We took your weapons and they're on the table downstairs, this is our house, the Village Hall." Kita explained.

"Hi Kita, I'm Zinx and that's my comrade Vaki. Say, have you seen another ling, a Dark Ling, come by here?" Zinx asked.

"No, sorry, we only found you two, no one else." Kita looks sad "anyway, you seem to have been bitten by a Frostbiter, the cold must have froze your nerves so you couldn't feel the bite, maybe you stepped on it or something, when one is bitten by a Frostbiter, there will be 4 small wounds and the punctured skin will puff up into a lump that is the color of a frostbite."

"Frostbiter huh?" Vaki looks interested.

"Here, I have some Anti-Frostbiter Venom." Kita tells Zinx as she takes a brush and dunks it into a jar of blue watery liquid and spreads it on the bite.

Zinx bares his teeth as the anti-venom does its painful work.

"There, that'll do it, I'll ask my two guards, Muter and Yul to assist you if you need anything. Try to stay off that leg for about an hour, the frostbite should clear up by then." Kita tells Zinx as she walks out, but secretly winks at Zinx, who blushes.

As Kita closes the door and footsteps sound far away, Vaki looks at Zinx.

"She sure has a nice rack." Vaki says in a mocking voice.

"WHAT!" Zinx looks surprised.

"Come on, like you could see it, she was so digging you, Zinx! An Ice Ling who loves a Quilian Ling is by far the rarest love." Vaki teases with a smug.

"Oh shut up, she's a medical ling and she was only trying to make me feel better." Zinx explains as Vaki busts out laughing.

"Zinx, I swear to the gods HAHAHA!!! Something tells me in the future, you won't be a virgin." Vaki laughs as a shoe nails Vaki in the head.

"Let's get to sleep…." Zinx growls with warning.

Kita walks downstairs where the 16th prince this month waits to try and claim Kita's hand in marriage. The servants were told to leave a single window shattered so Kita will be able to throw a prince out of the window without shattering any glass like when she beat up and tossed out the 7th prince.

Of course, the prince goes sailing out the window and into a bunch of rose bushes. The prince leaves angrily as he plucks thorns off him. Kita stands there, frustrated that her father keeps on sending princes to try and "claim" Kita's heart. Kita first hated the prince for trying to claim her as his bride and the second hate is when the prince said "you and I belong together", he touches her butt.

"Kita, stop being such a stubborn princess and marry at least one prince!" Elder Snowlo begs.

"No, a man who owns a castle and only wants me for my body will be a horrible husband and father if I have any kids." Kita scowls.

"I'm your father, Kita and I order you to marry the next prince!" Snowlo yells with anger.

Kita becomes furious and slaps her father, then retreats to her room. As she runs upstairs, she stops at the two heroes' room and opens it quietly. Vaki and Zinx are fast asleep, Vaki fell off his bed but didn't seem to notice. She sneaks past Vaki and looks at Zinx. She strokes his hair and sighs.

"I wish I could marry you…" Kita sighs as she leans down and presses her lips on Zinx's.

Zinx still sleeps as she walks out quietly. Kita opens the door and looks back at Zinx and then, leaves. Kita goes into her room and lies on her bed.

"I wonder…if those two are explorers, maybe I can run away with them, away from Freezoa, but after the explosion, where will we go?" Kita thinks as Snowlo walks into her room in a mad attitude.

"Alright Kita, I have found you your husband, you will not turn him down and throw him out the window! You two will marry this weekend and you WILL bare and raise his children. No complaints! Do you hear me?!" Snowlo roars angrily.

Snowlo walks out and slams the door and wakes up Zinx and Vaki.

"The only children I'll bare and raise is Zinx's." Kita growls and starts to pack.

Zinx's leg is back to normal as he walks out of the room with Vaki and realizes that it's midnight, and he looks to see Kita's door open and Kita walks out and sees them. Kita is holding a pack and has dressed into some long pants and shirt that cuts off, one that reveals more of her chest.

"Um…you're going somewhere?" Zinx asks.

"Are you two adventurers?" Kita asks with hope.

"Well, we're really looking for the Elemont of Frost, we need the Elemonts to restore our villages." Zinx answers.

"The Elemont! I know where that is! Follow me and be quiet!" Kita tells them as Zinx and Vaki follow.

The three find a shrine in the middle of the village, in a frostbiter statue's mouth is the blue Elemont of Frost. Kita pulls it out and turns and gives it to Zinx.

As he watches his daughter and sees the love struck look on her face, Snowlo turns to Muter and Yul.

"Unleash the Calinore!" Snowlo roars with anger.

"But sire! She's your daughter, the Calinore will kill her!" Muter panics.

"DO IT YOU TWO BASTARDS!!!" Snowlo screams as the two run towards the Freezoa Caverns.

While the Calinore waits for his dinner, Zinx thanks Kita but as he turns, Kita grabs Zinx's hand.

"I want to go with you…on your quest, I don't want to stay here and marry a selfish prince. Please!" Kita begs.

"Uhh… sure." Zinx insists as he soon becomes lip-to-lip with the thankful Kita. The kiss was broken by Kita who then blushed as much as Zinx. Vaki looks shocked and pretends that nothing happened.

Then, Zinx hears a voice.

"Hey kid, haven't seen you in a while." The person says as Zinx turns to see Ralo.

"Ralo! You're alive!" Zinx is cheerful.

"Yup, and I took this from Taloko." Ralo tells Zinx as he holds out the Elemont of Peaks.

"The Elemont of Peaks! You have it!" Zinx says as Ralo gives him the Elemont.

"Who's this?" Ralo asks as he sees Kita.

"Oh, she's Kita. She's our new ally." Zinx explains.

"I better go with you three, it's too dangerous out there to have a small party." Ralo insists "wait, one, two , three, where's Drel?"

"Oh shit! We forgot all about Drel!" Vaki panics as a roar rocks the land.

"Oh no! It's the Calinore, someone must have released it…Father…" Kita starts to become scared.

"The Calinore?" Zinx looks confused.

"It's a gigantic creature with the head and body of a tiger but the head and body of a snake for a tail!" Kita panics.

The four run for cover as huge footsteps rock the village.
