Part 7: The Floating Disaster

Chapter 3: 3…2…1

Zinx and his team get to work. The bombs go off in 4:56 minutes! The bombs use roots to stay into place but if all the roots are cut, the bomb will fall off and be disarmed. Vaki uses the arrow tips to cut the roots of one bomb and Ralo uses his dagger. The roots are thick and hard so it is difficult to cut them. Zinx uses a small knife in his pack, as substitute for his lost sword. The roots of the bomb snap as the bomb fall down to the ground. 3:54 minutes left. Then, the second bomb fall, thanks to Kita's amulet and the third falls from Ralo.

"This is way easy. Maybe too easy." Zinx wonders as Taloko appears in the sky again.

"Looks like five isn't enough!" Taloko cries then 4 more bombs are plants on the ring.

"SHIT, god damn you, Taloko!" Vaki shouts.

The fourth bomb falls and 2:12 minutes remain. Vaki and Ralo dislocate the fifth bomb and then, avoid a lightning bomb that came out of nowhere. Up above, Taloko strikes down at them to make things harder for the heroes. The last 4 bombs are even harder to cut. Kita's spells work a little now. 1:21 minute remains. One of the 4 bombs falls as Ralo is struck by Taloko's lightning, Ralo's paralyzed.

"Forget me, dislocate the next 3!" Ralo tells Vaki.

58 seconds! The next bomb falls, 2 left! Zinx cuts and cuts at the root and the next bomb falls. One more! 31 seconds! Ralo becomes unparalyzed and all four work on the last bomb. 5, one root snaps, 3, the next root snaps, 1, and the bomb falls! The bomb falls, useless.

Taloko growls as he destroys the Floatation Ring with his power.

"Oh shit! The ring! Taloko was weakening us!" Zinx says as the Palace starts to fall. Zinx and the others start to rise from the ring.

Zinx then crawls on the ring and sees the shrine of the Elemont of Gust. He can't take the Elemont and let the Palace fall.

"Grandfather, help us. Please!" Zinx yells out over the rumble of the falling Palace.

Zinx then starts to let go but holds on.

"The Elemonts!" Zinx says as he reaches into his pack with difficulty and then sees the Elemont of Sea glow.

The Palace is surrounded by water that came out of nowhere; the Palace straightens as water comes below the Palace and slows the Palace down. The Elemont of Frost glows and the water below of Palace turns to ice and the Floatation Ring that falls still is the hit with ice. The place where Taloko shattered it is covered with ice and the Floatation Ring then lifts the Palace into the air.

"No…it's impossible! Zinx used the power of the Elemonts of Frost and Sea! He can't be…" Taloko says, shocked as the Palace returns to its normal state.

The water and the ice platform vanish and the ice covering the Floatation Ring's wound becomes whole and Breezle floats with pride again. Taloko retreats to his palace as Zinx takes the Elemont of Gust from the shrine. The wind then blows around Zinx as if the heavens were thanking him. With all 5 Elemonts, the Destiny Blade isn't far away.
