Chapter 5: Team

After what seemed like forever, I finally opened my eyes when I regained consciousness, but I was still a little weak, I could only open them slowly.. I had a weird dream of picking a type of path of some sorts. Like I was suppose to choose either the Holy side, or the Shadow side, and I chose Holy.. It was weird.. But the dream isn't what was on my mind, it was where the heck I am.. When my eyes were fully opened, I looked like I was in a room of sorts, and I was on some sort of medical bed. I got my upper half up, getting a better view. I saw Band-Aids, Ointment, Styptics, and casts in case of broken bones.. This looked like a medical center. But where in a medical center? When I pondered this fact, I heard a voice come from my left.
"Dragona, Glad you're alright, you had me shocked when you collapsed like that."
I turned my head to the left. It was Robin, the guy that I met in the alley.
"Robin? Where.. Am I..." I felt still a bit groggy due to my knockout.
"You're in Titans Tower, in the Med-Room, where we take care of broken bones and other kinds of situations." Robin Said.
"But.. Why here? Why couldn't I just.. go to a hospital..."
"Because your condition wasn't normal, you were somehow affected by a knockout drug. My guess is Gizmo injected something in you while you were fighting him. And we had to get Raven to heal you of it, since it can't be cured by ordinary shots."
..That makes sense, I guess I owe this "Raven" my life.
"Tell me.. Who's Raven?" I asked him.
"She's from another planet called Azarath, she joined our team mysteriously when she came, but we don't know everything about her. She usually keeps her mind and her feelings to herself. She uses Dark Magic to help our team." Robin Explained.
I see.. So thats how I was cured. If she wasn't there, I'd probably be knocked out for a longer while.
"..So tell me, do you have a home we can take you to?" Robin asked.
....A home.. This gave me a sad expression on my face, telling Robin the answer.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know.." Robin apologized.
"Its alright.. Its not anyone's fault.. Its those Shadowless's fault.."
"Shadowless? I've never heard of them. What are they?"
Manoza told me about them, but I don't think Robin should know the full story, I don't trust him just yet..
"I don't know.. When I got home, my neighborhood was burned down by those Shadow creatures. They killed my parents, and took away my life.. I didn't know what to do.. And.. Thats all I can remember. And I found myself here in Jump City." I explained.
Robin was still a bit puzzled about the Shadowless, and I wasn't surprised.
"I'm sorry, I wish I could remember more." I lied.
"No, its quite alright, you just don't know the full story yet."
"Yeah.. But now, I should be leaving."
I tried to get up, but when I got up, I felt dizzy again, like I was going to black out again. I fell right on the bed again, and for some reason, I felt a little better..
"Argh!!"
"Don't force yourself Dragona, the drug is still in effect, you should rest for awhile."
"But... I don't want to intrude on your property.."
"Don't worry, its no problem, besides, My friends were shocked when I brung you here into the Med-Lab, and they got a little worried, so did I anyway."
...I guess I had no choice but to rest here for now..
"By the way.. I never seen such magic before, besides Raven's. What was it?"
He had to bring it up now? *sigh*..
"Well.. It came to mind by a Priest.."
"A Priest?" Robin was a little puzzled.
"Yeah, He taught me magic, thats how I was able to use those spells, like the Fire and Protect spells you saw."
"But what about your weapon?"
Then, I just suddenly remembered.
"My Keyblade! Where is it!? Did I lose it!?" I was exaggerating.
"Whoa, slow down, its over there."
He pointed to a nearby corner, where my Keyblade was, shining with a faint light. I guess I was still on the Holy path.
"Sorry, its like an important tool to me, it was given to me."
"Its alright, people have valuables that they don't want to give up, I understand.."
But then, my thoughts turned to where I should go when I was cured.. Should I travel around? Look for a home? I didn't know what to do..
"Hey Dragona.. Something came to mind." Robin said.
"Huh? What is it?" I said.
"How would you like to join the Teen Titans?"
.....Did he just say what I thought he said? "Join" the Teen Titans? But why?
"How come Robin, I don't understand." I asked in puzzlement.
"Remember I said how well you fought? That kind of power is something we don't have, and you were just bashing Mammoth, Jinx, and Gizmo like it was nothing. Besides, You don't have a home to live in, so I gave it a little bit of thought.. How would it feel for you to live here?"
..My god, hes offering me a home? I-- I can't believe my ears.. I'd have a new home..
"Do you seriously mean it? You won't think I'm a burden?"
"I'm serious, and we're going to be training in a couple of days, and the drug should wear off tomorrow. So I thought you could meet everyone at training." Robin said..
I'm overjoyed at his offer, I can't believe it.. My life suddenly came to a turn for the best!
"Thank you Robin, I kindly accept your offer." I said, almost like I was going to cry.
"Hey hey, Don't cry like that, I see you're overjoyed and all, but you don't have to get THAT emotional."
..Hes right, I am a man after all. I prevented myself in crying and I gave him a nod.
"Well, I'm going to leave you alone so you can get some rest. Push this button if you need anything."
He hands me a type of button remote which to call people on. I accepted it with a nod.
It seems like my life has turned to the best for me, I was going to live with some people called the Teen Titans at Titans Tower. This girl raven cured me of most of the drug, and I need to thank her once I get the chance, but other than that, I think I'm going to live right at home here.. Once I get all better and everything..

Meanwhile..
Slade was planning an attack on the titans, which no one knew about, not even Robin (Well duh). "Perfect... So a Shadow Soldier will be at my every command?" Slade said through a hologram.
"Yes.. And it is even unstoppable to even the Teen Titans, since there powers have no way of effecting it... Except for one mere boy.." Said the black robed hooded figure.
"Who is this boy?"
"The one with the keyblade, but his position is nowhere to be located, I do not think you will meet him very soon.."
"Good.. Proceed in sending the Shadow Soldier to my Domain, that is all. Out."
The holagram shutted off. While Slade was thinking on how it felt to finally defeat the Teen Titans.. Once and for all.
".. Soon, The Teen Titans will fall to their deaths.. I hope hell has a great place for them.."
