Chapter 8: Congrats

After the fight with the Shadowless Soldier, everyone had to go to the Med-Lab, due to the fact they got totally thrashed. None of their weapons affected it except the Keyblade, which is why I think the priest gave it to me. He must've known I'd run into them sooner or later. And this Slade character? I didn't know him, but now I know that hes a major enemy to the Titans, and hes an enemy of mine. But still so many things left unsaid: Why did Slade want to kill the Teen Titans? How did Slade get control of a Shadowless Soldier? None of it made sense.. None of it did.

Everyone in the Med-Lab recovered the next day. All the beds in the Med-Lab were takened up, so I had to end up sleeping on the couch, but that wasn't really a problem.. When I was exploring the Titans Tower last night, while everyone was asleep, it was beyond my imagination. Each person had their own room, and they also had a living area where they can usually play on some sort of game system. Just then, I felt a hand on my shoulder, while I was asleep.

"Hey dude, wake up, rise and shine now."

"grumble... 10 more minutes dad..."

"Yo, get up Dragona, we just want to get to know you better."

After shoving and pushing, I finally opened my eyes. What I saw was a green person, and a big one with Cybernetic enhancements.

"Huh? Who're you guys?" I said, rubbing my eyes.

"I'm Cyborg, and here is BB." Cyborg said.

"Uh, Dude, I think you should say Beast boy, he doesn't really know my.. uh, whats that word? Oh yeah, Initials." Beast boy said.

"Oh right, sorry.."

Cyborg, and Beastboy, sounds like good names. *yawn*.. that fight really took alot out of me, I never fought such a creature.

"Are you 2 feeling alright? From last night?"

"Yeah, we took a pretty hard blow, almost knocked out my circuits."

"I can't even believe I couldn't hit anything.."

"No one could, except Raven actually." I said.

That name rung their ears, they sounded a little.. frantic I think.

"Now that I think about it, Raven's powers are on the -dark- side, so the dark monster must've absorbed her wave of energy I guess." Cyborg suggested.

"But you don't know the full story on what happened to the monster though.

"We already know, Cyborg here invented those cameras, remember?"

"Yeah, they were still on, so we saw all the action just today, before we woke you up, and uh, you really saved our butts. How could a giant key defeat a monster that big?"

"And that weird looking magic as well."

...So many things left unsaid.

"Umm, maybe I can explain after I eat?" After saying that, my stomache growled a bit, making me embarrassed.

"Sure! No problem! Wait 'til you try some of my tofu."

"Man, no one likes your tofu man! How could you bother making that stuff!?"

"Dude, hes new! He just might like it."

"Aw, you're hopeless.." After saying that, Cyborg left the room, while Beast boy went to the kitchen to make Tofu of some sort. I never tasted tofu before, nor have I heard of it unfortunately.. It sounded like a substitute of meat or something.

"Hope you like Tofu Dragona, because I'm sure you're going to like it!"

...I have a bad feeling about this... I went to sit at the table, until...

"Uh, Beastboy, what are you doing?" Robin came in from the other room, wondering what BB was doing.

"I'm making Tofu for our guest."

"Uh, don't you know that we're going out to eat, to celebrate our new Teen Titan?"

Then, he just stopped suddenly, and ended up frying the Tofu.

"Say what!? I wasn't told about this!" BB said.

"Actually, I did. But you were too busy waking Dragona up, so you must've not heard me."

Beastboy just ended up complaining for this. I guess he was looking forward into me trying his Tofu I guess.. Better luck next time Beastboy.. Better luck next time...

"So we're going out to eat? Because I'm a new teen titan?" I asked Robin.

"Thats right, you got some amazing potential, and you saved our lives from that monster last night."

So its a celebration for me, thats never really happened before since I graduated 8th grade. But thats a good thing in a way.

"Where are we eating?" I asked.

"A pizza parlor, just a few miles from where we live."

Pizza? Now that that came to mind, I've been craving some for awhile now. Haven't had any cheese pizza in a very long time.

"..Do you not like pizza? Maybe we could go to a burger joint."

"Oh no no no, Its just that I haven't had any pizza in a long time, I've been wanting some ever since... Its been a month since I had it though."

Robin got the idea. You see, my mother restricted me from eating it ever again for a month, because I sorta got into a fight about it, and ended up throwing pizza into one of my friends faces by accident.

The Titans were all ready to go, and so was I. But we were missing Raven, I didn't know where she was.

"She must be up in her room, Meditating." Beastboy mocked.

"Meditating? Why does she meditate?" I asked.

"She does it in order to control her powers and emotions. If she doesn't meditate, her dark powers could destroy this city, and us as well." Robin explained.

..Oookay.. A dangerous friend in a tower.

"But it doesn't usually take her this long... Hey Dragona, why don't you go call her?"

"Huh? Why me? I dont even know where her room is."

"Its upstairs on the 3rd floor, you'll see it, her room is behind a metal door. And why do you need to go up there? Well.. She looked a little uptight for some reason."

"Okay, I'll go see her."

I got directions from Robin, and went upstairs to the 3rd floor to meet her. I think I found the door to Raven's room, but wasn't sure, so I knocked."

*Knock *Knock*

"Uh, Raven? Are you there?"

Raven suddenly opened the door, when I became a little surprised.

"What?" Raven asked.

"Er, nothing, I just came to check on you, we're going to eat now, so I thought you were coming?"

Raven then remembered the celebration party. But then, I saw something on her cheek, like she was blushing or something, but I couldn't tell, because when I thought I noticed that, she saw me staring at her, and she teleported from her room, to somewhere else.

..Ok, why is she being rude to me? Is it my face? My attitude? Or does she not like me at all? That, I didn't understand.
When I got downstairs, I saw all the titans together, waiting for me. And I saw Raven with them, which seems pissed for some reason..

"C'mon, I want you to look at my ride."

We followed Cyborg to a garage of some sort, what I saw in front of me was a car that had the same plating as him.

"This is the T-Car, my baby. She can go anywhere we take her."

...Is he possessed with his car or something?

"Uh.. Okay, hey wait a minute.. Theres not enough space for the 6 of us! How are we going to get there now..."

"Don't worry, I'll take my motorcycle, while you sit in the car Dragona."

We both agreed. I was riding next to BB and Raven, and Starfire was in the front. Why am I always in the middle... Anyway, while we were on my way, I looked at Raven a little bit.. Her purple hair looked nice on her, even her skin I guess. And then, Raven caught me starring at her again.

"What are you looking at." She said in her dry voice.

"Ah, nothing, nothing at all."

"If you're thinking of doing anything funny--"

"Its not like that! I was just a little interested in your Dark Powers."

Then Raven gave me a surprised look. I guess thats the first time someone complimented her powers.

She stayed slient, like she didn't hear anything, but she did.

When we got to the parlor, we took our seats, I sat at the far end. And for some reason.. Cyborg and Beastboy argued about the toppings of the Pizza.

"Man, I don't want Pepperoni on Pizza, I'm a veggieterian, remember?" BB said.

"Well what else are we suppose to order?" Cyborg complained.

"Um guys, to end this arguement peacefully, how about we just have cheese?" I suggested.

And everyone just looked at me, seeing an idea at hand.

"Hey, thats not a bad idea. Good thinking Dragona." Robin said.

"I agree." Starfire said.

"So do I." BB said.

"Okay."

Raven just nodded.

We ordered a large cheese pizza, and began eating. BB looked like a slob, but I didn't mind it.

"Lets congratuate our new Teen Titan!"

"Cheers!" Everyone said in Unison, while tapping their glasses all at once.

It seems like they like for me to stay here, I did save them after all. But I better not over do it, I don't want to be hypnotized like I want fame or anything like that. I felt right at home with the Teen Titans. Its alot better than my old home, but I miss it. Even my parents.. I wonder how they're doing in heaven...
