Chapter 9: Magic

We got back to Titan's tower after the celebration of my arrival. I was glad in a way.. Hell, I was more than glad, I felt excellent! Nothing seemed to worry me anymore. And, I made new friends as well that are willing to help me. After we got to Titan's tower, they gave me a new room. In the room, was a T.V, a bed, a table, 1 cushioned Recliner, and 3 wooden chairs. It was a good beginning start too, they even gave me money to buy the rest of my supplies! How kind are they or what? I sat on the bed, and told the Titans I needed privacy.. Hmm? I saw something near my bed, a book of sorts. And a note was sticked on here. It says its from Raven, it says:
"Sorry for being cruel to you, you're just new is all."
Well, isn't that nice, a gift from Raven. I picked up the book and read the title.. Hm? The title was: Standard book of spells. I opened the book, and read that there were many encantations on this spellbook. I read it for 15 minutes, interested in learning more magic, and I learned 3 new spells already: Blizzard, Thunder, and Reflect. Reflect allowed me to deflect or reflect an attack sent to me back to the attacker, a useful spell in a dire situation. Its a shame it doesn't work on melee attacks... When I checked to see if I got the encantations right, I decided to field test a spell. I went out of my room, heading for the training grounds, until I ran into someone I knew: Robin.
"Hey, whats up?" Robin said.
"Nothing really, just going to field test a few spells I just learned."
Robin raised his eyebrow.
"How did you learn more spells?"
"Raven gave me a Book of spells for being wrong about me."
Then, Robin just looked at me in surprisement.
"SHE gave you a spellbook? Raven doesn't usually do this kind of thing..."
"From what you're saying, I believe you, but I dunno why, maybe she didn't need any use for it anymore?"
Robin was still puzzled about the cause, but he thought it was probably best to keep it out of the way.. for now.
We said our goodbyes in the hallway, while I headed down to the Training grounds.
When I got to the training grounds after 2 minutes later, I decided to field test these spells.
"Hmm.. Lets see.. What to fieldtest first?"
I looked around the field, and saw a huge boulder on the ground. Thinking, I decided to test my spell against it.
I raised my hand and said:
"BLIZZARD!"
A spray of Ice spikes came from my hand, hitting the rock rapidly, But it didn't do any good actually, it only cracked the rock. Then I decided to try a lightning spell.
"THUNDER!"
A lightning bolt left from my hand, and hit the boulder, then the lightning circled it a bit, causing damage to the boulder, but the boulder was still standing. I felt like pounding the ground.
"Aw screw it!" I pound my foot in anger. The damn boulder was too tough! Just then, I heard a loud crash. I turned around and saw the boulder just fell apart! ...Did my foot do that?
After the field test of 2 out of 3 spells, I went back up to my room, where I met BB just outside my door. I wonder what he wanted..
"Hey Dude, want to try a new video game I bought?"
"What game?"
"Its called Dead Or Alive 2, The Ultimate's collection! Wanna try it out?"
I started to think.. hmm, I've played that game before, and Its been such awhile since I've played.. But I decided to agree with it anyway. I nodded.
"Sweet! Lets go to the living area!"
We ran downstairs to the living area, where we inserted the CD into the Gamestation. The screen loaded up, and we selected VS. My favorite characters were: Hayabusa, Ayumi, and that purple haired girl, but I chose Hayabusa, ninjas were my favorite! BB chose Jack, some sort of Casino looking man. And the battle began.. ... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .
"Dude! No fair! How could you beat me like that!? This was the 4th time in a row you beated me with Hayabusa! Use a different character!!"
I beated BB 4-1, and now he wants me to switch characters, man what a sore loser! I chose Ayumi, since she has a nice figure, with a nice shape in breasts. But that was until..
"Yo, who said you could play without me?" Cyborg entered the area, and saw what we were playing.
"Dude! Dragona's really good at this game! He beated me 4 times in a row!"
Cyborg was surprised for some reason.
"Say what? I couldn't even beat BB, and you seem to beat him with no problem. Are you a born gamer or something?" Cyborg asked.
"Well, in a way, yes, but I don't usually play fighting games that often. Mostly RPGS and all."
I looked at my watch, and saw it was still noon. And now that I think about it, I never got the chance to get any new clothes, let alone new furniture for my room.
"One question: Have you seen Robin?" I asked.
"Yeah, I saw him in his room, I guess hes finding out what Slade's planning, why?" Cyborg said.
"I need to borrow his Motorcycle, I need to get some shopping errands done." I said.
"Huh? But why?" BB said.
"Well you see, since you guys gave me some money to spend for furniture and all, I haven't done that yet.. Heck, I don't even have any new clothes to wear. Thats why I need to go to a mall or something."
"Why don't you just let BB ride you to one?" Cyborg said.
"Hey, wait a second! Why me?" BB yelped.
"Because you're the one that lost to him of course."
"But dude, how can that-- I don't.. hey, wait a sec.."
BB just thought of something, something I'll never know I guess.
"On second thought.. Sure! I'll take him to the mall! How bad can it be?"
Thats how it began. Both of us were going to the mall. Beastboy shapeshifted into a type of Llama, which was a bit embarrassing, since people would think why a 15 year old would be riding a Llama. I mean this is a city for petes sake! But I wasn't worried, even though it didn't show me any dignity at all. And why do I need new clothes you ask? Well, I need to look good don't I?
