“I'll tell you when we get back. Remind me where we are,” he says as he runs to the others, and she follows in disappointment.

“He tells a good story huh?” Beast Boy says as he stands behind Raven, and she jumps.

“Don't ever do that again.”

“Sorry, but that was cool!” he says referring to the story.

“Yeah, he was always a good story teller. Wait… YOU WERE EVESDROPPING!” she yells at him.

“Yeah, sorry. It was just really good, ya' know. I just wanted to say, it's good to see you finally happy and all, and I just…” he says stammering, as they walk outside.

“What do you really want to say?” she asks, and he expression changes completely.

“WHAT DOES HE HAVE THAT I DON'T!” he asks.

“Well, lets see, I've liked him since I was 4, he has the cool eye, he knows more about me than anyone else, he's funny,” she starts listing, “he has nice hair…”

“But come on! I'm funny!” Beast boy says, and Raven flies off. He follows as a hawk.

They arrive at the tower, and Raven joins the others.

“Someone's been here…” Cyborg whispers, as they see the house is a mess. Blood is on the floor, and a trail leads into the hall.

“This someone must be hurt…” Starfire says wiping up some blood.

“Titans, we have an intruder…” Robin whispers, “Crow, what can you do that Raven can't?”

“Well, I can hear more sensitively using my powers, I can-“ Robin interrupts him.

“Perfect! Listen into the house and see if someone is talking of if there is movement.”

“Okay… Azarath Metreon Zinthi,” he whispers and he listens for sound.

In a distance on the other side of the tower, he hears someone grunting in pain. He hears a zapping, and a fiddling with a belt. It sounds like someone is looting Robin's stuff.

“Your room… there's someone using your utility belt.”

“Okay… Titans go,” he whispers as they walk slowly down the hall and see Robin's door open they see someone using a weapon to fix something, and only see a shadow. They knock the door open and stare at the person. Robin opens his mouth and asks, “Bruce?”

“Robin?” Batman says as he seals a wound with a laser on his belt, “long time no see.”

“But I thought… The Joker said…” Robin says baffled.

“I faked my death,” Batman says putting his mask on, “I needed to get them away somehow. I don't know how joker got back to life, but I'm just glad he's gone again.”

“Thank Raven. She's the one who stopped him long enough for me-“

“Don't thank me about anything,” Raven says upset. She puts her hood up, and walks off.

“I'll get her. If she doesn't come back, I failed,” Crow says, as he leaves. Starfire looks at the door in jealousy.

“I should get to Gotham. See ya,” Batman says as he falls out the window and disappears.

Raven walks to her room, almost in tears. She sees her shadow, and stops.

“You don't have to follow me that way,” she says, and Crow pops out of the shadow.

“Sorry,” he says, ”I thought you said you would cheer up!”

“I'm not that happy anymore. I'm different than when I left. I toughened up.”

“But still,” he says as they walk into her room, “Wait! I need to finish the story!”

“Yeah,” she smiles.

“All right… where were we?”

“You were on the last charge of your battle.”

“Ah yes!” he says as it fades into his story…

He charged at me and I charged at him. One of us will die, or one will lose it all. This was the last charge of our battle.

I was screaming as I lifted up my sword, and ran. He ran at me, so the wing he hadn't used was the one that was to hit me. His right side it was.

“FOR AZARATH!” I screamed as I sliced off his wing. He screamed as the wing flew unexpectedly across my arm, slitting my wrist, and then cutting straight down my whole arm, and my back.

I had done major damage to him, but he had done more to me. I was gushing blood, and everything was getting fuzzy.

“Azarath Metreon Zinthi!” I screamed in pain, and formed bandages out of my powers. It would hold the blood in, so I would last long enough, but the pain was unbearable.

“Go on. Run. You have already lost. You will die either way. If you continue on, I will kill you. If you leave, you will return to Azarath in critical condition, and I will attack again. Curses will be put to your name, and you will be burned. If you kill me, my dragon will get you,” he said as I stumbled to the window, “and even if you kill him, his fall will crumble the magma, and the volcano will come out of dormancy, and we will all die.”

“WAIT!” I said, as I looked out the window. Where my footprints were, were geysers of flames! It was a volcano! Not a hollowed out mountain! It was a dormant volcano! “Hiogi, you just sealed your fate,” I said as I turned and slammed my hands on the walls and the whole building turned gray, and all the exits sealed.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” he said as I raised the building and slammed it down on the magma!

-That's very smart!-

Thank you.

“NO! You'll kill us all!” he said as I slammed it down one more time.

I had an out of body experience right then and there. The castle just slammed into the lava, and was sinking fast.

I got back to my body, and saw him struggling. His swords couldn't pierce the wall, and he took his wing! His wing could do it!

He swiped his wing across it, but nothing happened. He looked at it, and the blade was dull from cutting through my armor before! He slammed on the wall, and the floor started burning.

“You'll die too!” he screamed.

“Nope,” I said as I phased through the roof, and saw it was almost all under. I heard a scream and the castle was all the way under.

“Done,” I said as I floated away, and the rest of the magma crumbled and all the other barbarians fell into lava. I flew off and noticed something wasn't happening. The volcano wasn't erupting… I looked at it and saw what was happening. Hiogi's dragon was rising out of the lava, even larger. I looked at his head and saw Hiogi melted onto it. He had merged with his dragon!

“I WON'T DIE!” he screamed as the dragon roared and threw fire at me. I needed to do something. I needed to kill it, but how?

“AZARATH METREON ZINTHI!” I screamed letting out all my power at it. I hit it, and the dragon wasn't affected. I picked up my sword and ran toward it.

“YAH!” I screamed as I put all my power into the sword. My bandages disappeared and I jumped onto the dragon's head. I ran to Hiogi, and slammed the sword into Hiogi's big mouth, and through the back of his head. He had replaced the dragon's brain.

The dragon hissed as it slammed down, and died, and Hiogi died with it.

“My job is done here,” I said as I walked back to Azarath, and was honored as a hero.

“Is that the end?” Raven asks excited.

“There is no end. The story never ends,” he says.

“That was great!” Raven says, “I almost thought you wouldn't make it!”

“Me too,” he smiles, “It was scary as hell, but I lived.”

“I wish I had been there. I would have helped,” she says.

“You can in dreams,” he said as he pointed to the clock. 5:30 AM, “But until then, we should just wait. I'm going to' sleep in, because I didn't sleep at all,” he yawns and closes his eyes. She kisses him, and he goes to sleep.

“Perfect,” she says as she uses magic to go into his mind, “Azarath Metreon Zenthos,” she chants as she appears in Azarath.

“Home?” she asks as she looks around. It is in rubble, and the buildings are all burnt down. The lake is dried out.

“What is going on?” she asks as she walks into town and sees a horror. The people are stone. Everyone is stone. The town is destroyed completely. She falls on her knees. It is like her vision 2 years ago.

“What are you doing here?” a voice asks and Crow falls to the ground.

“What happened?” she asks.

“Why did you enter my mind?” he scolds her, “I was having a great dream! Your mind is a trail, mine is home.”

“But… wait, how did you know mine is a trail?”

“I read your mind while you were in your room before you went to face Slade. Why else would you have said the Zinthi by an accident?”

“Well, don't infiltrate my mind please. I won't do yours if you don't do mine.”

“Deal. It is like this because this is the true horror of Azarath. It is this now, and forever more. I just have the image stuck in my head,” He explains, in a serious voice.

“This is…” she starts.

“Yeah. It's horrible. But it's true,” he says as they walk on the river bank, “Now, please leave before you see anything else.”

“Okay,” she says as she disappears. Behind her is a tombstone, and eh kicks it over so no one can read it.

Outside Raven comes out of the trance and looks at Crow who is looking at her with his eyes half open.

“Please don't ever do that again. My mind I full of harsh truths and I can't let anyone enter it. I'm putting up a shield,” he says as he closes his eyes, “I love you.”

“I know,” she says as she takes out a book and begins to read it.

3 hours later, the alarm sounds.

“Again?” Crow yawns, “Does that thing ever not go off?”

“It is a crime. We need to help out.”

“Okay,” he says as he pulls his cloak on, and puts on his top hat, “Ready.”
