Episode 2: 360 Degree Battle! Win or Die!


Gale awakened just as the plane landed. "I hope we're here and this isn't another fight"said Uminia. All of them got off the plain quickly enough, now standing in front of a very large red building, with all kinds of weapons and foot soldiers at guard. Gale noticed a gun stationed at the very top, with no one manning it. Was it controlled by remote? That man in purple from before stepped out. "In case I forgot to introduce myself, I'm General Niro. Congradulations for those who have made it this far. The end of the line may be closer to some of you then to others. Don't think things get easier from here, some of you will wish you were back on that island"said Niro. "Wow, a guy really can get stronger here"thought Gale. "The plane ride took just over 14 hours, so if you aren't rested up by now then you're going to have a real problem recovering from the serious training. Now follow me inside"he said. They did as told, astounded at how grand the inside was. Beautiful spiral stairs, red cushioned carpeting, trophies and weapons on display, very few weren't impressed. "You'll have time to explore the facility later, for now, everyone follow me"

He led them to an enourmous metal room that, besides for people, was comepletely empty. "There's nothing here. Are we having another training simulation?"thought Lance. "We're going to detirmine your rank now. This is how it works. We call a name off the lst, then a number. The number is your opponent, a soldier here. These fights are for us to actualy see you in action. Although the intention of the fight isn't to kill the opponent, if it happens then we will not hold the killer responsible"said Niro. "Even the simplest things mean life and death here"thought Uminia. "Any questions?"asked Niro. No one dared to raise a hand, possibly fearing the awnser. "Good, first name up, Asp Cuner"said Niro. A green haired girl with a red headband, in a one piece green suits(boots attached even) stepped up. "She dosen't have any eye lids!"noticed Gale mentaly. A tall blond haired boy wearing ragged jeans and a purple tanktop came out to meet her. "Begin!"said Niro. Just as the boy made a forward motion, Asp slid right under him and landed behind him. "She's fast!"said Gale. Before the boy could turn, Asp bit down on the boy's shoulder, the boy screaming. He staggered back, holding the shoulder, green mist coming from it. "What did, you do to me?"asked the boy. "What did she just do?"asked Uminia. Niro smiled.

The boy tried to step forward, however all his veins were bulging, he could barely move. "My body can create dozens upon dozens of diffrent posions, without using any Bio or Geno energy. This is just a simple acid, burning through all the organs in your body"she said with a hiss. The boy fell forward dead with a blank stare. Gale stood trembling at the sight. "How can anyone fight that?"thought Gale. He stepped back. "I can't back down, but, what can I do against that?"thought Gale. Asp took her place back with the others. "She didn't even need to throw any punches or kicks"thought Niro. "Very well then, next up, Uminia Berserken"said Niro. "Good luck"said Gale, taking his focus off Asp. "Thanks, you too when your turn comes up"said Uminia. She stepped out confidently, pulling her gloves up. "It's almost hard to believe I'm here"she thought. A blacked haired girl dressed in yellow came out. "This will be easy"thought the girl. "Begin!"

She instantly multiplied herself by four. "Uminia!"gasped Gale. Uminia did a full split on the floor, spiining around like a cyclone, her legs sweeping them down. Uminia pushed herself up by the arms, and landed full force with her feet into the original, her opponent passing out. Uminia took her place back. "That was a comeplete squash"said Gale. "She was too foolhardy"said Uminia. "Next up, Gale Conners"

"My turn"said Gale stepping up. He was met by a boy in a purple gee, with matching purple hair. "Begin!"said Niro. The boy's eyes widened quickly, and an entire circle formed around them. "What the hell!"thought Gale. Looking back to his opponent, Gale struck with his back leg, but it was caught and he got sweeped to the floor, the boy doing an elbow drop on Gale's leg. "Damn!"thought Gale in seething pain. Gale yanked his leg free, standing himself up. "He caught it, like nothing. Let's try this"thought Gale. He created a ball of energy and shot it at him, the boy simply moving his head. "Allright, now I'll get him from behind"thought Gale, the ball coming for him. "He can control that energy ball allready? He just learned how to use it"thought Uminia. The boy ducked forward however, Gale making the ball quickly vanish. "How did he see it coming?"thought Gale. The boy struck out with his hand, Gale just barely sidestepping. Now to the side of the boy, he thrust his hand to the side of the face but it was caught, the boy not even looking. "How is he doing this?"thought Gale. Gale was yanked into a knee, then tossed to the other side, sliding into the wall. "Gale"thought Uminia worriedly. Gale felt his stomach tighten from that, at least that's how he would describe it. He pushed himself up. "He's too fast to take hand to hand, I'll just attack him from afar"thought Gale. Gale began shooting out energy balls everywhere, all of them towards the ceiling. "What's he doing?"thought Niro. "Let's see you beat this!"said Gale, launching them all down. They were coming from all sides. Gale could only have them strike one at a time, the boy dodging them all whether from behind or to the side, with his gaze never changing. "There's no way!"thought Gale clenching his fists. "Gale, don't get angry, it'll only make things worse"thought Uminia. The boy thrust his hand out, the force exerted from it slamming Gale into the wall, further hurting his stomach. Gale spat blood out. "Gale!"said Uminia running up but Lance grabbed her arm. "It's his fight"said Lance. "I know, but, he's getting destroyed out there"said Uminia. Gale struggled to stand once more. "I can't watch this. He's my best friend, he's the only thing I have leaft Lance"she said. "Hmm?"asked Lance. Tears came from Uminia's eyes. "I ran away from my home about 5 years ago, because I couldn't stand it there. That was when I met Gale. He was like me, all alone. I saw him practicly torturing himself, hitting trees until he bled from the limbs. When we finally met, the first thing he wanted to do was fight. I beat him in seconds, but he kept fighting me more and more, never winning. He's so detirmined to save his sister, he's so passionate. If he dies, not only will I lose my best friend, but Gale will have suffered for nothing. I have to stop this"said Uminia. "Uminia, no!"

Uminia wiped her eyes, looking to Gale. "No one is to interfere. I can't ever hope to beat you, if you keep rescuing me. This guy is only the first. I need to surpass everyone in this room, so I can kill Him, so I can get my sister back. So watch my victory"said Gale. "I have nothing against you, so you DO have the option of quitting"said his opponent. "I don't think so"said Gale. He spread his legs out. "Hyperflash!"

His body was now encased in yellow energy. "What is this?"thought his opponent. Gale flashed forward at incredible speed. His opponent just barely blocked the attack. Gale sent a barrage of punches and kicks, the boy blocking them all but he was getting hurt and tired. Gale went around from all sides, but no matter what the boy blocked, until finally the boy sped behind Gale. With two knuckles posed out, he made contact with Gale's spine. Everyone heared the spine crack, Gale hitting the ground. "Gale, I can't believe it"said Uminia. "You should've quit, now you'll never be able to fight again"said the boy. The circle dissapeared, the boy turning around. Gale snickered. "Hyperflash!"

The room was filled with gasps, Gale speeding up to in front of the boy, delivering a super kick right below the chin. The boy went flying into the wall, Gale flying up, wrapping his arm around the boy's head, and crashing it into the ground. "There's no way, his spine was cracked"said Uminia. "Gale's a Hypen. His geno energy can heal bones and organs. Gale must've been kept alive just long enough for the spine to heal"said Lance. Gale fell over, uminia going over and catching him in time. "Lead them to the medical room. In the meantime, Lance Yamino is up next"said Niro.

Lance stepped up, met by a girl with long blue hair. "Begin!"

The girl flashed blue, the floor around them becoming ice. Lance slipped on the ground, the girl sliding across with no trouble. Lance shifted his weight over, putting his palms down into the ice, which stayed for two seconds before he slipped further. "I win"said the girl. From the ground, something popped up, the ice shattering. A dragon made of dark flames with red eyes came up from behind her. The girl gasped, turning around. Lance made it dissapear, shooting a bolt of lightning at her from his palm. "This one is very unique, he seems even stronger then Asp"thought Niro. The girl fell forward. "You win"she said weakly. Lance held his left hand, an odd insignia, an X with a line down the middle, began glowing black."No, no!"he thought.As two men were about to carry the girl out, Lance formed a shadow sword, rushing over with it. "The fight's over!"they said. Lance's eyes went blank as he stabbed the girl through the heart. His eyes then returned to normal, and Lance saw what he had done. The others were in utter shock, looking at Lance with a mix of shame and fear, all except Asp. "How interesting"she thought. Lance walked out without a word. "I can't make it stop. I can't overcome it, it's too strong"thought Lance. "Damn you! Why won't you stop!"thought Lance. He formed a small shadow blade and stabbed his right arm, blood beggining to flow. The insignia kept him from stabbing his left arm.

Later that night, they were all in a room, put there by orders. It was fairly small, with a 3 bunk bed and a closet to store anything necessary. "I won, but it's still not good enough. I need to go train more"said Gale. "Rest for tonight Gale, or else Lance and I will tie you down to the bed"said Uminia. Gale sighed. "Fine"he said. "You need to enjoy the finer things in life"said Uminia. "She's right"said Lance, not even looking at them. "All you think about is revenge and getting stronger. That's the path of darkness. I know someone who thought like you. He became a killer, and continues to kill to this day. I fear, I may be like him one day"said Lance. "Why would you think that? Just because you killed that guy on the island?"asked Gale. "It's a long story and not one I'd prefer to get into. You both have to promise if I become like that, you'll kill me"said Lance. "Lance!"said Uminia. "I mean it!"said Lance. He turned to them him and Gale locking eyes. "We'll cross that bride if we come to it"said Gale. Lance turned away. "Let's go to bed, there's no way to know what may happen next"said Uminia. She turned to Lance. "You don't mind if I get undressed Lance, do you? In my old village, we were raised to embrace the body and never to hide it. It's a hard habit to break"said Uminia. "I don't care, it's warm enough in here so you won't freeze to death anyway"said Lance. Uminia undressed and went into bed in the top bunk. Gale uncovered his eyes. "Gale, you'll see worse things then a naked girl, mark my words"said Lance, taking his robe off, leaving only his black pants and boots. He got his boots and socks off, going into bed.
