Night rain
High above the trees
Like hot tears
On a window
Outside
I walk alone
Just to hide my face
From the people who
Don't care about me
I sit below
A cedar tree
And think to myself

You can't see the tears
When it's raining
Except when you look in her eyes
Because all you can see
Is her pain
It doesn't fade
Away

The rain stops
I walk alone
Just to hide my face
From the ones
Who don't really know
This is all they've got goin'
All that they'll ever show
And the rain starts
And I think to myself

And I walk along
The well-known path
Until I reach the edge
I kneel down
On my knees
And reach over the edge
One has shown me
How to live
And I think

I can't see the tears

Never will fade

So I take up the offer God's given
And I run to his house in the rain
He's waiting for me as an angel
And I take his hand
And I cry
