Chapter 1
The Ninja
The white skinned, dirty blonde haired boy named Justin sat down against a nearby tree, taking off his bag from his shoulder. He sighed as he pulled out a piece of bread and began munching on it. He had been traveling for two days now, heading north to the top of the world, where his brother's evil castle, Food Court, had been built. So far, nothing had happened. From what he knew, he was nearing the closest town, Ninja Village, where ninja's are trained for battle, and where they reside.
As he continued chewing on his food, he heard the faint sound of steps. Quickly, he put his food away, and threw his bag of provisions up to the nearest branch. He put his ear to the ground, trying to discern what exactly it was that he heard. The sound was definitely getting louder, and very repetitive. The worst part was, they were getting closer.
He scrambled up the tree, unsheathing his sword from his back, then waited.
The sound of footsteps grew louder and louder, until Justin was able to see the march of soldier over the horizon. In a few moments, they would arrive. If it had been a scouting group, ranging from three to seven people, he might have tried to take them down. But there was at least two hundred of them. From the emblem they wore, Justin could easily tell they were members of the Yum Army. It seemed that they were planning a full scale attack on a town.
"What town could they possibly want to attack?" Whispered Justin to himself. After long minutes of thinking it over, Justin couldn't find the answer.
"You moron, they're planning to attack Ninja Village," said a voice from above. Justin looked up from his perch, wondering who it was, and how he hadn't noticed him. He couldn't really see him, since he was wearing a black jump suit, with a hood covering most of his face.
"I knew that already!" He lied, sticking his tongue out in disgust. "Who are you anyways?"
"When you want to learn someone's name, you should give yours first," he replied coldly.
"My name is -" Justin began loudly, readying an attempt to show off.
"Shut up you idiot! I don't want them to hear us!" The ninja cut him off. Justin straightened up, annoyed that this person was ordering him around, and that he hadn't even finished giving his own introduction.
"Fine. My name is-"
"Shut up! They're already here. I'd like to ambush them with the element of surprise!"
What!? He's planning to take on... all of them?
The marching soldiers continued tirelessly, clad in full armor with the picture of a slice of cake as an emblem for the Fat One's army. In ten minutes, they were marching under the tree where the ninja and Justin were hiding. The ninja motioned to be quite, putting his finger to his lips. Justin nodded, gripping his sword tighter. When the soldiers finally passed them, the ninja began to make some strange symbols using both his hands.
"Kemeron No Jutsu!" He whispered under his breath. With a puff of white smoke, he vanished. Justin's jaw dropped as he tried to focus his eyes harder to see the ninja. But he found that all he could see was the tree before him. He heard a faint rustle of leaves, but that was all. Then he heard a grunt and groan, and looked down below him. The last line of Yum Soldiers suddenly dropped to the ground unconscious.
Feeling his foot slip, Justin grabbed onto the branch with his free hand. Unbeknownst to him, the added weight of his free hand was just enough to crack and break his perch. With a loud crack, the branch holding him gave way, forcing gravity to take over and sending him crashing loudly to the ground.
Immediately, the rest of the army stopped, turning around in complete unison.
"Um... hi?" He waved, giving an awkward smile.
"For the good of food!! Attack!!" Yelled the nearest soldier. The rest cheered along, attacking at once. Instantly, the ninja appeared next to him.
"You ass! Do you know absolutely nothing! Get your stupid ass up and fight!" The soldiers, taken aback by the appearance of another, continued their onslaught, charging forward with long swords each. Justin stood up, sword in both hands, while the ninja reached into a pouch strapped onto each leg. "Go!" He pulled out three shuriken, each in the shape of an eight pointed star, with each hand. In one swift motion, he let loose all of them, each one hitting their mark, and dropping six soldiers. Justin growled in jealousy, giving him an evil glare. But to his surprise, the ninja was already gone.
"God damnit! Making me look bad... I'll show him!" Justin growled and charged forward.
