Chapter 3
Ninja Village
The room was the biggest in the whole building. It had clean white walls, with intricate designs carved on each of the four blank walls. In the middle of the room was a large table, seating at least twenty people. Only four occupied them now. One of them was Justin, who sat next to a female ninja, with ruby hair, and wore a pink dress with a crimson sleeveless shirt. Justin had no idea who she was. In front of Justin sat an old man with a long silver beard and bushy eyebrows, his head already bald. Beside him sat a man roughly in his mid twenties. He had dark black hair and wore a green jumpsuit tied at the waist with a black sash. Leaning against the wall nearby was Alex, he was cross armed with his eyes closed, almost like he didn't even care about the situation.
"Where am I?" Asked Justin.
"Fool, I can't believe you haven't figured out," replied Alex from where he stood.
"Your in Ninja Village. Don't worry, your with friends," smiled the beautiful girl next to him. Justin's cheeks slightly burned a shade of red.
The man beside the elder sighed, "You fell in battle yesterday. We thank you for what you have done."
"What he did!? All he did was cause more trouble! If it wasn't for him, the Yum Army coming this way would have been destroyed," Alex said, annoyed at his fellow ninja.
"Alex, you must calm down," stated the old man.
"Y-Yes, Sensei," he replied almost too quickly.
"Justin Evans, my name is Jiin. I am the leader of this village, and I welcome you," began the old man. Immediately, Alex scoffed in disgust. Jiin gave a quick glare, forcing Alex to apologize once more. "This is Toushi," he said, nodding to the man beside him. "And she is Aikan," she smiled again as the old man nodded towards her. Justin's cheeked flared red once more. So... Beautiful... he thought.
"Justin, for the past year now, the Fat One has been trying to get his grimy and dirty hands on this beautiful, but deadly village. The Fat One desires our ninjas to help him eat the world. And that is something that I will not allow!" He said, slamming his hand against the table. Amazingly, as Jiin struck the table, the wooden frame seemed to ripple with stress. Justin figured that this old man could easily destroy this large table. "We got word that the Yum Army was planning to attack, so we sent out number one rookie to investigate. When it was confirmed, we gave him the okay to take out the army, since the Yum Army has the worst fighters."
Worst fighters? But, I was taken out so easily... That means...!?
"Toushi and Aikan were sent when Alex sent the word for help. They would have finished them off, but they feared for your safety."
"I sure as hell didn't," murmured Alex. This time, the old man ignored him.
"Now that the Yum Army has seen how powerful even one ninja, and a kid at that, they will take more precautions. They will probably call for back up. This town will surely be attacked by at least 5000 soldiers. We are definitely strong, but we are not gods," he finished. "We saw your fighting abilities, and we see that you have great potential. We would appreciate it if you fought beside us, to take down the Yum Army."
Justin figured that Alex had commented on his "fighting abilities" and how he had fallen in the first few seconds of combat. He never had proper training with this sword, and any form of help would aid him in his quest for justice.
"All right, I'll do it," he agreed.
"Great, then let the training begin," said the old man as he, Toushi, and Aikan stood up. "Head over to the training room, ask Alex for directions. He'll take you there," he said as he gave another glare towards Alex. Without a sound, all three left the room. Justin got up as soon as the door closed.
"So, which way?"
Alex, annoyed, scoffed and said, "Just follow me..."
