Half-Demons: Raven and Dante

 

Chapter 1: Forward-Prologue

 

Forward

In the Beginning of the Underworld there were many demons and many demon gods, but one was the true God of Hell and he was Trigon. Trigon could not yet enter the human world nor did he have interest in ruling over the Underworld so he allowed Dark Emperors to reign as long as they still worshipped him and spread his name as the God of the Underworld. He would let the Emperors rule as they pleased as long as they did not openly defy him, while he stayed in his own layers of hell and searched for other parts of the galaxy he could destroy. Now Trigon was not the only god of the Underworld, but each other deity was just that and not God over the Underworld. One of these deities was Despair. He had an androgynous yet perfect body that looked as if it were made of red and golden flames with devilish wings and two horns sticking out from his head. On Earth that name struck fear into the hearts of men far and wide, and those who worshipped him were known for there terrible cruelty and sick rituals. Another Emperor was the sick and cruel Argosax. Many years later Argosax was overthrown by Mundus. Mundus' reign as Dark Emperor was the beginning of the conquest of Earth: the demons declared war on Earth and were no longer content with subjugating human beings so they began to annihilate the world of mortals. When the world looked as if it was doomed a hero arose from within the demon world. He fought for the lives and future of mankind, and this demon night did it alone. It was this lone demon who led men to victory over the demons, but victory came at a cost. Sparda defeated Mundus, and sealed the demon world with two amulets and the sword that was his namesake along with the blood of a virgin priestess. With the portal closed no demons could enter Earth, but there were still demons left on Earth from when the portal closed because the portal only closed the door between the two worlds so whatever was on each side stayed on each side of the portal. One of the demons was a minor deity named Fortinbras which looked like a giant snake with a huge mouth and a large eye on top of his head. This demon lord was later defeated, but his power was very great in fact greatest of the demons left on Earth except for Sparda. Sparda eventually died, but not before he left the world with two sons: Dante and Vergil whose mother was a mortal. Now 2000+ years later the demon world has begun to get restless. About 25 years ago Vergil, and a man named Arkham attempted to open the portal and almost succeeded, but were stopped and Vergil was assumed dead. This caused a rift and 20 years later Mundus found this rift and tried to open a portal, but he to was stopped. Even Despair and Argosax were able to open a portal, but it to was closed and Despair and Argosax were defeated. Now Trigon is ready to make his move; he now has a portal and through this portal hell will surely follow, but Sparda still has one son left and it is he who could be humanities' last hope. But he is not alone.

 

Prologue: The Coming of Dante

 

It was a normal night with nothing exciting seemingly on the horizon, but like any normal night there was somebody who had the idea to make trouble. Whoever it was had the intent on destruction starting with the downtown area. This person or creature was Wildebeest. But there was somebody else watching that night. From a somewhat gothic tower ( a close to gothic as could be found downtown) there was a man watching in the dark the actions of Wildebeest as he ran amok throughout the city. This man was Dante the Legendary Devil Hunter. He was watching intently waiting for the right time to face the beast, and that time soon came as Wildebeest approached the city bank. Dante jumped from his tower onto the roof of the next building and dashed from rooftop to rooftop until he was on top of the bank, and from there he ran down the front of the building and surprised Wildebeest by jumping to the ground right in front of him.

 

“So you havin a little party all by yourself huh? Hope you don't mind somebody else joining in.” Dante said in his casual feel good tone.

 

“Get out of my way or I'll crush you to make my way.” Wildebeest commanded not fully realizing what he was up against.

 

“Sounds like a challenge are you sure you're up to it.”

 

“You are a little human, and I am mighty beast so for your ignorance I will kill you.”

 

“Human? Kill me?” Dante said with sarcastic surprise. “Ok you can try, but you might bite down on a little more that you can chew jungle boy.”

 

Wildebeest was enraged by this comment and charged violently at Dante throwing a large right fist, but Dante just dashed to the side and then used his air trick to come up behind Wildebeest and with the powers of Beowulf he punched Wildebeest in the head knocking it down to the ground. Wildebeest was quick to get up and charged horns first at Dante, but Dante just double jumped using the beast's head as a platform and came down on the beast with a killer bee kick so strong it knocked his opponent straight to the ground and caused it to bounce halfway across the street.

“Apparently I'm a little to much human for you to handle. If your animal senses worked a little better you maybe could have sensed that I was only half human. Now run along and don't cause anymore trouble tonight or else I will have to kill you. GOT IT.” With his last to words Dante added a ferocity that made the beast tremble, but he still persisted with the fight.

 

“Whatever you are I will kill you.” Wildebeest growled.

 

But before the next move could be made the Teen Titans showed up.

 

“Whoa that's Wildebeest, but whose the other guy?” Said Beast Boy

 

“I don't know, but who is the one wrecking downtown.” Robin said. “OK listen up I want to know which one of you is responsible for damaging downtown.”

 

“Hey don't look at me I was just taking care of this overgrown cow.”

 

“What? YOU INSOLENT FOOL.” Wildebeest said and then threw a punch at Dante who just double jumped, or air hiked if you prefer, to the other side of the street.

 

I believe he is the one you want, but I can handle it myself if you don't mind.” Dante said to the Titans.

 

“We do mind so you had better just help us.” Cyborg said

 

“Ok suit yourselves.” Dante replied

 

Wildebeest was now disoriented, and outnumbered so he charged at the Titans.

 

“Titans GO!” Robin yelled

 

With that the Titans went into action. Cyborg blasted Wildebeest with his sound wave which caused him to fly backwards.

 

Beast Boy had changed to a gorilla and punched him across the street before he hit the ground. Wildebeest was back on the move and charging towards Robin when a large piece of rubble came crashing down upon the beast which had been sent by Raven followed by several starbolts from Starfire. Before he could even get off the ground Robin was on him and hit him with a powerful kick to the face, which forced the beast up, and followed by a right fist to Wildebeest's gut. Wildebeest was able to knock Robin down with a shoulder to his stomach, but just then several red streams of energy hit Wildebeest causing him to basically pass out from taking such a beating. The blasts were from Ebony & Ivory, Dante's signature guns.

 

With this the Titans tied him up and soon the cops came and took Wildebeest to jail.

 

“You know you guys can put on a show. Niece work back there, but ya'll used a little to much energy trying to arrest that guy.”

 

“Well you were certainly getting the job done.” Raven said sarcastically.

 

“Just having a little fun that's all.” Dante replied.

 

“Well thanks for helping, but Wildebeest seemed worn down so I guess we have you to thank for that?” Robin asked.

 

“It was nothing. Guy had not idea what he was doing.” Dante said

 

“Well strange man who are you?” Starfire asked

 

“Babe the names Dante and you must be Starfire.”

 

“You know my name?”

 

“I know all of your names, I just went easy on Wildebeest because I knew you guys would come with something happening downtown, and it would be a good way to get to meet ya'll and see what you 5 could do.”

 

“Dude how do you know our names?” Beast Boy asked

“Yeah and what's with wanting to get our attention?”

 

Dante's answer shocked the Titans and sent fear to all of their faces. “Does the name Trigon ring a bell.”
