“Excuse me, sir.”

Tom looked over the bar, expecting to see a customer. Instead, all he really found was empty air. He was about to turn back to the glasses he had been polishing, when he heard someone yell.

“Hey, I'm talking-“

He looked again, this time peering downward. A short girl, her head just barely peeking above the edge of the counter was standing there.

“Yes?”

“Who is that?” she asked, looking off towards the entrance.

Tom followed her gaze.

“Oh, her?” he asked. The girl nodded, not taking her eyes of the woman. “She's one of the new Hogwarts professors.”

“Is she checking out now?”

“I think she's waiting for a toxi to come around, actually.” He answered. “Was there something else you wanted?”

“OH, YEAH!” the girl said, now peering back at him. She pulled a tiny pound from her pocket, spilling the contents on the counter. “How much to buy your finest room?”

“Rooms aren't for-“

He was having trouble finding his voice. Two of the nearby patrons were staring as well, one actually letting out a gasp. The other made a grab for one, before a loud crack was heard. He dropped it onto the counter, before limping away.

On display, in the lobby of Gringotts Wizarding Bank, they have one such stone, a customer lets them display.

Altogether, thirteen stone sat on the countertop in front of him, shades of red and blue shining up at him.

“Tell you what then. How about if I give you two of these, in trade for a permanent reservation for the next hundred years or so.”

His eyes examined each of these glittering jewels, growing wider as they passed over each one.

“Three, including the biggest.”

“How about just the biggest. After all, cumulative karats are nothing when compared to one gem that features just as many.”

He smiled, staring at the biggest stone. It had to be larger then either of his eyes.

“Y-yes. I believe that's a fair arrangement.”

He would have offered her a drink, after he gave her the only room key, but she left, chasing after the new professor.

A slow smile crept across his face, as he stared down at the gem, before locking it away in his Gringotts safe.

“No, WE'RE LATE!!!”

“Maybe a little-“

“We have half an hour to get there, and it takes an hour normally. I'd say we're late.”

“Fine, we're late! There, I've said it! Are you happy now?”

“No, I'm not happy. We're going to be tea-“

Willow found herself unable to talk now, having to do with the dark haired beauty, who was at this point in time, completely killing off her ability to form coherent thought.

“Have you calmed down now?” she asked her, a few seconds after their lips parted.

“Buffy won't forgive me if she doesn't get to talk to Dawn before we leave.”

“I told Buffy to go already. She's going to meet us there, with Dawn.”

“So…..”

“So get dressed, grab your bags, and we'll run.”

“What about a shower? I mean, I smell like-“

“Sex.” Faith finished for her. Gently, she wormed her hands into Willow's robe, one at the small of her back, the other on her backside.

“No, Faith, we need to-“

“I'm not going to do anything.” She said quickly, as she pulled Willow close, so the only thing separating their bodies was a thin piece of fabric.

“I don't understand.”

Faith laughed a little, breathing in the scent of Willow's hair.

“Skip the shower today. You smell great,” she breathed against Willow's ear. A lecherous grin spread across her face.

“But if anyone catches a whiff,”

“I'm not allowed past the barrier, remember?” she whispered, before gently nibbling her ear. “Something to remember me by.”

“Well…. I'm back.” He muttered to himself, staring at the train.

Nothing had really changed…. Well, there was one difference really.

Aurors were stationed at platform 9
