Fan Fiction ❯ Haunting Memories ❯ I'll Never Forget the Day ( Chapter 1 )
Haunting Memories
A/N- I wanted to make a chapter before I get off the computer. I don't think I'll be able to update as much as I used to since there's school and after school things to do. Just be patient with me if I don't update after a long time.
Disclaimer- I don't own 7th Heaven, only the fanfic, idea, some characters, and anything else I might be forgetting.
Summary- I'm not really sure how to describe this chapter…
Chapter 1: I'll Never Forget The Day
Lucy placed the 5 plates of bacon and eggs at each member of the family's spot. She smiled at Samantha who was now eyeing her suspiciously. As she sat down at the table Kevin put down his newspaper and kissed his wife on the cheek.
"Mom, are you ok?" Samantha stuffed a piece of bacon into her mouth.
"I'm fine."
"Today is our last game!" Jordan was almost jumping up and down ready to share his excitement. Lucy and Kevin exchanged looks knowing what was coming up.
"Mom, the talent show is tomorrow at school! Are you going?" Cynthia asked just as Samantha had said, "You don't seem ok…is there something I don't know?"
"Calm down!" Both Lucy and Kevin shouted in unison, "Jordan, we know and we'll have everything ready. Everyone will be there at two o'clock and Sam and David are going to pick you up at around 1:15." Lucy continued to talk, "And Cynthia, yes I'll be there."
She paused for a minute before speaking to Samantha, "I'm sure I'm ok and…" Lucy glanced at Kevin who looked as if he were a statue, "No…there isn't anything you don't know."

After the "morning rush" Lucy walked up to her room to find Kevin walking out the bathroom after his shower. She kissed him as he walked towards the bed. Before sitting on the bed herself, Lucy got a book. It wasn't a normal book. No, this book was filled with pictures and writings Lucy had made and taken when Samantha was just a baby. This book held all the memories of Samantha's horrible past. The past, which Samantha, didn't seem to remember.
The book was a pink book with the words, "Samantha Jessica Kinkirk". Flowers and cute animals filled the cover and the background of each page was faded with a different picture. A tear ran down Lucy's cheek as she sat down next to Kevin and placed her head on his shoulder.
Kevin wiped the tear from Lucy's cheek off as she opened the book and took out a piece of paper. She unfolded the pink piece of paper and whispered what it said. The couple looked through the book and came across a picture of when Samantha had been in the hospital.
Their moment with the past was quickly interrupted when Samantha walked into the room, "Mom!" Lucy quickly looked up and slammed the book shut.
"Yes?" She said placing the book behind her.
"Will you please tell Jordan to stay out of my room?" Samantha whined.
"In a minute,"
"But Mooom…"
"Samantha you can wait." Kevin said.
Samantha turned around and mumbled something as she left the room. She turned around to face her parents once more, "What was that you were looking at?"
"Just a book," Lucy said. She was hoping that Samantha could remember without looking at the book. She wasn't ready to remind her daughter of what happened thirteen years before.
When Samantha left Kevin started to speak, "Maybe…we should tell her? I think it's about time that she should know."
"Let's wait…just a few more days…"
"Lucy, we agreed to tell her in September on her birthday." He paused and sighed, "It's December and we haven't told her yet. We need to tell her."
"Alright, but let's wait till tomorrow."
"Fine,"
Samantha, who was sitting in the hall listening to the conversation, looked at the wall that was facing her. Tell me what? So there is something they're hiding from me… Her thoughts were interrupted by Cynthia and Jordan who were currently arguing about what was better.
"Samantha! Which is better singing or sports?!" Cynthia yelled.
"I don't know!" Samantha got up and ran to her room.
Cynthia and Jordan exchanged glances and walked into their parents' room, "What's wrong with Samantha?"

Samantha closed her door shut and leaned against it before sliding to the floor.
What could they possibly be keeping from me? And worst of all why is it something about me that they're hiding?
A tear slid down Samantha's cheek as she thought of what he parents were trying to hide from her. She quickly wiped it off that way her family wouldn't think she was crying.
I have just the plan to figure out what they're hiding from me. Samantha quickly got dressed and walked out the door to meet her parents again.

"Mom is Samantha okay?" Cynthia asked as she walked into her parents' room.
"Why are you asking?" Lucy asked.
"She looked upset." Cynthia said.
"I don't know why, then." Kevin and Lucy exchanged looks both thinking the same thing. Did she overhear us…?
Just then Samantha walked into the room with a brilliant smile on her face, "Mom? Dad,"
"Yes?"
"Can I stay home instead of going to the game?"
A/N- I hope you all liked this chapter. I didn't really like parts of it, but that's ok. It's only the beginning of the fic, right? Sorry, if I didn't keep everyone's characteristics the same. They're replaying the 7th and 8th season on ABC Family non-stop and I missed half the 9th season, except for maybe 2 episodes and I've probably seen every episode at least 3 times except for the ones I missed, which haven't come on yet, but will soon. Please R&R and thankiez for reading!
