---

"Hm hm!" Sounded a nineteen-year-old girl wearting a cotton and magenta sleeveless top and also a tan and long skirt, "This is gonna be great!" She was sitting on the top of Hyrule Castle. How she got there, no one will ever know; except for her, of course. She is half sheikieh, half human, and her name is Zelda; or "Zelda of the Thieves" on the streets. She jumped off of Hyrule Castle, like nothing at all, and onto the window sil of Malon's room.

"Link, Link, you're still the same!" Malon, who was wearing a sleeveless white dress with the golden Triforce symbol on the front of her white and satan gloves, said to her boyfriend, who wore a simple green tunic with leather gloves and leather boots, "Will you ever grow up?" Link shugged and said, "I guess not, milady!"

"They're all the same," Zelda said, "They'll never even notice me and my power; my Triforce of Wisdom." Zelda smirked. "Ah well. . .Guess when I hocked the Deku Princess at the pawn shop, they didn't even notice! They didn't even care. . ."

Hero's of the Unknown

Chapter One

The Legends of Time

---

Zelda had stolen, more like found, some sort of blue saphire from the Zora's abandoned Great Fairy's Boon located north-east of their Lord Jabu-Jabu. She was walking to the pawn shop to find out more about it. When she got there, she saw someone she thought she would never in a million years see there.

"LINK?!!!" Zelda practically screamed, "What the fuck are you doing here?!!!" Link sighed. "Calm down, miss, I'm here on buisness."

"What kind of fucking prince are you? You came on buisness? HA! I laugh at your lying!" Zelda then turned to Sakion, the shop keeper, "Is he really here on buisness?"

"Hell no!" Sakion said, "This lad came and gave me a pure gold necklace. Said it was Malon's, he did."

"What the hell?" She turned to Link, "You're cheating on your girlfriend?"

"Cheating isn't proper for this situasion. Using, though, is," Link answered matter-of-factly, then said, "Do I know you? You look familar. . ."

"I'm Zelda, the sheikieh-girl. . .Your stalker, in other words. . ." Zelda said, setting the stone she found on the counter. She turned to Sakion and said, "I'm not hocking it, I just wanna know what the hell is it."

"That's the Zora's Saphire," Link said, "Where'd you find it?"

"Great Fairy's Boon near Lord Jabu-Jabu," Zelda said, "Explains why it's called "Zora's Saphire", eh?"

"There's two other stones like this one. They're called Kokiri's Emrald and Goron's Ruby," Link said, "I have Kokiri's Emrald. Goron's Ruby, though, is on Death Mountain."

"You mean near Goron City? That mountain?" Zelda said. Link nodded. "Well, I'm keeping this stone in case something goes wrong. I'm goin' on a hiking trip!" Zelda said. While Zelda was walking outside, Link grabbed her wrist. "Take me with you!" He yelled.

"Take you with me?" Zelda said, "Are you even allowed?"

"Hell yes!" Link yelled, "I've had dreams about traveling with a girl like you. It was a proficy, of course, but these stones are the key to getting the Master Sword!"

"You mean the sword sealed away in the Sacred Realm? THESE are the key?" Link nodded. "So can I? Please?" Zelda sighed and said, "Fine. . .I'm all ready prepared, are you?" Link nodded.

"Then let's get us outta here!"

---

Death Mountain Trail

---

"Are we there yet?" Said the Prince of Hyrule. They were climbing up the trail to Death Mountain. "No," Replied Zelda.

"Are we there now?"

"No."

"How abou--"

"I SAID "NO", DAMN IT!" Yelled Zelda, "Jeez! Can you ever shut up?"

". . .No?"

"Wrong answer!" Zelda said. A smirk crossed her face. "Say, Link?" Zelda said, "Truth or dare?" Link replied in a low voice, "Dare."

"I dare you to shut up until we get to Goron City," Zelda dared him.

---

Goron City

---

Amazingly enough, she didn't hear a word through his jaws until they did get to their destination of Goron City. They jumped down to the lowest floor without a second thought. Zelda spotted a Goron nearby and asked him, "Do you know where the Goron's Ruby is?"

"Oh!" The Goron said, "You mean the red stone Big Brother has?"

"I-I suppose so. . ." Zelda replied worriedly. "Big Brother locked himself up in his room with the red stone saying, "I will not come out until the Royal Family's messanger arrives!". If you have something called an "ocarina", you can enter by playing something called Someone's Lulluby," The Goron said. ". . ."Someone's Lulluby"?" Zelda repeated, "I don't know any song by THAT name!"

"It's a song only known by the Royal Family. I forgot the person's name. . .Sorry. . ." Then the Goron went back to it's crouching position. "Jeez, he was helpful. . ."

Zelda got onto the strange mat with a door designed with the pattern of the Goron's Ruby and got out a strange yet familar-looking ocarina. She played this song:

< ^ > < ^ >

"What the--!" Link sounded under his breath, "H-How did you know that song?! How did you get THAT ocarina?!!"

"Got it off this strange-looking guy with green skin and red hair. Peice of paper with that melody was in it; through one of the holes," Zelda explained, not telling the whole truth, as the door opened, "Now come on!" She ran inside of so-called "Big Brother's" room, Link on her tail.

---

Darunia's Room

---

"Who goes there?" Said a macho-sized Goron, "Who are you two humans?"

"I'm Zelda, a theif of Hyrule," Said Zelda, "And this is Link, the prince of Hyrule." The Goron started to laugh hystrically. "What?" Zelda said smartly, "Did I miss something, jackass?" The Goron imediately stopped laughing after she said that.

"No; just the fact that the Prince of Hyrule and a theif of Hyrule are here, before me, when in reality the theif's head should be on the prince's mantel!" The Goron said, "I am Darunia, Big Brother of the Gorons."

"Yeah. . ." Link said, "We kinda figured that out by now. . ." Darunia stomped his foot, causing what seemed to be an earthquake and roared, "STOP BEING SMART, BOY!" Link hid behind Zelda, both in shock and in fear.

"He scares me, Zelda. . ." Link whispered in her ear, fear creeping into his voice. Zelda gulped hard. "I know how you feel, Link. . ." Zelda whispered back in a worried whisper. "Stop having your private conversations!" Darunia roared. He clamped his hands around the spear next to him and ripped it out of the wall.

"What do you want? A fight?" Darunia said, getting into fighting position. "N-No! A-All we want is the Goron's Ruby!"

"Oh!" Darunia said in surprise as he got out of fighting position, "Well, why didn't you say so!. . .Do you have others?" Zelda and Link both dug in their pockets and got the Zora's Saphire and Kokiri Emrald out. "Oh!" Darunia placed the Goron's Ruby into Zelda's hands and closed them, "Keep these with you at all times. . .I wish you luck on you journey. . ."
