you try to look inside of me
to see the feelings and the
heart i so easily hide
behind icy walls of stone

you try to look into my eyes
to try and find the souls hidden
emotion and hidden heart and
all you get is me avoiding your gaze

you want to see what i hide
but you dont care to know why
all you do is try to see with your eyes
instead of seeing with your heart

you dont try to understand what
it is i so desperatly hide from you
you just want to break my walls
to prove i'm hidding

every thing is hidden from your view
and you never figured out why
you say you try to see why i bury
every thing i've ever felt

but you never really did you
just danced around the subject
and told me how i felt rather
than actually asking how i really felt

every thing i am lies hidden from view
and no one manages to be able to see
through every mask and shield i've
constructed to block you from seeing me

you say you want to understand me but
yet you dont try to understand a damn thing
