Third Transformation

Everything seems to be going good today. I'm no longer sick... Tomorrow is a big day for me, and yes... FP.com is FINALLY working again!

------------------

Chaos: I did a poll with three people.

Stixx: What was it about?

Chaos: To see if you or another character was going to die.

Stixx: -_-;; Um...?

Chaos: Don't worry, they seem to like you enough.

Stixx: *relieved, doesn't show it* Oh of course they like me---

Chaos: Deflate the ego or I push the button. *pushes button anyway*

Stixx: Noo...! *screen switches off*

------------------

"I have your blood, I control you." Eon laughed. Stixx writhed around on the ground. Eon smiled and walked over to the pitiful hybrid. "Don't struggle so much. You make me actually wish I could hurt you more..."

Stixx tried his hardest to move his hand. If his hand could move, he would be alright. Eon grabbed his arms and snapped the human one easily into pieces. "Agh...!" Stixx shrieked, his body curling into a tight ball.

Eon smirked. "Don't tell me this hurts `you'. I didn't think this would even phase you!"

Stixx thrashed as Eon clenched his fingers into a fist. Stixx's blood wiggled in pain, as did the hybrid. "Ahh...! Let go! Plea~se!"

Eon laughed maniacally. "Idiot hybrid. Don't tell me you're hurting. It doesn't please me at all."

"I... I thought... You wanted to hurt me..." Stixx growled, blood dripping from his mouth though he clenched his teeth tightly shut.

"I do, but from what I see here, I'll kill you before I get to anything fun." Eon murmured sadly. Eon lifted Stixx up by his broken right arm, still keeping a firm hold on the still functional left one. "Stupid bastard."

Stixx stared at Eon with lifeless bleeding eyes and a half-broken spirit. "..."

"What was that? Maybe...?"

Stixx choked on his next words, before finally swallowing enough blood to smile and speak. "You forget so easily Eon."

Eon frowned, and released Stixx's broken arm. He touched Stixx's stomach lightly. "Mmm, mmm, mmm..." He smiled. "Right... Stixx... The weak being with a one-track mind."

Stixx's demonic arm pulsed angrily in Eon's grip. Stixx's eyes narrowed and darkened to the dangerous blood red. His human hand moved, and then the arm twitched. His newly healed human hand moved swiftly and grabbed the pendants around his neck. Unfortunately, the one that had the dragon was twisted under his shirt. The blue and green glows subsided, leaving Stixx with huge dark wings and his cross sword.

Stixx swiped the sword at Eon, and Eon let him go. Stixx smiled at Eon, before flying backwards. Eon pursued him in the air, without the aid of wings. A sword appeared in his hands as well. This ones blade was twisted near the hilt into almost a spiral or screw, but straightened out farther down the blade.

Stixx recognized the blade very well. He knew what it did and how cruel Eon was with it. His back hit the wall, and Eon smiled before plunging the sword into Stixx's stomach. He twisted the sword, driving it into the wall behind Stixx. Stixx gritted his teeth and squeezed his eyes shut.

Eon tsked. "Open your eyes Stixx."

Stixx obliged sleepily, his body feeling heavy as it stained the wall with blood. "Yes, Eon?"

"Where's Chance?"

//I... Wish... That...//

Chance walked along the sidewalk, studying the people. He knew they weren't real. Speaking with a few of them told him that already. They all told him basically the same thing. To go to the Dry Cleaners and get information there. //Well too bad!// he thought. //I don't want to go to the stupid Dry Cleaners!// He figured that he wasn't being attacked, maimed, or killed, so he would do things his own way. The first thing to do was find out how to get out of here, and then get to Axis and make sure he was okay.

Chance sighed as he came to the edge of the town. The signs had been warning him for a while now. `Exiting Arrill City', or `Warning! Monsters outside City Limits!'. Things like that. Frankly, he didn't care. If he could survive Stixx, Eon, and hiding his feelings for his master... Well, god he was practically indestructible. He snickered softly to himself. Right.

A large thing, that resembled a beetle crossed with a gorilla jumped in front of him. He narrowed his eyes and leapt at it, ripping it to pieces with his bare hands and teeth. As far as he was concerned, he had no time for these little distractions! He needed to make sure his mast... Make sure that Axis was alright! He shredded the turtle/cube thing next, breaking into a run. If Axis was here...

//Fifty years...//

Penelope stared at Seks. He reminded her so much of... Lionel... She sighed softly, and Seks looked at her. "Is something wrong?" he asked.

She sighed again. //He's so courteous... He's so tall... So much like...// She felt tears come to her eyes, and she blinked them away, trying to think of what he had just asked. "No..." she mumured quietly.

"Oh, okay..." Seks said, slightly nervous.

//He's just like Lionel. I must have him... If my love is still strong, he will come with me.//

"I need to go shopping for you, I almost forgot." Garreth murmured.

Penelope's eyes brightened and a plan formulated in her mind. She smiled sweetly at Seks. "Why don't I take him shopping?" she asked. "I mean, you must be busy working and all, so I'll take him."

"There's really no need..." Garreth started to say.

"Really, I'll take him." Penelope said, standing up and dragging Seks along with her. Seks was then dragged right out the door.

//Mine for now... And soon forever...//

Penelope looked at Seks nervously, watching him as he walked along. He noticed her looking at him but said and did nothing. Finally, it got too obvious, and Seks just had to ask.

"Are you sure something isn't wrong?" he asked again. Tears grew in Penelope's eyes, and Seks was horrified that he had hurt her feelings somehow. "I'm sorry, did I say somethin-"

"No!" Penelope almost shouted. She grabbed his arm and held it close to her body. "Listen, I must ask you a question Lionel."

"Lionel?"

Penelope blushed. "Can I call you that please?"

Seks was confused, but decided to let her if she wished. "If you want to, you can."

Penelope blushed even redder, but smiled. "Will you come with me?"

"... What do you mean?"

"Will you live with me dearest Lionel? Will you marry me? I love you!"

//How can one say such a thing when she has not been with me for more than a few hours? How can she say that when she doesn't even know the true me? And I must wonder, who is Lionel?//

"May I ask you a question before answering yours?" Seks asked cautiously.

Penelope smiled. "Of course."

"Who is Lionel?"

//Oh, don't ask that...//

"Guardian Link City? Where is that?" Croix asked curiously.

The stranger smiled at Croix's curiosity. "How can you ask that when you don't know where you are no matter, well where you are?"

Croix flushed. "I just wanted to know..."

The stranger straightened, and looked past Croix, to the large buildings that climbed to the sky. "No, it's okay. Guardian Link City is usually where everyone that entered the game starts. Everything here is very cheap, and there's stores of all kinds, as well as hospitals, police stations, and stuff like that."

"Oh... So-"

"Why didn't you start out here?" the stranger asked. Croix nodded. "Well, as far as I can tell... You weren't brought into the game as the others were."

Croix had a feeling that the stranger wasn't telling him everything, but he let it be. "So why are we here?"

The stranger had a funny smile on his face. "Something important is going to happen here soon..."

//I wish...//

Stixx ignored Eon's question. He knew he wasn't going to be saved by death. If there was a god, he'd be laughing at him and thinking this was quite the right punishment for such a sinner. Eon slapped him across the face, twisting the sword again. Stixx let out a shriek that must have waken the dead. He clutched the air for something to hold, but found nothing. He settled for clenching his fingers into fists so tight his palms bled as his nails cut into them. Eon twisted the sword again and grabbed Stixx's human arm, threatening to break it again.

Stixx yanked his arm from Eon's grasp suddenly, and moved it to his chest. His fingers scrabbled under his shirt for the third pendant. Eon growled, grabbing Stixx's arm, and pulling it away from Stixx's body. It was too late. Eon saw the glee in Stixx's dark eyes before the piercing glow of red filled the room. Eon let go of the sword and released Stixx as if he had been burned. Perhaps he had. The place where Stixx was exploded in flames. The angry fire licked the walls, ceiling, and floor, scorching it a disgusting black. Smoke filled the center of the room. A huge crack split the floor in two, stranding Eon on the side opposite the door. He had nowhere to run, unless he used...

"Magic!" a voice boomed from the center of the room. Then soft laughter filled Eon's ears. "Don't tell me you're scared of a little fire!"

Eon snarled, and tried to teleport away, but found he couldn't. The gap in the floor widened, forcing him to back up to the wall. He saw within was a river of bubbling lava. He could feel the heat from where he stood. It was almost unbearable.

Large black wings erupted from the lava. They spread wide, crushing the walls on both sides of the room. The hard rock crumbled from the pressure the wings created as they spread their full length. A long regal neck surfaced from the lava. Red scales that flickered like the flames that had engulfed the room a little while ago shimmered in the molten glow of the lava. Long pointed ears of the same color were pressed back against its large head. Coal eyes glittered like jewels within the narrow face. Huge fangs overlapped each other. A long forked tongue flicked in and out of the large jaw. A hiss escaped from the mouth, as well as a puff of steam. It was very hot in there...

Long legs with claws pulled themselves from the bubbling matter. The huge wings beat furiously, lifting the huge body up from the magma. The final thing out of the liquid was a long scaly tail, that flicked some of the burning substance at Eon. The dragon landed on the opposite side of the gap, the body sinking a few inches into the weak ground. He smiled, huge fangs gnashing against each other.

//Don't tell me you're scared of me...// the voice spoke to Eon through telepathy. //I know you can hear me...//

Eon looked away and growled at the walls that trapped him where he stood. "I can hear you..." he finally admitted, knowing it was no good to pretend he didn't.

//Ooh! You are scared...// The dragon said with glee. //The great master of magic, afraid of little ole' me??//

A small smile pressed through Eon's frown. "Little?"

The dragon hissed angrily. //Don't play games with me.// The dragons tail lashed back and forth, much like a cats tail in play. //I really do love you, even if you are a cold-hearted bastard, a fickle piece of shit, and a cruel master as well as a sadistic lover.//

"Don't call me your lover." Eon said, not even looking at the dragon.

//If you don't want to be called my lover, look at me and tell me that...// the dragon said, feeling helpless once again.

Eon smiled cruelly, turned to the dragon and spoke in a loud clear voice. "I am not your lover. I never was your lover. I never would taint myself with something like you."

The dragons' eyes widened in pain and fear. //You can speak so cruelly sometimes Eon. I don't know why I still love you, but I do. Gods if they could help me. I hate you, but I still can't help myself from loving you... Bastard!//

"Aww..." Eon cooed sarcastically, walking towards the dragon. The dragon cowered back as if scared. Eon reached out a hand and the dragon leaned towards Eon's touch, wanting that contact... Eon flicked his wrist, and a whip lashed across the dragon's neck. It wiggled a bit before wrapping around the elegant neck, tightening.

The dragon twitched and writhed uncomfortably, refusing to pull away. //I still do not know how you can continue to be so sadistic...//

"Give me back Chance." Eon snarled.

//You have no power over me Eon!//

"I will soon enough."

The dragon let out a hiss of pain, as barbs like spikes drove into its neck from the whip. Thick blue blood slowly dripped from the dragons' neck, splattering against the ground sickeningly. The dragon finally reared up on its hind legs, pulling from the painful whips' bond.

//I can't hate you... But...//

The dragon backed as far away from Eon as he could. Eon smirked. "Are you running away from me?"

//Not exactly.// the dragon spoke. //I have something for you...//

"Oh, a present for me?" Eon asked sarcastically.

The dragon moved lightning quick, stepping on the hilt of his cross sword. It flipped into the air and with a well aimed whack of his tail... It impaled Eon through the chest to the wall behind him. Eon choked on his next words, spitting out blood instead. The dragon seemed to giggle, the sparkling black eyes laughing for him instead.

//Like it? I hope it fits...//

If Stixx had been a sinner, Eon was practically the one who created them. Death seemed too nice for him as well. "Do we switch places then?" Eon said weakly.

//That depends. Am I cruel enough to just leave you here?//

Eon's eyes narrowed dangerously. "If you want me to beg you for something, I will not."

//I never said I wanted that. It never even crossed my mind. But now that you mention it, that is something I would like very much, Eon.//

Eon smiled with his eyes narrowed in the exquisite pain he was feeling. "You always wanted something you couldn't have Stixx."

//If you beg now, I'll grant you death.//

"What is this Stixx? Just death? No riches, or immortality, or at the least a very swift and painless one?" Eon mocked, feeling lightheaded.

//You don't deserve any of that...//

"Oh, of course." Eon said agreeably. He smiled sickly at the dragon.

The dragon smiled widely, the large fangs grinding against one another. //Do you think you deserve it?//

"Perhaps." Eon said, fiddling with the blade of the sword.

//Do you want down?// the dragon teased, as if he were speaking to Chance all over again.

Eon was well aware of Stixx's twisted humor. "No, I like the pain." he insisted.

//If you say so.// the dragon says with a smile. The smile turned ugly, the fangs dripping drool into the hot lava below. //You even like pain more than me.//

Eon grinned, his eyes flashing dangerously. "Of course. It's something I can stand."

//I should kick you into the damn lava.//

Eon snickered, looking away. "If you had the guts you would." His eyes turned soft, but Stixx did not see them. "Maybe..." //If I had the guts... I would love you.//

The dragon growled. //The guts. The guts. The only way you'd love my guts is if I spread them out before you!// He turned his head away, and with a powerful swipe, he ripped Eon from the sword and sent him falling into the lava below.

//Ahhh.... Eon! I love you you know? Why... do you hate me so much...?// The dragon heard the hissing of the lava. Large tears fell from the glittering onyx eyes. The dragon slowly melted into the figure of Stixx. Stixx fell to his knees by the pit of lava. He looked over the edge, crystal tears no longer falling but staining his cheeks. He ripped the dragon necklace from his neck, feeling the burning on his skin from the place the dragon pendant had been.

"How dare you..." he growled at it. He held it over the lava, watching the chain wrap around his wrist to prevent him from dropping it. "I wish I could destroy you... I really do... But he's right. I have no guts to give. And destroying you wouldn't do a thing." he murmured. He let out an anguished cry and let his head fall back. "I hate you!" he shouted. Even as he did so, the necklace slithered over his arm and back to his neck, where it reclasped itself. The ground shook violently and started to close up again.

//Ahh Eon... My hate for you is so strong... How can this love of mine be so much stronger? I vowed to destroy your love, and then vowed to destroy you. And I did... But I still don't feel complete! Why am I tortured still? It is no fair... You''re dead, and that's where I wish to be! Now I must live on, while you rest! I hate you!//

Stixx stood up, his eyes dark. The ground melded together again, until it was one piece again. Swallowing up his love, and the evidence of the gruesome death as well. Stixx growled deep in his throat. "You're dead. Why...? Why the hell do I want to kill you again?"
