Fan Fiction ❯ Hybrid Genesis ❯ Creation ( Chapter 9 )
Creation
A/N: Well, we sort of go back to Croix/Seks storyline for a while... sort of...
Chiave mumbled in her sleep, rolling over to reach for the phone. She picked it up. "What the hell is it?"
Unk giggled. "Mistress..." she whined pitifully.
"What do you want?!"
"Come play..."
Croix blinked as he woke. Fingers were tracing a pattern down his side, and ooh, well that sort of felt... "GAH!" Croix backed away, falling out of the bed.
"Master, are you all right?" Seks asked worriedly, as he leaned over the bed to see if Croix was okay.
"What, what... What are you... Doing... What... Happen... Oh god..."
Seks cringed. "So... you want me to leave?"
"Yes! No! I don't know!" Croix said, untangling himself as he managed to stand up. "... Where are my pants?"
Croix sighed as he sat down at the table. He read the newspaper, had his coffee, dumped half of it down the sink and went to go work on his current case. The usual. Seks pouted in the corner, wondering why he was here if he wasn't going to be used. Seks flicked a piece of silver hair over his shoulder, and Croix looked over at him, glaring.
"What do you want?"
"To go for a walk?" Seks asked hopefully.
"No." Croix said, going back to his work. Seks' ears drooped and he let his tail thump against the floor to rest there dejectedly. Croix looked over at him and sighed. "That's not nice, using a guilt trip."
"Ple~ase?" Seks begged, hoping he wasn't overstepping his boundaries too much.
"Get up, let's go." Croix fingered the new collar he had bought before slipping it around Seks' neck. "Remember, don't take it off."
Seks nodded eagerly as Croix clipped the leash on. Croix led Seks from the house. The two walked down the street. Croix kept his hands in his pockets and his head down, trying not to pay attention to Seks, who was looking every which way as if he had never seen anything before in his life.
Screams disrupted the silence, and Seks looked around a moment before he sniffed the air. Before Croix could stop him Seks took off, the leash slipping from Croix' fingers. "Shit!" Croix cursed, running after his hybrid.
Seks didn't understand why he was running so fast, or more importantly why he was running from Croix. He felt something so strong, so powerful, and so alluring he had to go find it! It was driving him mad as he ran around, twirling a few times as if he could possibly see everywhere at once. He shook his head after a moment, running east.
Croix gasped for breath. "Damnit! I'm not a marathon runner!"
Chance sat straight up from where he had been laying. Something was wrong. His ears flicked back and forth, perking from their usual droopy state. He banged on Axis' door as hard as he could, blinking as it splintered and broke. Axis glared at him as he woke.
"What the hell do you think you're doing Chance?!"
"Something's wrong sir! Please, come... with me!"
"You aren't going anywhere, and neither am I." Axis ordered.
"I'm afraid I can't obey your command." Chance said softly.
"What?" Axis said, not daring to believe it.
"I must go. Please come with me."
Cold grey-blue stared into pleading green and gold. Finally Axis got up, and dressed swiftly. "This had better be important."
Chance flattened his ears down. "It is, master. I know it is."
Seks raced through the park, pigeons screaming in fury and taking to the sky as he ran past. Seks stopped suddenly, looking up. Seks ears went flat to his head, his tail bunching up until it looked like a gigantic fluffy caterpillar. His wings tensed angrily, the muscles bulging from them, making them look more demonic than dragon-like. His skin was taut, the muscles pulling the pale stripes apart to show dangerous powerful muscle. The golden eyes that were slitted down the middle were narrowed, looking very menacing.
Croix came a moment later, breathing hard. He rested against a tree, his sides aching. He had every intention of stalking over to his pet and beating him senseless... Even if currently, the appearance of his pet scared the shit out of him. He started forward, but stopped as he looked up. Floating above them was another hybrid. Croix didn't recognize it as a type from the book. It must've been a newer type or something.
The hybrid had long straight black hair and light purple-maroon colored eyes. It looked human enough, one arm that looked completely human... But the other had claws and strange pulsing dark purple veins that were wrapped about the slim arm, bending it awkwardly where bones should have been. When the hybrid narrowed its eyes, the color seemed to be completely red. As it landed on the ground, the hair behind it cascaded over the ground behind him, the tips seeming to twitch like living tendrils.
The creature wore a leather shirt, three silver buckles holding straps that crossed from the ribs on the left side to the shoulder on the right. The leather was smooth and shiny looking, tight over the muscles that defined the chest. The pants were made of the same material, hanging low on slim hips. Three thick straps of silver wrapped around the creatures' thighs, and three more straps wrapped around the calves. Black thigh high boots remained unlaced, hanging around his legs instead of against them. He had black fingerless gloves and three pendants hanging from three silver chains around his neck. One had a dragon, one a circle with a feather inside, and the last a thin cross with a pointy end.
He looked over to Seks, and spoke in a thickly accented voice. "You want to fight?"
Chance continued to run, even though Axis protested. They had been running forever, and Axis didn't have the stamina to keep going, even if he was in good shape. He was most definitely surprised when Chance didn't leave him behind and instead, lifted him up and carried him.
"P-Put me down!" Axis demanded.
"I can't, we must hurry master!"
"Don't call me master, I told you to address me as sir!"
"Yes, sir!"
"Now put me down!"
"I cannot, sir!" Chance said, and Axis sighed.
Chiave moved slightly in her bed. It was strangely cold. She blinked her eyes open, expecting to see her pets. None of them were there. She felt a strange coldness come over her and she sat up quickly. That was when her brain registered the alarms ringing like crazy. She exited the room, pulling on a robe. She stopped the first worker she could see.
"What is going on?" she demanded.
"Unk, Deuce, Catte, and Sinqo have escaped!" the man stuttered nervously.
Shock came over Chiave, and she blinked a few times, her mouth dropping open. She slowly turned around and walked back into the room she had come from. She fell onto the bed and buried her face into the pillow. Oh gods, this was too much, way too much for her right now...
Deuce ran as fast as he could through the woods. He leapt into the air again. He had been flying for the longest time, and had rested a moment by running... if he could call that resting. He noticed Unk, Catte, and Sinqo were also flying. He nodded to the three brunettes.
He flew faster, his short silver hair whipping around like crazy in the wind he was facing. His pale skin flexed as his dragon wings beat the wind hard. He propelled himself forward, faster and faster each time he flapped his mighty wings. He didn't know why, but he had to get somewhere. Something unexplainable was calling to him...
Unk smiled at her twins. Their black hair streaked with green seemed so beautiful in the sky. She marveled at their dark golden skin. It was always so beautiful to look at. Too bad Troix wasn't here with her dark skin and blonde hair. She always had loved that blonde, with the white streaks making her seem so impossibly fake.
She missed the long gold and white fall of hair over her tortured skin, remembering when it used to soothe the sting of the whips that she had always gotten. She watched the tiger stripes flexing on the bodies of her fellow violet breeds. All of them were very beautiful.
Sinqo was having the hardest time of them all keeping up. She was the youngest, and didn't have as much experience flying. She also didn't like leaving her master. She was probably the most loyal though, considering that she took the `source' last.
She looked over to Deuce, watching the muscles in his shoulders and back working as the dragon wings flew him faster than the others. She looked over to her `sisters', watching their muscles working as they flew. She gasped for breath, trying to remember to keep breathing despite the wind forcing its way down her throat.
Catte stared straight ahead. If she squinted and looked hard enough, she was pretty sure she saw... "Land!" she cried out, surging forward with unexpected power. She was excited. The feeling that had almost faded while flying, washed over her again and she purred.
The anticipation was growing within her. Something or someone was over there, calling to them all. She had to get there. She wanted to see this thing. This thing that called so strongly she was willing to betray her master and escape. Something that she never would have done if not for this.
Chance skidded to a stop, setting Axis down. Before Axis could demand to know anything, Chance took off running. Axis groaned in disbelief. He had no choice but to run after his hybrid. As soon as he was sure he had lost Chance, he saw him again, crouched down low to the ground, and snarling furiously.
Axis ran up, surprised to see another human there. The man had short dark brown hair, which seemed to be quite messy. He had probably been running after his psycho hybrid as well. His eyes met with the piercing blue and Axis looked up into the sky to see what the man was looking at. His jaw dropped to the ground.
Deuce landed first, running now. His body ached, but the feeling that was calling to him was too powerful for him to care at all. Catte landed next, then Unk, then Sinqo. They all ran after Deuce, heading for a destination unknown.
Sinqo had to admit to herself that she was glad they had landed. All that water she had been flying over had made her quite sick. She didn't want to go through that again, though she figured she'd have to if she went back to Chiave. She blinked, her footsteps faltering a moment. If she went back? When was that if there?
Catte was practically drooling with excitement. Oh, this was so perfect! This feeling was completely filling her soul. Her tail flicked back and forth as if dancing as she ran. She never wanted to go back to Chiave for some reason! She was free right now, free and going towards her destiny! It had to be her destiny!
Unk went after her younger `siblings'. They weren't really related, she figured. I mean, how could they have been? They were made by scientists for crying out loud. The feeling inside of her pulled her faster and faster until she was running as fast as her body could go. Her wings lifted her slightly off the ground so she could run even faster.
Deuce came to a stop, hearing his `sisters' doing the same thing. He looked up, and blinked in surprise. Wasn't that Seks? The girl hybrids were equally surprised, each remembering Seks. Was he fighting? Why? And who was that? Their attention dropped to the two humans and the other hybrid. At the sight of the anger the hybrid was giving off, they felt anger rise in their hearts too.
All four of the hybrids felt their ears twitching before pinning to their heads. Their dragon eyes narrowed and their wings flexed. They itched to fight, even though they were pleasure types. They weren't built for battle, still they wanted to fight so badly...
Seks was snarling uncontrollably, not sure what he was snarling for. "Fight..." he hissed.
"Stop it!" Croix commanded.
Seks ignored him completely, leaping forward into combat.
