God Legacy

Oh! By the way, please if you two use my characters, first give me some credit (please?), and remember to return them unharmed. I can't work with sick and broken characters you know... -_- Though, I'm probably going to be breaking them a lot more than you two are... Angst people, angst.

------------------

Yumy: You're going to make everyone hate me, aren't you SSC?

Chaos: Hmm... Maybe.

Yumy: That is SO not fair! You just hate girls!

Chaos: Correction. I hate girls in anime that take the boys away from other boys who deserve them more than those obnoxious girls do. I like girls in the real world.

Yumy: *narrows eyes* I hate you. And for your information, anime girls are NOT obnoxious!

Chaos: Most of them are! ... Most of the time too!

Croix: I don't appreciate the way my hybrid keeps making me look like the bad guy. I am NOT the bad guy!

Chaos: Right. *walks away*

Croix: Hey---! Ugh. So what are to expect this time?

Chaos: *walks back* Expect a cameo from someone who wanted to appear in the story. Sort of. Sadly, she won't be here for long, but I promise that she will appear again, sometime. Please don't kill me! Also... I'm borrowing Coyote and Styorm from "From Within the Storms I Fly", a.k.a. Rain. Muchly appreciated.

Coyote: `Muchly' isn't a word.

Chaos: ... Oh shut up. *turns off screen*

Croix opened his eyes sleepily, his vision hazy a moment before it slowly cleared. He sat up slowly, his body aching despite the comfortable bed he was on. He slowly swung his legs to the side of the bed and pushed himself up feeling woozy as he did. He leaned over onto a nightstand to regain his balance when he sensed another being in the room. Immediately he was on alert, but a cool and collected voice came before his eyes fixed on the girl who was sitting against a wall across the room from him.

"It's no use you know... But flying pigs and blackberry muffins will suffice!"

Croix blinked a moment, staring at the red-headed female. She looked up at him and he shivered as he saw her peculiar eyes. They were red. Croix opened his mouth to speak. "W-"

"Shh!" the girl said, holding up her hand to quiet him. "Do you hear... Something?"

"..."

"That damn buzzing..."

"..."

"NO~OOO!!! I CAN'T ESCAPE IT!!!" the girl screamed.

"... Um, are you okay...?" Croix asked nervously, backing away from the girl.

"My name is Nieni." Nieni said with a sadistic smile.

Croix wished desperately that he was alone. He even shut his eyes as tight as he could and prayed! After a while of silence, he opened his eyes. Nieni was gone. Croix sighed in relief, until a familiar voice came from behind him.

"What were you doing?" Nieni asked. "You looked funny."

Croix whimpered softly, and steeled himself to face Nieni. Nieni touched his shoulder and Croix felt something like a shock run through his body. He crumpled over on the ground. Nieni smirked as she saw Croix in his pitiful state. Her eyes burned into a dark golden and then glowed blue. Her body changed as did her voice when she spoke again.

"Feeling `happy'?" Yumy asked with a little laugh.

Yumy kneeled next to Croix, watching his anguished eyes. Then she stood and slowly walked away, her bootheels clicking on the hard wooden floor. She wheeled around suddenly, her head cocked to one side and her expression thoughtful.

"Do you have someone important to you, Croix?"

Croix looked at her, his eyes dark with pain and exhaustion. Yumy seemed like a cat, as she circled Croix's crumpled body. She hissed softly, and smiled, showing far too many teeth. Croix closed his eyes, trying to forget what he just saw.

"Do you know what's important to me? Getting my way. I want to see some action..." Yumy continued. "Like... Sex... But more like, rape. I want to see you suffer."

Croix's eyes snapped open, but before he could move, he was lifted off the ground by a strong arm. He didn't have the energy to fight, much less turn to see who it was. He felt his hands being bound and tied to something sturdy. He yanked weakly on his arms, but it was no use. Croix was tied with his arms above him while he was on his knees. It was completely uncomfortable, not to mention vulnerable.

In seconds he felt naked. A wet tongue trailing down his back told him that he was. He heard a pleasurable growl from someone or something behind him, and rough fingers touching him harshly. Croix let out a muffled shriek, biting his tongue from disgust. His stomach lurched and he fought back the strong urge to vomit. He heard Yumy cackling softly in the background, and ordering whoever was molesting him to do more and more...

//This isn't happening, this just isn't happening...//

Seks' arm twitched. He slowly came back to consciousness, with a pounding headache to welcome him. He groaned softly and shifted his body to one side, checking for injuries. It didn't seem too good. His body felt like it had been pummeled by... Well, he wasn't sure yet, but it was dismal.

He forced himself to sit up and cringed. He licked blood off his left arm, while the other arm was wrapped securely around his waist. His right arm was completely covered in blue and brown ugly bruises. His stomach and chest didn't feel right, and he knew that his face was still bleeding from somewhere.

He stumbled along the darkness, feeling rocky texture against his left hand. He tripped a few times over what seemed to be rocks and other debris. He coughed, the hacking making his whole body shriek in pain. He winced and let out a long wail, which echoed around him. He dropped to his knees and doubled over, crying softly.

After a while, he felt a little better and started to drag himself across the ground. He wasn't sure where he was going, and didn't have that reassuring feeling that he was going the right way. He just wished that he was. After what seemed like forever, he had enough strength to crawl slowly.

Ten hours later or rather, the time it felt like, he saw a light up ahead. He gritted his teeth and ordered his body to continue moving. When he emerged in the light, he saw a busy city. It had skyscrapers and large buildings. Cars whizzed by on paved streets, and lights flashed from everywhere. People crowded the sidewalks, shoving their way to their destinations.

It didn't occur to Seks why there was a city here, but when he had crawled out onto the sidewalk and looked behind him, all he saw was a huge building with the words [Beriam Corp.]. He crawled along the sidewalk, wincing whenever a person bumped into him. They didn't seem to find it odd that he was so beaten up, and they didn't try to help him either.

He dragged himself into a hospital and grabbed the nearest doctors' coat. He wasn't sure what happened then, but the next thing he knew, he was being bandaged and cleaned up. He was then sent back out onto the streets before he had even gotten the idea of what just happened.

He slowly walked along the streets, staring at the people. He was at least a head taller than everyone else, so he sort of stood out. Not to mention the long silver hair, the ears, the tail, the wings... No other hybrids seemed to be around. The people didn't seem to notice him either. They just kept with their busy schedules and shoved past him.

He watched as a man studied a clock shop, walked away, studied the bakery next door, then walked back to the clock shop, studied it, and then walked back to the bakery. Seks raised an eyebrow, but decided that if the man wanted to do that, then fine. After a while, he began to recognize the people as they crossed the streets, entered various shops, and then exited, and crossed the street to repeat the process again.

It seemed like everyone was working mechanically, doing only one thing over and over. What did this remind him of...? He made his way across the street, and stopped a person who was walking by.

"Can you help me?" he asked loudly, the noise of the city almost drowning out his near shout.

The person stopped and looked at him, then spoke. "You should go to the furniture store to receive information." Then the person walked away.

Seks stood there a moment before hurrying the rest of the way across the street. He stopped another person, but got almost the exact same answer. He stared strangely at the people, before looking around for the furniture store. He didn't have to look far. A huge sign saying [Howard's Furniture] loomed overhead.

He walked into the store. Inside, the people were doing their strange repeat processes here as well. One man stood behind the single cash register, tapping his foot and whistling while staring up at the ceiling. Seks made his way over to the man. As soon as he opened his mouth to speak, the man spoke first.

"Hello, and welcome to Howard's Furniture store! The place for furniture and information. I'm Howard. What can I do for you today?"

A panel slid from the counter, revealing two red buttons. One was labeled [buy] and the other said [information]. The man stared at him with a big smile, waiting expectantly. Seks looked at him warily, and then pressed the red button for information. Howard beamed, and the panel slid back over the buttons, hiding them from view.

"You're in a game called [God Legacy]! Around the world, five hundred lucky people have been chosen to test GL, the finest and most advanced interactive role playing game in the seventy-sixth (hope this is right) century!" He paused and Seks started to speak, but Howard started again. "The object of the game is to complete all of the side quests as well as the main one without losing your life. Over time you will gain more `lives' as well as objects and such. If you are low on health, go to a hospital and they will patch you up, but beware of your money situation. Some hospitals require a fee, and if you don't have the money, you won't be helped. --

"You can buy items as well to make yourself stronger. Your skills will increase over time as well to make you stronger. You must buy food once in a while, because you will get hungry. You also must rest, like in the real world. Once you complete the game, you will exit the game and you may claim your reward. If you die here... You die in real life as well."

Howard was quiet, so Seks started to speak, and was relieved that Howard didn't start up again. "So... I'm in a game? But how?"

Howard looked at him strangely. "What?"

Seks stared at Howard a moment before walking away. He made his way outside and stared at the people walking by. He slowly walked down the street, looking at everything. Everything looked so real! He touched the wall of a building. It was smooth and cool; refreshing from the heat that seemed to be following him. He rested there a long time, feeling his eyes slowly closing. He was drifting off to sleep when he heard the scream.

//So tired... So hot... So painful...//

Chance held his body absolutely still, ignoring the cramps and urges to move from his body. They got stronger and stronger, and the only thing he could seem to think about was how much he wished to move. He continued holding himself still, barely breathing. The second he let himself relax, he knew that the pain would come. Then he would be breathing hard, and the band around his neck would choke him..

He felt moisture gather at his eyes and he wanted very badly to wipe it away. A tense whimper escaped his clenched lips, the noise audible. It no longer was the torture of silence, but now the torture of never-ending sound. The whimper echoed around the room for the longest time, beating against his nerves.

Finally he let himself relax, losing the battle against his reflexes. Screams filled the room as pain entered his body. The band of metal sliced deep into his neck, and he felt blood slipping around it. He clenched his teeth and squeezed his eyes shut, finding that place of silence for just a moment before he lost it again, and the pain returned harsher than before.

Eon sat in the corner of the dark room, reading a book quietly. He occasionally shifted to change the page, but otherwise did not move. He didn't seem to notice Chance, writhing in pain and screaming as loud as he could. He didn't even seem to breathe, and perhaps he wasn't. He sat calmly, turning the page and reading some more.

Chance finally felt his body shut down and he passed into unconsciousness. Before he could catch his breath in this sweet nirvana, the cruelty of reality slipped back and he was screaming again. He finally bit his tongue, feeling the blood wash through his mouth. It dripped from his jaws, and made soft pattering sounds as it hit the surface he was on.

Eon's gaze went to Chance a moment, staring at him over the edge of the book before it dropped back to the letters on the pages. Chance was staring at the ceiling without really seeing anything at all. Eon turned a few more pages before closing the book and standing up. He dropped the book onto the chair he was sitting on and walked over to Chance.

"Feeling better lovely?"

Chance stared at the ceiling, unresponsive. Eon smacked him across the face, and Chance's head lolled to the side. The dark green eyes looked at Eon passively. The flecks of gold seemed to sparkle a moment before they faded and died out. Eon smiled softly, running fingers over Chance's face.

His blueish-black eyes traced the frail frame of Chance's body. It looked so weak and vulnerable then. Chance relaxed for once and the pain did not come. He breathed softly, silently thanking every god and goddess he knew of.

Eon chuckled. "You don't have to call me a god."

Chance gritted his teeth, and immediately the pain came back. He refused to scream this time though. Eon watched in pleasure as blood started to seep from old scars on Chance's body. He ripped one of them that was on the stomach open some more. He smiled as Chance ground his teeth together, trying not to scream. Finally he could bear it no longer, and he screamed.

//Kill me... Please just kill me...//

Croix stared at the girl that had just entered the room. It was Nieni, and she said she was the real one. Actually, when Croix had mentioned there had been another, she had gone slightly crazy for a few hours, but she seemed stable now. Croix looked away, to the wall, which seemed quite interesting in this boring prison.

His body ached from the torture Yumy had had her slaves put him through. He thought that he should feel a lot worse than he did, especially since not seven hours ago he had been raped... repeatedly. He closed his eyes. Somehow, nothing really seemed to matter to him anymore.

He drifted along a daydream, or perhaps it was a nightdream. He wasn't sure if it was day or night. He wasn't sure of anything. The sun was shining through the window, but he was sure it had been up longer than it should have been. The hours seemed like minutes and the minutes seemed like hours. The day was never-ending, and he knew that when the door opened...

Yumy smiled as she entered the room. "You are no fun, did you know that? No attempts to escape..."

Croix looked at her with dull eyes, not sure why he didn't care. "No, I can't..."

"I can't punish you now though." Yumy said with a sad pout.

"Do you want to punish me?" Croix asked softly, his voice foreign to even himself.

"Of course!" Yumy shouted exuberantly. Her eyes sparkled and a long cat tail twitched back and forth behind her.

Croix stood and walked to Yumy. Yumy looked at Croix funny. Croix slapped Yumy across the face, and she fell to the floor shocked. "You can punish me now..." Croix said, still in the soft voice.

Yumy stood, outraged. "Do not touch me, ever!" She backhanded him across the face, sending him to the floor.

Croix stared at the wall he was now facing. His body seemed lazy, and his mind wasn't working right. He stayed there, listening to the sounds of Yumy throwing a tantrum. Croix closed his eyes and watched the pictures that danced across his eyelids. He smiled softly, and then laughed.

Yumy stopped her tantrum and looked over at Croix quizzically. Croix stopped laughing after a while and seemed to be asleep. Yumy wrinkled her nose and walked out of the room, slamming the door after her angrily. She walked away through the busy streets of the city, the place she just came from disappearing into thin air.

"Stupid crazy bastard..." Yumy mumbled.

//In another world, another place, another time...//

Seks ran towards the screaming and ducked into the alley, following the sound. At the end of the alley he saw a man pinning down a woman. She was already half naked, and he had a knife to her neck. The woman saw Seks, and he darted into the shadows. The woman was terrified and started screaming that she saw a demon.

The man slapped her, and she started screaming to the lord to save her. Seks leapt down from his perch on the fire escape, and knocked the man to the ground. The man cursed and Seks quickly took the knife. The lady looked at him and backed away, shivering.

"I'm not going to hurt you miss..." Seks said softly, holding the man down easily.

"What the hell are you man?!" the man said, squirming and fighting as hard as he could but doing absolutely nothing to Seks' steel grip.

"W-Who are you?" the lady asked.

"My name is..." Seks paused. "I don't have a name."

The lady smiled softly. "You're my prince!"

"Prince?" Seks repeated.

"Prince?!" the man shouted, struggling harder. "Get off of me now!"

The lady pulled up a scrap of her dress, holding it so she was covered slightly. "Yes, you're my prince. I have something for you!" She picked up a ragged purse from the ground and took out some strange gold coins. She handed them to Seks, and then smiled at him. She leaned over and kissed his cheek, then ran off.

"Get off of me!" the man shouted again.

"Who are you?" Seks asked the man, fingering the coins with one hand while the other effectively pinned the man down.

"I'm going to kill you!" the man yelled.

Seks had the strangest urge to laugh, but he didn't. "Funny name. Are you part of the game?"

The man paused a moment than laughed. "Hah! Right, like I'm part of this stupid game! I'm a player in this game, and if you're part of this game..."

"I assure you, I am not part of this game... In fact, I don't know anything about it..." Seks said, releasing the mans' wrists but blocking the alley so the man could not run. "Could you tell me a little about it?"

The man looked at him a little strangely, studying him for the first time. "What kind of freak are you?"

Seks' ears drooped. "I'm a hybrid..."

"Oh, you're one of those things. I've heard about you things, but I never knew... You'd be so tall..." The man said, having to look quite a ways up to meet eyes with Seks. "I'm Garreth... Not that I know why I'm telling you this... but..."

He sighed, and Seks took this moment to study him. Garreth had strange brown hair. It was messy in the front, sort of sticking up in some places, but in the back it was straight and hung to his shoulders. He had dark chocolate eyes, that seemed to have some asian origin. He was average height and weight for a human, seeming to be in his early twenties.

Garreth ran his fingers through his hair and sighed. "You're going to die so fast in this game... Damn... Now I have to adopt you."

Seks looked at Garreth curiously. "Adopt me?"

//And so it ends and so it begins, this is the end of Hybrid Genesis; First Season//

Chaos: Hehe, wow, so much fun.

Croix: So, what do you mean by `First Season'?

Chaos: Okay, it's something like this...

Croix: ...

Chaos: ... Actually, no, nevermind. I don't know! ^^;;

Croix: *facefault*

Seks/No Name: So what's going to happen in the `Second Season'?

Chaos: Who says there's going to be a `Second Season'?

Seks/No Name: There has to be. You used `First' therefore there must be something after that.

Chance: Hehe, he's got you there.

Chaos: ... Shut, up... Anyway, Coyote and Styorm... Whichever one of you made me think of food while I was writing... Curse you, curse you! Insatiable appetite in the middle of creative work?! Curse you!

Croix: I think they get the point...

Chaos: Whatever. See you later, maybe...?

Chaos & Croix & Seks/No Name & Axis & Chance & Madi & Yumy & Garreth & Deuce & Unk & Chiave... & uh, all the rest of the people...: Bye!

Chaos: ... Stixx...

Stixx: No, I refuse to do that.
