Croix sat at the computer at the main library. He touched the printer icon on the screen and the poor abused printer started to creak and groan as it spit out another paper. He had been searching for about four hours for any information involving hybrids and their nature. He also had been reading about Chiave. It was just a hunch of his.

He sighed and stretched. It had been the first real movement he had made besides touching the screen to get what he wanted. He leaned back, watching the old printer scan the computer and then spit out the exact pictures and words that had been on the screen moments before.

Croix touched an `x' on the screen and the windows that had been building up closed. He sighed and leaned back in his chair, exhaling deeply. He heard the pitiful coughing of the printer and recognized it as done. He picked up all the papers and stacked them neatly. Then, he left the library.

Time to find you...

Chiave giggled as her new `pet' Seks crawled on his hands and knees towards her. Yes, this was how he was supposed to act. She petted his head and he purred throatily, closing his eyes slightly in contentment. She smacked him across the face and he whimpered.

"Since when do you get pleasure before me Seks? You do not even deserve to kiss my feet." She whirled around, slowly pulling her shirt off. "You must beg me to give you pleasure. And first you will pleasure me."

"Yes Master..."

"Don't speak!" she yelled, turning and kicking him in the face. He was sent sprawling across the floor like a ragdoll. "I did not give you permission!"

She giggled as he groveled and crawled back to her. This was so satisfying! She was very glad she had decided to use the serum on him. The serum was called `source'. When one had this serum, she could give it to another, and they would do everything she said.

Unfortunately, she could only give it to one person or thing, and then it would no longer work on anyone else. She had in turn, each of her hybrids administer the drug to one another. The last one, Sinqo, had given it to Seks. Now, she was all his. She giggled again at her triumph.

Stupid Croix, trying to stop her from getting what she wanted. Now he would see. If he ever came, she would have Seks kill him personally! Nobody denied Master Chiave Sleutel what she wanted! She could have the whole world, and she would get it if she pleased! No one could stop her!

She smirked as Seks looked up at her with his lovely golden eyes. Oh how she treasured those jewels that sparkled in brilliance. Yes, he was by far the most lovely of her violet breeds. Her other ones, paled in comparison to this shining star.

She looked over to the corner where the other five were. "Unk! Catte! Sinqo!" she called. Three of the girls looked up. They looked like twins with deep golden skin and short black hair with green streaks in the strands. They pranced over, giggling. "Tie him up." Chiave ordered with a sadistic smirk. Oh yes, she'd have him begging...

Troix walked across the room carefully, her long golden hair with white streaks flashing in the moonlight. She pranced daintily over to Seks, her dark skin almost black in the midnight. She growled, and was surprised to see that Seks was up in an instant. She sniffed the air in front of him, her ears flattening to her head.

"You smell different. No longer the humanity, no life. You are dead to me. Dead to everyone. Chiave may not care that she sucked the life from you, but you are completely dead, thanks to the `source'."

"What?" asked Seks. He was sleepy, but also completely awake.

"Heh." She kicked him hard, sending him to slide across the floor. He dug his claws into the ground, skidding to a stop almost immediately. "Bastard. You will not live much longer!"

She leapt forward, her claws and teeth bared. She reached out, ready to grab his neck and rip him to pieces. He dodged easily, backing away to a corner. She approached him like a stalking tiger.

"I---" Seks started.

"How dare you!" Troix cut him off. "How DARE you!"

"FUCK OFF!" Seks yelled, running up to her. He grabbed her arms, hurling her across the room. She flipped over midair, landing somewhat gracefully on her feet.

"You bastard mind-slave! Don't you ever touch me!"

A silver head poked up from the pile of violet hybrids. A figure with pale skin slithered from the pile and crawled a few more feet before sitting and watching the two. Short silver hair shook as the figure shook to wake itself. The figure was Deuce, the only male of the violet breed type except for Seks.

"I'm not even going to ask what you two are doing." he mumbled sleepily. "I just wish you would do it quieter." Troix turned and lunged at him, strangling him with her bare hands. He fought back immediately, struggling like crazy. "Are you nuts?! Let go!"

"You're a bastard too! All you do is listen to HER!"

"What the fuck, you want me to listen to you too?!" He kicked her off.

She slid a few feet before digging her nails into the floor, effectively stopping herself. "Fuck you both! I can't believe you would---" She screamed in pain and then collapsed on the floor.

Unk and Catte watched with interest. Sinqo dropped the needle and let it roll away. She sighed and shuffled back over to the warmth of Unk and Catte, falling back asleep. Seks curled up in a ball at the opposite side of the room. Deuce stayed where he was, half-sprawled on the floor, staring at Seks. His eyes slowly drifted over to Troix. Then to the three twin females. Then, he looked down.

"I hate this." he muttered, crawling over to Troix to keep her warm for the night. "Please, don't kill me." he mumbled to the unconscious blonde.

Croix growled in frustration. He closed his eyes and breathed slowly and calmly. He was sitting on the middle of his bed, meditating of sorts. He finally gave up on that piece of insanity, opening his eyes and letting himself stare at the mirror. It stared back at him, almost as if mocking.

"Oh shut up." he told his reflection. "I'll find a way. I'll get to it."

Truth was, he wasn't sure if he would get to it. What was he supposed to get to anyway? He was pretty sure that Chiave was a busy woman. He wouldn't be able to call her (duh), he wouldn't be able to just go over and say `Hi neighbor'. Besides, she wasn't his neighbor. He had no relation to her, and for that he was somewhat grateful.

"What am I supposed to do? I swear... I can't... Help... Please... Give me a chance..."

He closed his eyes again, trying to concentrate on his meditation. It was supposed to help him relieve all this damned stress that was preventing him from working. He had a job, he couldn't just stop working. He needed the money to keep the house and food. He rubbed at the sore muscles on his face, wondering when and how his life got so complicated.

Chiave laughed in her falsetto, hoping to the gods that this stupid reunion would be over soon. She hated her mother so much, and she knew her mother had no liking for her either. Her mother was a damned leech, only visiting to get money.

Money that Chiave would never give that fucking witch. She gritted her teeth and imitated her mother's falsetto laugh. It was like mocking, without letting anyone else but the person know that she was making fun of you. Her mother glared at her. She smirked, excusing herself from the room. She went down the hallways, giggling. Oh she felt so evil.

All of a sudden, her cellphone rang. She answered it in an annoyed tone, hoping it would deter the caller. "Hello?"

"Ma'am! Master Chiave Sleutel! Seks has escaped!"

"WHAT?!"

Seks made a quick prayer as he ran down the hall. He had to laugh at least once, so he let himself laugh. He felt so wicked, running away from his master who he adored so much. Adored, worshipped, idolized. He couldn't remember what she had done to deserve such praise. All he knew was that he had to do it.

Troix had got him thinking that last night though. Just a mind-slave who listened to everything she said? Every little thing she ordered? Followed every rule and listened to what she forbade? Well, not this time. He wanted to do something first. Pay someone a little `visit'.

I hope you'll be glad to see me... `Master' Croix.

Troix listened to the frantic screaming and shouting of workers and servants. Hell, they were the same thing. Slaves. She smirked as she thought of Seks. Seks the loyal slave... turned bad.

Good job Seks. I knew you wouldn't last long. Bastard.

She grinned to herself. She knew someone was behind her. She turned to come face to face with Deuce. She narrowed her eyes and put on the cruelest face she could. It was hard, being a pleasure type. She never had to know any fighting skills, so it wasn't natural for her.

"What the hell do you want?" she snapped.

"I know what you did." Deuce said calmly.

Damn him for being so calm. I hate him. I hate the stupid bastard. He'll go next. I know he will go next. I will kill him if he refuses to leave himself...

"And what did I do?" asked Troix innocently.

"You're the most manipulative bitch I've ever known." Deuce said, still calmly. His pitch didn't waver the slightest bit, making one imagine he was talking about the weather instead of a full-on confrontation.

"Are you mocking me?"

"Absolutely not. Perhaps I thought you'd take it as a compliment." Deuce said, his voice betrayed by his eyes that were dancing with laughter.

"Fuck off." Troix snarled.

"Oh I most certainly will. As soon as you die."

"Wh---" Troix was cut off as she screamed and fell to the floor, lifeless.

Deuce dropped the gun he had been holding. He smiled at it lovingly. "I don't like conflict." Deuce said softly to her corpse. Troix didn't answer. Deuce looked at her and then shook his head, walking away.

Croix blinked a few times. Was that the doorbell? He sighed as the person persisted. He wanted to yell at the person to go away, or pretend he wasn't there, but he knew it could be something important for his job. He sighed again, getting up slowly. Perhaps he figured if he went very slowly, the person would give up and go away.

When he opened the door he blinked in surprise. Nobody was there. He shut the door, a little annoyed. When he turned, he screamed. There was the dead body of a postal worker, a bloodstained envelope sticking from the poor woman's chest. He slowly approached the woman, pulling at the envelope.

He clearly saw his name on it. It came out with a sickening slurp. Then, her body fell to the ground. He jumped in surprise and disgust. He felt a little freaked out, so he ran to his room, taking the letter with him. He closed the door carefully, and then set the bloody envelope down on the desk. He slowly touched the edges, running a finger under the seal.

He shakily pulled the letter out. It was still legible, despite the blood. He didn't want to read it, but his curiosity got the better of him. He started reading it. Golden eyes flashed through Croix' brain and he gasped, dropping the letter. The letter fluttered to the ground, the paper falling open for the whole world to read.

//Are you prepared for me Master Croix? I sure hope you are...//
